I'm new to the crypto world and I've watched youtube videos but they weren't too much help.  How would I go about setting up a hardware wallet?  Sorry if this topic has already been discussed on a previous thread.  It would be awesome if you could post the link.

Thanks in advance!

Look for any hardware wallet and download it. Any wallet web site will teach you how to use it, so do not ask a silly question here.

Hardware wallet is an object, you can't download it in any site or in play store. You need to buy or purchase it before you have it.

Thank you!  This indeed is a silly question. The reason I was looking for a hardware wallet was because I currently use myetheruen wallet and my laptop is too slow to download all the nodes. I want to transfer everything from my GitHub wallet to somewhere secure and easily accessible

The main thing to do when you get one is verify the backup seed. You can do this by noting it down, not putting any money into it and making a note of the first Bitcoin address it gives you.

Wipe the hardware wallet. Re enter the seed and make sure you have the same address. Then you can put some money onto it knowing that the seed is good. Anyone who finds the seed can nab your BTC so make sure it's safely stored away.

I have never seen a less intelligent person than you in my life.

If you get a Trezor like me, it's extremely easy to set up.  After you buy it and get it delivered, all you have to do is plug it into your computer with a USB cable and go to the site wallet.trezor.io (or go through mytrezor.com).

It'll tell you to write down the seed on a card that they give you and explain a few details about the experience.

In general it's extremely user friendly and you shouldn't worry.

Each wallet has its own function and setup. When you are downloading a hardware wallet, or purchasing one, look for the documentation. It will guide you on how to set up and use it. Welcome in advance Smiley
