You see "merit+" on the right side of their post it looks like this below.

And after that, you can enter the amount how much merit you can give.

This is pretty much the answer to the title of your post. Just click on that and you're good to go.

And I have noticed that you already have 2 merits. Congratulations! Now you can try and send one to the member whose post you think will classify as a merit-worthy one. There are no particular criteria here. It is upon your discretion. Further, make sure to read those other responses, as well as they, are also relevant to your query.

Many above users already explain briefly about sending sMerit to someone.

Congratulations now you've done got 2 merit from @OgNasty, you can send your sMerit to user which is you think he/she worth to be merited.

Don't forget to lock your topic if you've understood and don't have any question more.

For a newbie with zero merit you are interested in sending others merits. for each 2 merits you receive, you get 1 sMerit you can send.
BTW aren't there threads for this already?

If you spent more time reading about the forum and making good posts rather than spamming to increase activity points you'd have had a merit by now. Focus on creating good content and posts. Also keep in mind that it is against the rules to beg for merit. You most likely won't get a merit for this post or posts like this because it explains nothing and helps no one. Do your best to be helpful to the community and merits will follow

You have 0 sMerit, so it's useless question to ask.
It's actually quite easy, if you don't want to answer whatever the OP asks then just ignore him instead of having to force yourself to answer without adding anything that can help him.  Wink

Regarding the OP's question, I think he got the right answer and there is nothing more to add. It's just that I want the OP to immediately lock this thread so that there is no further discussion if it has received an answer and is understood. Regardless of whether the OP will respond to user answers or not, I think the thread is worth lock up.

Pay attention to the OP's post history. I think that this is not the person who is interested in merit. Perhaps he once rated star posts, and just wanted to thank upgrade00 for the post that came in handy.
Actually, I am not responded to OP's question. Just for the one who I quoted above where he says he should concentrate on how to make merits or else, he will stay at the newbie for too long. No hard feelings just my 2 cents. Smiley

So first, you need Merits if you want to give Merits to someone deserving in this forum. You are still holding a rank of a Newbie after being in this forum for more than 2 years.

Your topic heading does not match the content that you have written, if you carry on like this you will remain a Newbie for the next two years too. In my opinion, you should work on creating good content first and then think about Merits.
The calculation is very simple sMerit = Number of Merits earned/2 + airdropped merit (if there is any)

Well, ranking up should not be the ultimate goal for anyone who is posting in this forum or else it leads to constructive on-topic spam. It's okay that OP stays in the newbie status as long as he is not posting craps all around the forum.

better try mentioning Him with @ so he'll Notice your Post here
TryNinja's bot is very robust and I get notified in seconds when I'm mentioned or my reply quoted, whether or not the user includes the @ symbol.
I assumed op mistakenly opened a new topic rather than replying to an existing one, cause it's not practical to open a new topic for every post you find helpful. I think that error occurs when one takes to long too SEND their reply and the session times out.

But from the topic title it seems they deliberately created a new thread to ask how to send merits for posts they consider to be good.

So you made this Post to try fetching merit from HIM? because the title does not even relevant to your Post .

For me it's an obvious trying , but sad that he don't Him you one , better try mentioning Him with @ so he'll Notice your Post here and might consider giving you a single merit so you'll become a Jr.Member at last .

You are in the wrong section to ask or discuss Merit. You can move this thread to "Meta" or "Beginners & Help" section.
Anyway, you need to have merit first, at least 2 merits. So you will have "smerit" to send to another member. If you have 0 merit, you cannot do it as it is impossible.  Smiley

It's true that without merits you can't send smerits so I think the OP needs to be leveled again to get it first, and at least you already know that sending smerits and threads is provided so the OP can see how it works.

I just remind you with better posts that can get your initial merit so keep contributing and seeing high ranking account posts are usually the motivation for the OP.

But since you don't have merit yet you can't able to send or give merit yet to someone.

So check this thread below to learn how to get merit.
