A client hired me to write some articles in April. They contacted me on Telegram and paid an advance. Since then, I've not been able to reach them. I've done half of the job and though I need the balance, I'm more concerned about their safety. By the way, they said they're not a member of the forum, but know a moderator here. I've contacted the mod but he doesn't seem to know my client What I have is just his Telegram username. Who has an idea how to find my client? I just need a guide and won't be sharing their details to protect their privacy.

What about their safety why are you concerned about their safety is your client in a war-torn country, id telegram is their only means of communication then you have no chance to contact them just wait for them to contact you since you posted it here, you have to respect their privacy, I'm sure they will contact you if they surf this forum again and have seen this thread.

Moderators for privacy concerns will not give you details unless you have a compelling reason why you need to get in touch to them, payment is not compelling enough.

If you claimed they paid you already, you can track their wallet address through ninjastic.space and do a broad investigation as to know the wallets it has transacted with and do a search here too if that wallet seen or has been recorded here too. you can see them or have clues in that way to reaching out to your clients if there are any traceable details rightly available here for you to take note of.

Just seeing this. I'll try it right away.
Last transaction was more than 60 days ago.
Also apply patience. Most times some things happen for a very good reason. Perhaps become more attentive and listen to your intuition more.
It all becomes clear why the transaction began in the first place.

Please do also track the records of address as directed on ninjastic.space. Try to be positive and think only about the opportunity such a delimma has opened you to.

Not sure I want to share their username for privacy sake. I also have their email. I think I'll continue with the job in case they show up.

Sharing a telegram username is not a big deal nor does it intrude that much on privacy. If you share here, it is much more likely that someone will be found who has contact with that person. Perhaps you can also set up an email with a partially *** hidden name, so that those who know can recognize it, and still not expose it to unnecessary spam.
This way you only have guesswork, no useful information that would help you.
This what I also told him. As it is, he is swimming in the biggest ocean that doesn't know when to land. But if he would provided those needed information at least it would have leasing his efforts of wide thinking information to know the person. I don't know why the op even open this thread for such case when he knows that he is not going to provide the searching person information. Op we are not saying that when you provide the person information he would be found once NO but it would given you straight forward answer of Yes and no.

What do you mean that you need the balance? You just told us that they had paid you in advanced, right? It seems that these 2 sentences are contradicting.
Anyways, with that little information given to you, I doubt that you will be able to find them, unless you were able to identify who is the moderator they know. From that you might have a better chance of getting in touch with them again.
Just like what other member(s) said, checking their BTC address' transactions could also give you some hints.
I don't know whether OP's main concern is to finish the work and get the whole payment, or to spend the money paid in advance before knowing if everything is fine.

In the first case, if they disappeared all of a sudden, I wouldn't expect to finish the job and get everything paid; but in the second case, you've done everything in your power to deliver and the fault is your client's, so I wouldn't wait to spend the rightfully earned money if I needed to access my balance.

As I understand they paid you in advance just part of money, not for whole job? That's not good sitaution.
The OP have been paid already in advance to start the work but they never have responded the OP back even though they have already paid OP. The employer didn't get or check OP's work yet and OP still didn't finish the work yet too.

So, this is something about a concern being a good human, not as an employee. I guess you could keep your work that you made for them, stop continuing the work temporarily, and wait till they respond. You can't do anything other than that even you may knew his/er other social accounts.

Yes, they paid a lot of money for the job and I really feel bad if they didn't collect it or something has happened to them. When they contacted me and we agreed on the deal, never knew he'd trust a stranger with all that money without escrow, so I really hope they're safe.

Sometimes there are times clients became suddenly busy IRL so I guess you just need for them to respond because if they didn't need your service they will not pay you in half.
Just don't submit any of your work unless you get the full payment for it.

Also much better to finish the job and wait for them to contact you and submit then ask for the full payment. Since its so bad if you stop it right now and suddenly they came back then you cannot submit anything because you stop it.

Never thought of this. He paid more than half of the money. I got discouraged when he went MiA. I also am worried if I put in another full month of work at the expense of my other jobs and they still do not show up. Maybe I should try this and wait another one month. Thanks.

Since you have their Telegram usernames, you can share it here so if anyone can identify them. Telegram username is a public name so even though you share there is nothing spoiled. And if you have their other. I also advise you to be patient, probably they might think that the work is big and it would take time for you to complete it and also probably they are also doing another project at somewhere. April to June is some how far distance but since they have paid part of the service fee. I believe they will show up. If you can finished the work so that whenever they came back, and pay you the remaining balance then you submit the whole work to them. And that will also create trust among you guys.
At first when I saw the topic I was like, what kind of topic is this. And when I enter the inside I understand the whole story.

There is no other way of contacting them in other messaging app but only through that Telegram account they've used to message you. If they've paid in advance just to get you work out and then the remaining balance when the work is fully done and complete, that's the typical contract that freelancers does and I guess that's the concern rather than the other one. Regardless of that, keep them informed on that account they've used to message you and what's the situation that both of you are experiencing and the terms that you've agreed with.

Isn't it that Telegram accounts have number? Do you see their contact number there? and how long you've been waiting for them? I guess that's the only way aside from chatting them on that username so if it's visible on your end their contact phone number and if you want to contact them that is pretty much the way.

If they contacted you through Telegram and you don't have any other their contacts, I'm afraid that it will be almost impossible to find them. It's possible that something happened for them, but you can't know. No idea what to suggest for you.
