So a while back I received negative trust because I participated in a ponzi.. There was nothing I did to try to scam anyone as the "game" was completely transparent. Some jerk trying to be bitcoin cop or something went negative trust crazy giving everyone negative trust because he felt it was a scam.
How do I fix this? I want to be more active and participate in the community but often can't because I have negative trust.

Your account is nearly 3 years old and are you saying in these 3 years, you don't know how to remove negative feedback?

Your best bet is to directly contact the people who have need you. I highly doubt that cryptodevil will remove the negative feedback though, he seems to hate ponzis.

If you try be a better person though, I have no doubt that people will not mind your negative feedback.

The user who tagged you had warned other users who participated in that thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.16120675

You posted after that and ignored his warning. The reason he warned the users as those ponzi websites earn/pay members by scamming other users and hence it's like you a promoting this act which is why you were tagged. The site has declared itself as a ponzi website already. Since it's been almost a year, you probably only need to contact the user cryptodevil (however, you should have deleted your post and contacted him that time itself).

At first i thought was earning negative trust was due to accidentally joining a scam site or untrusted campaign thats why i very careful and double checking the group before i joined them but in reality there is a warning given before judging the member so thats is a fair judgement after all by the moderator and a relief for the members.

Yeah thats right( Pardon my ignorance) I just never really concerned myself with it, although if I saw someone with negative trust then I wouldn't trust them. It just doesn't seem right that one or two people who are ignorant to whats going on can declare you as untrustworthy and that label sticks. They didn't even take the time to look at the system or how the game worked they would just slap everyones account with it. So I guess I have to abandon this account and start over if I want to participate in a lot of the cool features of this site. Even the US Govt will take felonies off your record after 7 years ..

There is no way unless the guy who gave you the negative trust decides otherwise. You should talk to him and explain what happened like you did it now. Smiley

Default Trust (DT) is highly controversial and I will not even go there now, as others surely will.

The thing is, if you value your DT score, you have to be pragmatic:

  • DT is apparently here to stay
  • Some DT accounts are giving negative feedback if you show any kind of support for ponzis even openily declaring themselves as such.

If you value your DT score more than you value showing any kind of support for ponzis games, then deal with it: make a public statement about it (create a new topic), then PM the 2 accounts in question, point them to that post and ask them to amend their feedback. At least one of the guys openly says he will remove neg if you do that, so it's worth a try.
