I mean, is he in possession of any kind of proof or evidence against you? In his report he clearly specifies that you are running a ponzi and you can run away at any time, if he does not have any proofs of that then he is abusing the system and therefore should be kicked out of the default trust system like many other people. One thing that really bugs me is why some people on default trust, they are there for a reason i suppose, have so little sent feedback, you would expect them to use the trust system way more. Are they just wasting their position?

He is not in any possession of anything. He wanted to work with me, and I felt that he was dishonest and rude, and as such I chose not to work with him. He then said that I had better start treating him with more respect if I wanted him as a customer. I informed him that sellers are not my customers, that the buyers were my customers, and that his ego has essentially torpedoed any chance of him being represented by Bitcoin-Brokers. That is all he has...just me indicating that I will not work with him. That is when he went on his little rampage with the Trust System.

I have had 6500 transactions with hundreds of buyers and sellers. I work with a handful of sellers every day and a few hundred buyers who repeatedly come back to use the service all the time. Nobody has ever been scammed in any sense.

Interestingly enough, he has negative (albeit untrusted) feedback from quite a few other people who claim he has left them dishonest feedback.

On his trust page, under Untrusted Feedback:

"tagged" left him negative feedback for leaving negative feedback for no reason.
"DrahogErusiel" left him negative feedback for "abusing trust system"

Not sure about the validity of these claims, but there is a chance he's been using his position in DefaultTrust to attack competition?
Not certain, don't consider this an allegation, but this might support you if you look more into it.

I have spoken with this person, and apologized for our argument, and asked him if he could please remove the negative rating.

He is refusing to do so.

What would be the wisest way to handle this situation?

I am open to suggestions. I just want this resolved as quietly and quickly as possible.

Is it appropriate to contact a Mod about something like this?

This is all new to me.

Thanks for any suggestions.
Talk to escrow.ms about having BenAnh removed from DefaultTrust. escrow.ms is the person on default trust who trusts BenAnh, which is why many people will see his ratings. If he is removed, then the rating will stay, but be less noticeable. explain the situation to escrow.ms and explain why you think he might be abusing trust.

OK, if you think that is a good idea I will do it. I had always just allowed my review thread to be my Trust system, and never asked anybody to use the Trust system and now this guy causes those bloody red letters which just scares away people. I know those red warning letters would scare me away if I had never dealt with a company before.

I appreciate your advice.

From the looks of it you took my advice. Roll Eyes
Trust is not moderated. You should try to work it out with him personally. If you cannot work out a fair resolution then you should open a thread in meta. If you go straight to opening a thread then you are just trying to start trouble.

As mentioned previously, you should attempt to work out your differences between yourself and the person who left you the trust. I have not looked into his claim of you being a ponzi as of now, however the number of scams on here does make a lot of people reasonable suspicious about many things that may not raise suspicion in the "real world"

Trust is not moderated, speak with BenAnh[1] they are on the trust list of escrow.ms.

[1] https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/benanh-275756

How do you see who left the trust rating?

It was BenAnh who I had the problem with......I had a feeling it was him slandering me after I refused to allow him to be a seller with Bitcoin-Brokers.

Just click on the trust in your profile and it will show the name. In your case here it is : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=120945

Ah OK, I see now. Thanks for your help.

I will contact this member and ask him politely to remove what he did.

We never had one single transaction together, and it is unfair for him to tarnish what had been a zero complaint profile just because he was not happy that I decided not to work with him. Its so unprofessional.

If you haven't done anything wrong, you can just talk to BenAh and get the matter resolved either in PMs or here. Your earlier transactions that have been completed don't matter but what matters is the reason why the negative was left.

The thread which you posted here doesn't show any relevance here as the last time you posted there was in June and the trust rating was left just 1 day ago.

"Ponzi scheme, I will never trade with this individual or his so called company ever! " Seems the user has just given you a rating since you're running a ponzi which is often termed as a scam. MODs cannot help in this case.

I run the website www.bitcoin-brokers.org

My review thread is found here:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buy-bitcoin-with-cash-deposits-at-most-banks-in-the-usa-with-bitcoin-brokers-237164

In 2 years of running this business, there has never been a single complaint from either buyer, or seller because every single transaction has been perfect. That review thread has 80,000 views and hundreds of comments....not one single complaint ever.

I have handled approximately $7,000,000 worth of transactions over the course of approximately 6500 individual transactions.

Yet somehow within the last week or so, I have suddenly have my trust ranking drop into the negative which is impossible unless it is a competitor trying to impact my business.

I had a member of this forum attempt to become a seller with my business within this last week, and I denied him, and he became abusive in the PM system, and I can only assume that it was him in some way.

Can a mod contact me to speak about this please?

(I still have the PMs stored in my mailbox if the mod wants to see if perhaps it was this member who has initiated this nonsense).

Thanks.
