How do I put money in my Bitcoin wallet? It isn't accepting my Bitcoin address for some reason, so I don't know what to do.

I’m not quite sure what you mean here, I’m confused.

You first need to use an exchange to buy the Bitcoin which is held in a wallet on your Exchange account. You can then send that to your personal or “cold” wallet by using the public address or QR code.

The main thing is to say where you want to transfer these bitcoins to your wallet. Did you use an exchange like Coinbase to buy Bitcoins? Or someone else is trying to send to you bitcoins?

Bitcoins addresses start with only 1, 3 or bc1. If it starts with 2, m, n or tb1. It is an address of the testnet blocknet . It has no commercial function. Some people may try to cheat by saying that they will send Bitcoins and actually send Bitcoins testnet.

Thank you for sharing, I know today that BTC addresses have these distinctions.

Maybe you get a bech32 native segwit address "bc1" starting and the exchange not accept it. If this is the problem you should get a bitcoin address starting with 1 or 3. But before sending money to your bitcoin wallet make sure you have backup your wallet and only you own private keys.

You should buy bitcoin first with your money in some exchanges like Coinbase check this link https://www.coinbase.com/global# if your country is listed you can buy bitcoin through a bank account or Debit/credit card.

After you buy bitcoin in Coinbase you can receive bitcoin directly to your Coinbase wallet if you want to send bitcoin to other wallets you can follow the guide from Coinbase here How Do I send Digital currency to another wallet?

Let me ask where is your money comes from? From a debit card or bank account? or are you trying to send money as a crypto?

Can you give the initial letter.

If it’s bc1 and you’re trying to send from an exchange, it probably doesn’t support bech32 style addresses so you will probably have to make a legacy wallet for the funds to be sent to. If you don’t know of one, electrum is quite good. From electrum.org/#download

Mind giving more details? Are you trying to withdraw funds from exchange to your personal wallet? If yes, what are the used services?
