There is someone there that can probably help you find your answer. You can also move
this entire thread there, might be a little more useful that way. At the bottom left side of
YOUR post there is an option to move it. Goodluck!!!

I read the following beginners guide to the electrum wallet:

https://bitzuma.com/posts/a-beginners-guide-to-the-electrum-bitcoin-wallet/

The guide says it is best to verify your electrum download before installing it, and it links to the following guidance explaining how you use a program called Kleopatra to do this.

https://bitzuma.com/posts/how-to-verify-an-electrum-download-on-windows/

So I have installed Kleopatra.
I have downloaded the electrum wallet executable file ready to install (electrum-3.0.3-setup.exe).
I have created an .asc file ( electrum-3.0.3-setup.exe.asc.asc).

The guidance says I just need to double click on the .asc file and Kleopatra should present me with a window titled “Verify Files” with a green bar at the top.

Instead Kleopatra presents me with a window containing the following text, and no green bar

Detailed results of importing C:\Users\Acer\Downloads\electrum-3.0.3-setup.exe.asc.asc:
Total number processed:   0
Imported:   0

Any idea what I am supposed to do from here? Should I still persist with trying to verify this download? Can anyone advise where they got their electrum wallet from?
