you can buy the two coins you want at the exchange, the first step you have to look at the exchange where the coin is sold and make sure the contract address network is the same so you won't buy the wrong coin.
Can someone tell me how/where to buy BEAM and VET coins? Of course they're not sold thru Coinbase and I couldn't find the contract address on coin market cap. They're not pulling up on pancake or uniswap. I have TRUST wallet and would prefer to purchase through that.

Both altcoins are Binance listed. I would prefer to buy from there even though the volume is also good. As a decentralized exchange, I agree to support Binance exchange. Trust wallet is also powered by Binance exchange. Vechain is my favorite one, but maybe you should think again about the Beam. But I don't feel comfortable at the "Pancakeswap" exchange. if you want to invest in VET, then of course you can buy VET on Binance, Huobi, KuCoin, Gate.io and Bittrex, but of course I would prefer you to invest VET on Binance, because Binance is the largest exchange at this time and has a high volume, so it will make easier for you to buy and sell VET in the future, then of course you can buy BEAM on Binance exchange too.
Thank you; I already had the CoinMarket app....I did go and click on markets..Does "Pairing" mean the subject coin can be converted to/from the other coin?
Yes that's what pairing means. Like if you have bitcoin on Coinbase and deposit/transfer it to the exchange where vet and beam is listed then you should choose the btc/beam or btc/vet pair.Should I choose the one that has the highest liquidity and confidence level? Also, of the exhanges listed for BEAM, the closest I see to what I have is Binance..I have Binance US though...
Yes, always choose the one with the highest liquidity.

Highest liquidity means highest trading volume, if the exchange has good reputation in the past, you can use the exchange. Also, of the exhanges listed for BEAM, the closest I see to what I have is Binance..I have Binance US though...
Binance.com is different from binance US, if binance US is among the listed exchange, you will be able to see it there with low liquidity if compared to binance.com with the same coin paired. If you can not get it through that above link easily, try to change your broswer mode to desktop mode in the broswer settings. If not still work, you can download the coinmarketcap app, search the coin you want using the app, click on the coin, scroll down and press on market. It will list all the coin paired with the coin and also list the exchanges it is paired. Or you can access it on Coingecko also which is more broswer friendly while checking the exchanges it is paired with other coins

Trust wallet only support receive and send both of those coin, but you can't buy it yet.
Regarding to buy VET and BEAM you can read the above post to find which exchanges you want to use, but I think Binance is good option since it's has high liquidity and popular. If you care about your privacy you can trade with member in this section and make sure you use trusted escrow.

You can't find their contract addresses because they're neither ERC 20 nor BSC 20 tokens. But still, you can find where they're sold:
