Bitcoin is getting bigcoin
while you are a small miner like me (10 th/s) i think you mean that you got fresh air from a fan with pipe 160 cm to your miningplace (upstairs in my home)

all i use is a canna-filter but i placed the canna-filter outside off my house and suck the fresh (and clean ) air out off the filter and blow this to my rig

this is a low-cost solution for small miners

WOW! That looks GREAT, I think thats right what I need, Is just that I havent seen that material around here in Venezuela. I just bought a window screen to keep away insects and most of the small things. Im still looking for a better solution.
It's a standard G2 particle HVAC filter. However, due to the nature of this dust and the air volume, a better choice would be G3.

Here is how our miners looked like just before we added the filters: https://www.facebook.com/StartHash/photos/pb.957932014225142.-2207520000.1440235669./1004522879566055/?type=3&theater

You might also add individual filter slices to each miner fan (or even industrial hairnets) to reduce the dust inside (some will still get in, plus the stuff around will be dusty anyway).

I use a combination of custom sized screens and synthetic hog hair air filters.

It kind of depends on your area if you get lots of dust/bugs you will need a screen for sure and possibly a filter of sorts.

The one that suggested having all windows closed I would not do.  This chances are means your using AC to cool with is to expensive.  I personally am using a lot of CFM's through a few different fan's it allows me to keep my mini farm running even during the hot summer day's that luckily are mostly gone.

Mining since 2010 & Hosting since 2012
Get some HVAC rated filters and you need to build a manifold that can house enough for your desired air flow and make sure you are "pulling" across it, not "pushing" through it.

I run a small farm with speeds the same as yours, it also uses direct air cooling. One of the problems I've faced over the years was dealing with dust and bugs from the outside world. I had a miner catch on fire which I suspect may have been related to the build up of dirt and dust choking the fan. To be sure this doesn't happen again I made filters from woman's leg stockings. I cut them to the right size and patch them over the input fans with tight elastic bands. I typically use small form factors like Antminer's so it's basically one filter per miner. As far as I can tell there is no interruption to cooling and when it's time to start reselling, they simply don't look disgusting and messy.

how is the air coming from outside, are all the windows closed? or maybe you're not pointeing the big fan in the right direction, i don't know how you setup all this

but ideally those fan should be in front of the fan of your miners and should be directed outside by using a tube which will work like a channel

Im running a 10 th/s minifarm here in Venezuela, where you can find temperatures ranging from 17ºC to 27ºC. The S4+ run at 66-72ºC most of the time, and the S5s @ 46-53ºC. Im not planning on overlocking them ever, I just want them to stay as cool as possible, so i bought 2 16" extract fans of 1/6 hp to take the hot air out of the miners / room. Which leads me to my concern of having messy air comming in directly from the outside. So, any idea of what should i do to prevent this from happening?

BTW, Im sorry for my terrible english
