In reality you cannot be so anonymous as to evade taxes completely. You can use a DEX and buy privacy based coins like Monero but I consider that as a poor investment compared to bitcoin. Dont even talk about the other shitcoin posing as privacy coins, they are even worse.

Now coming to exchanges, there are CEXs but they eventually need your KYC to pass you on specially if you trade in large volumes. Keep using mixers if you think you need them and slowly but steadily you will get drained by using them.

The real question is, are you trying to launder money? If yes, then you will be caught even after whatever precautions you take. If not, then you will be fine even after doing a KYC with a exchange registered on your country.

It is the central theme of Bitcoin. But it is also the central theme of all banking systems in the world that, despite being Regulated, work so that they can also be used to guarantee the anonymity of the "Owners of Money". Bitcoin is not anonymous ... but if you control the "Exchange" .... but if you control the "Bank" In addition, we have to relate this issue to the Price Manipulation caused by Self-Regulation of Whales that circulate a lot of money at very low rates. There are many articles on this subject: https://fintechzoom.com/fintech-news-bitcoin-news/bitcoins-price-manipulation-by-whales-will-diminish-with-increased-adoption/

It is a bit challenging, basically you will need to stay away from exchanges that make KYC a compulsory requirement to make withdrawals or better still, make use of decentralized exchanges

DEX is not enough, may need mixer after that

You can trade using your paypal with the users selling their btc in the forum. They may know your email address but you could be the only one who knew them. Of they could have bought that paypal account. Today, anyting can be bought even the paypal account.

If you are one of those who hasn't started yet and don't wanna register to buy from coinbase with fiat then, this is a good option. No records from the start and from here you can trade in DEX.
Paypal will freeze your account if they found you are dealing with cryptos so using that platform to trade cryptos in huge amount is really a bad idea.People can choose p2p trading sites but still they have KYC procedure.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
The only way is that you have to choose a fairly easy exchange for traders. Bithumb is one of the exchange supports withdraw up to 5 BTC while you do not need to implement KYC. You can trade in bulk but without freezing your account.
So we have one more exchange which we don't have to apply KYC. Binance and Bithumb will be the option for people who wants to avoid KYC, and with withdraw for up to 2 BTC in binance and 5 BT in bithumb, I guess that will enough for people who wants to get the profit. I think they can withdraw it for every day so they will not have a problem to get their money.

You can actually trade on Binance without going through verification, but this is only if you don't need margin. I know that many traders work with margin trading and for this you will definitely need to pass KYC. In addition, if you have not passed KYC before on Binance, the exchange may require you to pass verification at any time if something seems suspicious in your actions.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
it is very difficult to trade large amounts with anonymous. some people may have specific tips, but as far as I know, some popular exchanges have KYC identification to do that to avoid money laundering. in addition, you can also try trading on dex, or markets that do not require KYC.
^ Definitely right, Dex is probably a solution of trading in anonymously way but it is only a limited amount that you can trade. Also Dex is low liquidity that probably takes so long before your trading to others. KYC was always there and that is a part of any CEX exchange. Binance probably did not require KYC if you will able to reach their minimum amount that you can able to withdraw your fund. Below 2 BTC as far as I know that the minimum amount to withdraw even if you are not fully verified. Nevertheless, I don't know what is the reason why you want trading anonymously.

lol, i don't have too much coins to trade  Cool

Just curious about this problem
I guess you just have to go to any exchange which have easy KYC terms and is having huge order-books as at the end of the day you will be selling your coins, so you must pay attention to the order-books of the exchange, if they don't have large order volume then you can go to other exchange. Talking about binance, it have a mere 2 BTC cap for non verified traders and you have to get verified to increase that withdrawal limit of 2 BTC. I personally have never had the need of selling large amount of coins at a time, but if there is a will there is a way, so with a little research you can find solution to any of your problems.

You need to guard yourself before trading anonymously you would like to review the trade sites well and know the various strategies. There are tons of scams within the crypto market therefore the best strategy to trade anonymously is to stay your own security market. just in case of an exchange, you would like to see whether the sites are reliable and to which address you send them. watch out for new links and emails. Only then will you be ready to make a profit by trading tons and trading anonymously.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
There could be multiple other methods but usually whales are making partnership with exchange operators to avoid/solve any possible future problems well in advance. Some exchanges may notice you when you trade drastically increased volume. So, you may demand them for a specialized services for some fee. Out of competition like not making you move to another exchange, I believe almost all exchanges will agree to provide a specialized services.

I have seen emails from my local exchanges for asking to contact them for selling big amount of bitcoins. They stated like do not sell on market but notifying to them for any big orders. Officially they do send mails on this.

Personally I do handle with larger amount of coins by having trading on multiple exchanges (which also provides me best prices comparatively) and sometimes I do make use of my friends' accounts for selling large volume of coins when I desperately needed to catch some price ranges.

Yes, if you have some friends are buying crypto that will be more easier, nice suggest sir

Seems that not many people answered OP properly (I guess he now updated OP to ask just 1 question) I will share how someone I know supposedly trades.

It is not completely anonymous, depending on the option but there are some BTC brokers who do not need to know your name, or you appoint a 3rd party legal person to act on your behalf. This second option means the lawyer knows you but legally he cannot reveal your identity in any case even if for any purpose.

So this guy goes to btc broker, they do trade, and it is pure P2P. He did it with Genesis.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?

 Simple. It's for SECURITY.
Everyone wanted to hide identity when trading large amount bitcoin. Safety is more important than being caught by those who have bad intentions. We do not know the thinking of other, they could be an spy to know your real identity. Afterall, bitcoin has a value now.

But to be honest, being completely anonymous is quite hard these, Exchanges are now imposing KYC for transactions involving amounts as little as $10,000 so, there is no way of avoiding getting verified if one wants to trade.
For sure, if they started to make huge transaction especially in some exchanges, they already know that their identity could be known and can put to risk. But what if some whales are hiding behind some another person? Could this possible? Like if you are whale and want to hide your identity, you will hire some other people to use their identity or create some random or fake identity just to hide yours.

maybe it can all happen, by using other people's identities and in various ways maybe they will use as much as possible so that their identities are not known, but every person will experience mistakes and negligence, and it will certainly endanger himself for sure to find out his identity. and will produce them in an insecure zone.

I think the only way to trade anonymous is to use a descentralized exchange . If you trade high volume on centralised exchanges it could be possible to provide a KYC and also block/lose your funds . Take care

For high trades their would-be KYC required so does binance for that matter also require it. Only if you trade is limited or want to withdraw less amount you do not have to go with KYC. Also, if country has legally approved it and the exchange is trustworthy then one even go for KYC in such cases.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
Well, actually there are too many ways if you are choosing a decentralized exchange, but most commonly bitcoin transactions can be traceable.
One of the reasons why most of us prefer to trade anonymously is because of security nowadays hackers are too aggressive that they will even steal all your personal information, and use it for their own goods especially if you are one of the whales then tons of bitcoins can be stolen to you if they can have access to your personal information and your account. Perhaps you want to know how we can trade anonymously is by your username and the rest of the transaction may no longer be 100% anonymous especially when you do exchanges like cashing your bitcoin. Indeed, --KYC's are now being imposed on any form of trading and as soon as it will be implemented in cryptocurrency then much likely we cannot do trading anonymously anymore.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
You can use decentralized exchange to trade completely anonymous but converting fiat into crypto or vice versa can be a hard task to do with complete anonymous, you can use p2p exchange but still that trader knows your payment details and can track your identity.
Today, many cryptocurrency exchanges are forced to follow the rules that are set by regulators to legalize their business. Nevertheless, on each exchange there is a minimum amount of funds that a trader has the right to withdraw from his account, while he does not require verification. there are a lot of bir on the cryptocurrency market, among which you can make a choice where KYC is optional. At least I use Binance and passport data I still have not provided. And you are right that this does not apply to cryptocurrency cashing.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?
You can't get rid of "spies" in Whale - alert. One of the signal channels in Telegram is watched by more than hundred thousand people. Your actions will be monitored if your transaction is greater than $ 1 million.
If you are trading on exchanges then you need to do KYC. If you do not conduct KYC and trade in large quantities, the exchange team will suspect you are a hacker and may freeze your account at any time.

I think peopel are care about the msg about exchange transcation from Whale-alert

If you see the msg shows the transcation between 2 unkown addresses, you won't get much from this alert msg

Why the whales want to trade as anonymous?
...

In the cryptocurrency market, everyone wants to remain anonymous. Even those who have a very small turnover in trading do not want to disclose confidential information about themselves and do not pass verification on the exchange. Now imagine what these MM's have balances that can guide the market in any direction. That's why they don't want to be linked to their balance sheets.
Actually i don't find reason why need to be specific in whales when all of us(or maybe almost all) wanted to  remain anonymous so where did he get the idea asking this since it is obviously answered around the forum.

and also i believe that Yeah we can be not having true anonymity but at least respect our desires of being hidden unless there are few who will make our identity broadcast in what reason?i don't know but still i will choose tp be anonymous .

When we do talk about Anonymity then it would particular cover up;

Personal Info
Taxation matters
Money laundering
etc...

People here on this market do really prioritize anonymity thats why it become popular but due to centralization on most exchangers excluding dex ones then that
primary motive is slowly turning to the contrary path.Asking on how whales do make those big transactions? Of course they do comply out on whats asked.

DEX is there but it do still lack of liquidity and also we cant cash out or make transactions towards fiat thats why we dont have any choice to take but to trade
on those centralized platforms.Aside from p2p tx's then this would be the closest way on how to deal up with crypto to fiat or fiat to crypto.

There are way too many bots that could help anyone with these kinds of problems. I know it is not healthy and its quite risky but they are out there. How? You could basically make bots that will trade from thousands of accounts to thousands of wallets, that way you can even trade on binance without getting too much attention.

All you have to do is 500 accounts, all maxing out 2 bitcoin without KYC, and an automatic bot that would basically all buy bitcoin or sell bitcoin and you would be doing it anonymously. Of course I am not saying it will work, there are risks involved because if you get caught you could be banned and that is a ton of money to lose in that case. But there are methods, plus if we are talking about non-whales, it is even more simple right now.

How do we trade as anonymous when we trading with a large amount?

I don't want to trade with a large amount with someone that I don't know because that will be too risky for me. It is better that I do that with a small amount to try the services so then I can start another transaction with the people who I can trust. But if you want to trade as anonymous, I think you can try with OTC, but I am not yet trying the services because I still use the exchange and some of my friends who always help me if I want to buy bitcoin.

I live in Ukraine and my government has decided not to prohibit any activity related to cryptocurrency. every citizen can invest in cryptocurrency, buy or trade cryptocurrency. but at the same time, transactions that will exceed $ 1,500 will require verification and will therefore need to be taxed. Based on this, I believe that traders who work in the cryptocurrency market in my country, as well as in other countries, try to avoid the excessive attention of certain state structures and avoid taxation, as their daily cash flow exceeds the established government standards. it is possible that precisely because of this their desire to be anonymous is so strong.

In my opinion not only whales who want to trade as anonymous, but we all want to trade as anonymous. Because of personal data very important
and not for dissemination. Especially whales that have cryptocurrency in large numbers, would be very dangerous if not anonymous, hackers will
target whales if the data is opened to the public. Then to trade BTC to ETH so that the transactions are credible, must look for credible exchanges
as well as a trading place. Whales trading with crypto in large numbers, they must convert crypto to fiat to finish the transaction.

Why the whales want to trade as anonymous?

If they are trading by any payment method ,that means their name are known by the payment services.

Q1: If they are trading by crypto like BTC to ETH , how to make the transcation credible?

Q2:  If they trade ETH/BTC as a large amount and the whales still keeping anonymous, how do they finish this transcation?
In fact, they don't need to buy ETH or BTC on any intermediate exchange. they all have bitcoin miners, they will use BTC there to trade and manipulate the crypto market. All their activities are anonymous and they won't let anyone know their identity. This is a market with strong manipulation and also the most anonymous billionaires. Cheesy

Why the whales want to trade as anonymous?
I just want to answer this question because I have a few ideas about this topic. If we come to the answers;

- In order not to have any trouble with the state,
- In order not to pay taxes on their earnings,
- In order not to disclose their identity,
- In order not to attract attention,
- Easy to control the market without knowing

For these reasons, I think big investors keep their identities anonymous.
If you are trading with a huge amount then you cannot hide from the state and you will be paying the taxes to avoid getting into trouble and you only need to pay the tax if you are converting crypto to fiat.

Majority of the volume takes places in centralized exchanges and can you pinpoint one exchange where you can trade anonymously as a whale Tongue.
The exchanges will not reveal the identity of the customers unless there is legal issues associated with the customer. So basically the whales are not anonymous like you think Tongue.

If i sell usdt to fiat , do i need to pay tax for the earning?

so you are asking the question because you yourself is a whale ? whale or not whale i think both are still the same ,  all of us here on the crypto ecosysytem are equal and are anonymous so how can they know our names and charge us a tax ?

charged us with transaction fee maybe because that is part of the game  but when it comes to tax matters , all of those only exist on a real world imo  .

Staying anonymous is basically obvious for security reasons and nothing else. However how they do it is basically different for each of them, not same for any of them.

For example, some people use business' accounts for it and take it personally instead. There are tons of wall street companies who have accounts on places like coinbase and they are all legit in any way you can think, after they connect to coinbase, they charge you regular money for something, and they use it to buy bitcoin, and they pay you in bitcoin, that way they can either stay anon or basically not give info to anyone else that they didn't want.

There are dozens of different methods and they use it however they want, it all depends on how much money we are talking about when we say whales.

Not only whale but we also like to be anonymous. But it cannot remain anonymous in the end. Because most of the exchanges want kyc, so you have to give your information to the exchange. The same rule applies to whales, so since (I am not a whale, I can't guarantee this). Grin If the whale has kyc like us then the exchange knows his identity, but they will not share his identity for privacy reason. If the whale comes in front of everyone then there are some problems for him. Since whales have a huge amount of funds, there is a security issue here.

Who wants to be known when you trade? If you perform any transactions in cryptocurrency, you should be anonymous so that people will not have any idea about your identity and accounts. People are really prone to scamming and hacking when their identity are exposed or made into public that's why it is really guaranteed to perform trading using other accounts.

It is much safer for people to hide their identities during transactions so that hackers will not detect them and will not have any information about them. Safety and security is really essential in maintaining your comfortability in using cryptocurrency.

Maybe that's the reason why whales are hiding their identity so that they will not know that they are holding huge amounts of bitcoin. So that the community will not even know if they are holder or not, if a certain people is using cryptocurrency or not.

Why the whales want to trade as anonymous?
I just want to answer this question because I have a few ideas about this topic. If we come to the answers;

Because who does not want to? Even me I don't want my identity to be published even I'm a small trader, what more for whales? Aside they are protecting their identity for the very purpose of security and safety. If hackers will know who owns a 100 btc, they will run after him searching for all possible backdoors that's why whales are trading anonymously as much as possible. I believe even the exchanges does not know the real identity of some whales out there, whales might just use the identity of his secretary to pass the KYC. Who knows?

Well, let me try as much to be brief with your questions: whales are  Larger organization or individuals who have the financial will power to make huge buy and huge sell. They all sell their portfolios through different cryptocurrency exchanges and their transaction are carryout through the use of KYC. For your information, the whales don't transact their trades anonymously rather they do through the use of KYC to avoid the frozen of their portfolios on the exchange.

I think that the answer is quite obvious.
Whales have a lot of Bitcoins and they don't want that fact to be known in public by their personal data. Of course, KYC is obligatory at exchanges and they provide their personal data but they are not and they shouldn't be disclosed in public to protect the privacy.
There is nothing weird in it, I don't think that any of us would want our privacy and finances to be disclosed in public if we were at their place.

Perhaps, the whales don't want other people to know what they do, and if somehow, many people know what they do, people will ask many things about that. The whales won't answer all of the questions as they will be too busy with what they do so I think that is why the whales want to trade as anonymous. If the whale's trade in crypto, they will figure out how to make the transaction credible, but I don't know how they will do that since I am not the whales. They will have their way without we know, and they will have the resources that can help them anytime.

We will not know how they can finish their transaction as they don't want to reveal it to the public because that will be one of their secrets to keep anonymous.

1.What do you mean by "making the transaction credible"?I don't understand this question.

2.I think that the crypto whales don't use cryptocurrency exchange platforms to trade large amounts of BTC or any other cryptocurrency. The risk of letting a third party service scam them and run away with their Bitcoins is just too big.

3.There are numerous ways to hide your name and identity,if you are really rich.Using offshore companies, for example.

Of course their names are recorded on various platforms, but if it is released on the public there is something wrong with the platform, Like an invasion of privacy unless it is hacked. I don't think whales will finish or cashout their BTC or ETH, It will stay on their wallets and to the exchange and they are sending it back and forth. They are just playing the market and taking advantage of it.

Probably one of the reason could be trying to avoid Taxation. They don't want IRS or any other revenue authority of any Country sniffing around their profits  Grin

Why the whales want to trade as anonymous?

It is because for their safety also, in fact, we all are anonymously doing the same.

Why many people afraid of doing KYC? Because they want to live here anonymously and that is also why they choose to trade in crypto rather than in any other trading form. But unfortunately, this anonymity will be over soon knowing that many exchanges are already requiring to pass KYC for all users, quite that it ends the hides.

Again, no one is trading anonymously in regards of converting from crypto to fiat money, most exchanges need KYC to be able to withdraw large amounts

And please moved this thread to trading discussion.
