What about those ico scammers from alts?
How can you chase them?
They just create new account and scam again.

Post a report on the SCAM Accusation board, and give the guy a negative rep. After that, wait for DT members to do their work.

Yeah OP, as others have told you we kind of police our own neighborhood here.  It's like a neighborhood watch in a community that doesn't have a police department.  Almost like an episode of The Walking Dead.  We have a fire department and a guy who sells porn, but that's about it.  Put up your scam accusation and we have a painter that comes and slaps on a coat of red.  Tues & Thursdays on the nose.

What is happening with him after you mark him?
He will be marked with negative trust rating; trading is discouraged with such people. It will say "Warning: Trade with extreme caution!".

Will that person be banned after he got many negative references?
No.

Can this system be misused if you don't like someone?
Technically it can't. Only ratings from people on the DefaultTrust depth 1 and 2 matter and are viewed by default; if they abuse their position they will lose it.

ofc it's almost impossible to control all the scammers...But if new people arrive here it's hard! Specially when you have a guy that don't post threads since 2014 but it's always sending private messages to members that complains or asks for something in order to take advantage of ppl. First thing "I am a member since 2014...", this is the thing which I think that it shouldn't be allowed...at least a permanent Scam flag or
That's why you open up a scam accusation against him, provide the proof and someone from Default Trust will put a negative rating on him and he'll be marked as a scammer.

Thanks, Lauda.

I will check how to do that now.
Open up a thread in this section -> Scam Accusations. You can also look at other threads in order to get an idea of how your thread should look like (to make it better and effective).
If your questions have been answered please lock the thread (look at the bottom-left of the thread) to avoid spam. Also if you have any other questions feel free to ask me directly via PM.

@Alani I'm noob here, and that's really great info! I will research a bit more on that. I made a couple of good transactions here but also had bad luck with many Sad (buying, bc I don't sell anything)

Thanks a lot for the support!

Everything comes with experience, I also just noticed the no posts part after checking a bit and searching for his nick (virtual_goods) here.

There used to be a scammer tag but it was removed and replaced with an enchanted, trust web system. If you make friends in this forum, you can modify your trust list to differ form others and place in people you trust. When those people give a negative trust rating to someone, you'll see their trust rating being red, and when they give a positive one, you'll see a plus sign and the total rating being Green if multiple ratings mature. If you don't want to bother with this however, default trust is already in your trust list, this is the most commonly followed trust list, and it began with theymos adding certain trusted people in the first level.

You can also give him a negative rating yourself. Ratings are visible to anyone who visits the trust profile of a user.

Read the forum rules please.

19. Possible (or real) scams and Trust ratings are not moderated (to prevent moderation abuse).
You can obviously create a Scam accusation as others have mentioned, but the staff will not intervene in these cases (and almost never have).

Thanks for the replies.

I don't really understand the fact that "moderators" or "admins" are so efficient to move the thread to a new location but doesn't actually do anything about the real SCAMMERS at this forum... Another one pmed me and I checked that he was a member since 2014...no negative trust points and yet another scammer being reported at threads from 2014!
virtual_goods it's his name ....if someone cares.

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me how to report scammers here? Just had a bad experience with one... Be warned about that "AmazonCards" member.

Thanks.
Best regards,
Lx

I think it should be in the scam accusations board.
Which can be located under the economy forum in the marketplace: I think.
