Hi,

Yes the altcoins that I want to search for are the ones that have been released in 2023/24 that are in the top 300 crypto rankings?

How do I filter the above search result?

Then from there I want to filter it by 1 step further by sorting by the lowest % from its All-Time-Low price.

Thanks,
AFAIK, both the sites offer rankings based on marketcap value of all time and I don't remember existence of filtering coins especially from years bracket. And it's irrelevant too as far as the marketcap value concerned. You can use the search option to find the project and then you can find the official website and road map and everything where you can find all the details you want individually.

You mean the phone apps has more search filters in compared to its desktop browser versions?

The app itself on the phone does not have the option to filter the date or year you want the only things you can see there are top 100, top 300, and recently added.

You can use the recently added since what you looking for is 2023/2024 and it is the same as in the browser that's the only option. Sorting or filtering a date in Coingecko is not available.

On the CMC app and in the browser there's no option for the date even in customize.

Why not just use the recently added instead?

You will not find all types of ALT coins on these two sites Coinmarketcap or CoinGecko but you will find all those coins on these sites which coins are listed on these sites. Usually the best coins in the market are listed on these sites. These two sites are the most used and investors or other users find different coins on these sites. Since these two sites are very popular, listing any coin on these two sites requires a large amount of money and besides the money, the project has to be very authentic. We can easily get information about the ALT coins listed on these sites by searching on Google.

I don't know any website that completely offers this kind of filter you want to use to sort those coins. The coinmarket cap and coingecko that I know don't have all the features that help you sort cryptocurrencies by the date they were launched, but you can actually get all the information you want by doing a manual search. On Coin Gecko, for any coins you open and click on "about coins,"  you can actually get more information about the coins, including the ATH and when the project was developed.

There's 10,000s low marketcap altcoins. To research on the top ranking ones ranked 100-300 one by one is lets say challenging. There's even old coins that haven't surpassed its 2017/18 all time highs bull market highs so these will be risky to hold. I am interested in new projects/trends that haven't experienced a bull market yet.

I think this will definitely be a personal research as things stands now both this tools you mentioned do not have such function on them. On the app which is more easier to navigate you can simply rank them by market cap, categories or even recently added. My advice is you categorize them base on the narrative you are looking for and then look for one’s on top of the new narratives. As for searching by ATH both of these tools so far haven’t added such feature yet. I think you need to write out your narrative and take out time to search them individually, they can’t be in hundreds. Then the ATH of each of them has the date it was recorded that will tell you those that haven’t added new ATH since 2017.

OP common, don't be that lazy to explore the apps,  coinmarketcap and coingecko are very simple to use, these apps are self-explanatory themselves, you can just explore the features in them by giving more time to discover many more untold experience you can have with these crypto app, they have the list all off the existing cryptocurrencies and their respective data as available, all other features can be tract when you go through the apps yourself to learn more, they are easy to navigate through and understand.

Then from there I want to filter it by 1 step further by sorting by the lowest % from its All-Time-Low price.
With Coinmarketcap, click on Customize, you can choose From ATH, From ATL, %YTD.
That’s just about what you can get when it comes to customization on most of these exchanges, same goals with Coinmarket cap. It could as well narrow things down to the highs and low within a time frame but, wouldn’t filter according to dates.

Meanwhile, it’s easier to be old school and check out the coins within the top 300 as, the list is always largely published. Should you be looking out for some low market capitalization coin, you get to pick one and go old school on it, read about it, what network it’s built on, what protocol it operates, what’s it’s watchlist like, what’s the news on it and all that to get an idea that would prompt you to the next decider.

I know it does not help you completely but partially it is helpful.

Coinmarketcap does not have filter for date of TGE as I know bvut you can use that filter to narrow down your list. Then check it more with Trading view or directly on coinmarketcap with a page for each cryptocurrency, choose the time frame of its chart, to All, and see how long has it been lasting till 2024.

CoinGecko does not have this?

Sorry what is TGE?

Its arrange on top to bottom so youll see but also you can check what particular parameter you wanna take look lile marketcap, volume, users or etc. That has an impact on the current ranking but if its the original overall basis then you dont need to use any paramters and scroll it down up to what rank the coins or tokens you are looking for.
