Rumour will always come but it bad for one to continue spreading it. Anytime a hear about a rumour, I take my time to make finding about it to know how true it is.

Different individuals handles rumours differently, rumours are handled based on the level of ones emotional tolerance speaking for myself I don't easily fall for rumours and am not moved at the assertion of it until a certain level that I will consider it to be true, rumours has caused accident even death and alot of negativity thou most can turn out to be true.
In my opinion rumours should be confirmed without hesitation before conclusions should be made.

   In order for you to handle rumour properly,one have to give only the detailed information without repeating the wrong information itself ,don behave as if you know all about the rumour by taking it personal and, act quickly and find the root of the rumor , reach out to everyone if the rumor is false or not and you should realize that it will take alot of time before the rumor stop.

   When you want to stop rumor, you should behave and react wrightly, when questions are being asked,answer them not keeping quiet. Do not allow others to see you how you feel or being aggressive about it, avoid quarrelling or fighting when the rumor is at its peak,and look for any adult or person in authority to assist also you just have to be old enough to handle the issues yourself, which you have to find out what leads to it and stop it,tell them it is not true if possible and open up the rumor, look for where it started from and address it and relax.

Op I commend you on this but advice you title the topic "impact of rumors on Bitcoin" I see rumors as inevitable characteristics of human only those that don't know their direction in life suffer the impact of rumors. Rumors is just a news unverifiable with evidence, it have killed many dreams, take away many life, and bring down many career. I don't see rumors as anything because is when you believe anything you hard with verifying, that it affects you, I always confirm what ever anyone tells me before carrying out in mind. One experience I hard when I started using Bitcoin my friend told me I have join the league of using phone to scam people that there is no real coin that Bitcoin is for the rich is not possible to even buy it, I see the level of ignorance on him I shake head, what it means is that ignorant people are the Carrier of rumors for you not to be ignorant as they are you need make your search,just as you do you have differentiate yourself.

Op true true weting you talk no be lie o. Rumours done put people for trouble na why if me ah never get upto 6 confirmations ah no go involve myself for that conversation. For better understanding, rumours are information that its validation are uncertain they may end up been true or false.

Normally things dey way you go read online, way no be from reliable source, you go know say this one na just talk the person dey talk. But if you read am from, either online news media way dey verified then you go begin believe am small, still on still make you still go do your research to know if na true or na lie. OP, I understand your point but I still have to tell you that your thread caption does not really correlate with your writeup but that's by the way, rumour is everyday something but handling rumours depends on the individual, if you are informed before you take anything piece of information gotten from some one serious you will first of all make findings or investigations to ascertain the authenticity of such information because rumours can be deceitful most times, as a bitcoin enthusiast you should subscribe to Bitcoin related new sites or apps to get authentic and real fact about Bitcoin and crypto in general in other not to derail, that's if you are part of the game, that's why in bitcoin, you will here something like don't allow FUD to control your decisions or emotions, make sure you work with confirmed facts to be part of the innovation.

Plenty reasons dey why people dey always talk, some dey talk to make you see them for wearing them think say them be mean while them no be anything. So my question now is how u take dey handle rumour on your own so many things fit put person for trouble some rumours wen u fit Dom here and decide to keep am for urself.
