I haven't experienced such thing in any gambling shop. But I know for sure that such things do happens. Stick with online or heavily regulated and secured brick and mortar casinos.  With this much money involved and unfortunately people's livelihoods at stake I don't like being around a volatile situation.  For me gambling is used for entertainment.  Anytime i feel like the situation is risky or unsecured I split.  No fun in looking over your shoulder the whole time.

I've never experienced anything like that, however, I don't like visiting places where I know such things can happen. If you go to a casino establishment that is well set up, they have security and everything, and you know the chances of people getting violent after losing are less. You can't feel safe in an environment where you know there is no one to control the situation in case the person gambling against you loses everything to you and then starts a fight with you unnecessarily.

I've never experienced it, but believe the story you tell in this thread, it's actually part of human nature. It doesn't matter whether gambling or something else is the initial trigger, when someone is blinded by one thing or another, especially one that involves loss, other instincts within humans will emerge. if you can't control it, in the end it will be like what you said in this thread. Cases like this don't just happen in gambling. there are many that can trigger the same problem, with different cases. Once i sense violence is trying to take place in gambling, the next thing i do is to exit the place before it turns to what other gamblers are not concerned with, but share in their consequences from such erupted violence, anything can happen and we may not be able to predict such, the best is to vacate the scene immediately, this is mostly common with the physical gambling casino house.

Actually once there's money involved in most things there's always bound to be this form of aggression especially when it's not going as expected because loosing money sometimes can come with emotions and you are definitely not go through that roller coaster of emotions because most definitely it may cause one to become hyper reactive and in some cases they may become violent, when you see that someone is loosing money in the casino or betting shop as you mentioned, you should let them be if you can't be of help to them because at that point even jokes wouldn't really sound funny to them neither will they even entertain one.

Where people do not feel safe most are gambling places that some people just setup without any security. It can even be in an open place. Just like my first post on this thread, in my town, there are places like that and most people that are there are not learned or do not complete schooling up to tertiary level. I can not be in such a place. But in well regulated casinos, it is still better and you are not competing with people but with the house which is the one that is better. But I also will prefer online gambling most because of privacy. But for some people that want some more fun, they prefer land based casinos.

Never have I had such experience in my whole entire life, because it is not safe to gamble with people in bet shops. I have heard of a situation like this that happened, and it almost led to the death of one of the gamblers, which made the bet shop owner to close down his bet shop and relocated to somewhere very far.

It happened that, it was a card game and three gamblers are betting with the intention to win all the money from just one gambler. It is called collaboration gambling is my side, where one gambler would keep on sponsoring the bet of his friend, so that they can have the upper hand of winning the third guys money with ease.

Actually, this strategy do work for some gamblers, but this faithful day it back fired, and the single guy was able to win the funds of those two gambling partners that came together to dry his funds up. This made one of them to spark up and fight busted out, which led a one of the gambler stabbing the other. To cut the whole story short, the guy that was stabbed almost died, which made the guy parents to arrest the bet shop owner or the other two gamblers. Casinos are the best.

What on earth will result in a gambler fighting his fellow gambler when he knows that they are in for a bet to know who plays better than the other?

I call it stupidity when a gambler refuses to accept that he is a loser to his fellow gambler, fighting will then be the only option that comes to their mind. Like fighting will make them have their lost money back.

Well don't be surprised at the many who really takes gambling as a source of income, in my locality where am staying people literally live off the hope that someday it's definitely going to be their turn as the stories of different people winning bets becomes the order of the day . When it comes to violence then you practically can't get enough from different people that take their characters to offline casino and this is because they feel its more cheaper but to me it's all ignorant and lack of knowledge that is order of most of these cases.

It's bound to happen and I will say it could be the norm of some countries, same here in pool games, huge amount of money in the line, and at the end of the day there could be winners. But what make it dangerous is the people around who trash talk that why most of the time it ended in violence. Usually this happens in not so good places, or like in slums (no offense meant), nothing about just good hand to hand fight in the streets. What I'm afraid of if one of those people who bring knives or a gun and when they lose their beat, they started targeting the other side.

Its not about being violent, the root cause of a gambler being violent is because of its mental state and emotion state, you see continous losing in gambling may result to sudden change in a gamblers mental state and emotional, mental stat is that they will think of playing more gambling games and being more corrupted as they want to recover their losses, while in emotion of course this is the start of a gambler can't control their temper and starting feel annoyed more often especially when theh can't play anymore due to insufficient funds or what. That is the best way police officers can allow peace to rain among the gamblers by arresting everybody around the gambling center, so that they will know the one at fault and the ones that are not at fault in the police station, and they will surely bail themselves include the gambling center owner so that they will learn lesson on how to make peace when issues like that break out in the gambling center.

 Assume the fight result to death, do you think the gambling owner will still function in that center? No, he or she will be running because such person has questions to answer and if he or she is not careful with his respond to police investigation and questions, it can lead to life in prison.

if police man ignore the owner of the gambling, it will make the gambler that loss his money in the gambling feel that police are not fair to the matter for not involving the owner.

Watching violence happen in a place where people gamble is not common in my environment but have seen a few times when people lost it and couldn't get over the argument about who won or not. Well without having any realistic experience of such things in a casino, I think when such things happen, I'd leave the environment immediately. I'm sure of times when people's gadgets get lost in the gambling house, and people in there would be threatened about the police coming anytime soon to arrest everyone. Such things are only better settled by leaving the vicinity.

Because when someone loses their money gambling, he'd want to create a fighting scene. Which could result in a disastrous outcome around the environment like the arrival of the cops. I'll never feel happy getting nabbed by the cops in a casino and demanding money for bail. Those feelings are not worth the stress, because as an innocent person who didn't participate in the fight, the pain is worse compared to those who caused the fight. The thing is that people who are desperate to win or gamblers that see gambling as a end means will always get frustrated and lash out their anger on different people when they lose their money in gambling. I am not comfortable entering betting shops especially those that host a live poker game or player vs. player gambling games.  Oftentimes it ends up in a heated argument for some reason like the other party adding salt to the injury by making jokes that are somehow offensive to the other hand, while others just can't accept the fact that they lose their money and seek revenge or easily got irritated by the other party just like the incident you stated.

People have different thresholds and acceptance of losing their funds, which is why I prefer playing online to avoid such incidents.

For a player that has no self-discipline, it is possible that they play until they exhausted their money but for people that has full control and look at gambling engagement as source of income, I believe they are more into moderation and risk calculation, even stopping if they feel that it is not their lucky day.

the fault is their own, why do they gamble without being prepared to lose the money they bet. even though they should already understand that if they gamble it means they will most likely lose money. If they are not ready for this then they will lose even more money by chasing wins in gambling that they cannot definitely get. In this way, they won't mind their losses, meaning they will continue to gamble because they have the desire to win big, but this will just put them in big trouble.

I think even if they win at gambling, it can't make them aware and make them stop gambling, maybe by them getting a win it actually makes them feel even more thirsty for losing, so they can continue gambling because they feel they can win again in the future. and in this way it can make them addicted to gambling and perhaps if they become addicted to gambling like that, there is a possibility that violence will occur against their family or relatives, because the addiction that has made them forget themselves and the gambling they do is too excessive.

I've seen some people get violent when they lose a match with money involve, but in my case it wasn't just the money that trigger them it was also the insult while playing or trash talk.
This is one of the reason why other are scared to gamble on land base casino or to hide their gambling activity, some gamblers doesn't really feel safe after winning a huge amount on land base casino.

Have not had such experience cause I do my own betting online,most times it's advice to stay away from such games spot cause usually it triggers and result's in most violence cases we hear about.

And most times it's greed that cause all these violence during gambling and betting,when your partner is winning and at the other hand your loosing your angry and vexed at that moment,you know most people can't really control their anger in this aspect and that's why it's not advisable to gamble in such open areas cause it might generate to something even much worse than what you experienced.

it was a bad experience that shouldn't have happened. but my question is how could the police arrest everyone including the shop owner? isn't it the man's fault who started a fight with his friend? it seems here that the police are corrupt police, because if it was a police officer who carried out his duties properly, then he would not have arrested everyone there and asked for compensation to let them go.

And not only alcohol necessarily. We should know what really happened, because chances are that someone cheated, or felt cheated, or maybe they already had pending quarrels in advance, etc.

I have never experienced any acts of violence during offline gambling. I believe this was due to fact that casinos I was in always had guards, and if a person starts to behave inappropriate, he will be persistently asked to leave. Ive seen people losing thousands in seconds. It was clearly seen that they were "greatly disappointed", but maximum they did were few curse words.

The maximum level of rudeness I have seen was following. Many years ago, while being abroad on a vacation in Greece, hotel has snooker table with 1 coin = 1 game system. Company of guys have occupied that one single table and were playing for quite a time. When other company came, a guy left a coin on a table side (meaning he is next in queue to play), so those who were already playing, took that coin and put it on a regular table. That triggered a heated talk between two companies on different languages Due to language barrier, their conflict ended with first company plays one game, then they change and other company plays, then the change again. That is the only "violence" I have experienced in gambling.

It hasn't happened to me because I've never gone to a physical casino to make a bet, but I can't imagine violence happening because when people lose, they get angry at you because you've taken all their money with the game, how can they not be annoyed at how a funny bet turns violent because of uncontrollable emotions.

Fighting because of a gamble loss is akin to gamblers that are without a job or any means of been productive financially and have taken gambling as a way out to financial income so when they lose they don't just lose money but also lose hope of where the next money could come for them throughout that day or week. Not really totally happen all the time or doesnt often happen but there are really conditions or situations on which it would really be possibly to happen because there are gamblers who cant really be able to take control of their emotions on which they do really ends up on being that impulsive and might be ending up on having that kind of violence which would really be putting up others safety at risks and this is something that i do really also tend to avoid because usually these things do happen on public places but knowing about these venues or businesses which they do have that security on which it is really that in default then it is really not that shocking

I have indeed seen this on the past, especially at the poker table after one player successfully bluffed the other and they deliberately showed their hand, at that moment the losing player realized they have been deceived by their opponent, they fly into a rage and a fist fight may soon follow.

Which is why when I bluffed my opponents I made sure to never reveal my cards, even when I was offered money by them to do so, as I knew that some of those players were just looking for an excuse to start a fight.

Not to the point of violence. Extreme emotions? I've felt it personally before, and with acquaintances as well. Just gave them a cig and let them smoke one out in the balcony when it happens usually. I feel like it's pretty normal? Gambling is one of those activities where emotions can run pretty high in the span of one or two moments. I have not experienced something like this before but I know for sure that people get angry easily because they lost money to casinos or to their fellow gamblers. Sometimes the vexation can lead to fight but it's not often. You're situation would have been different if you understood the situation of things earlier and left the environment than get involved with the police for what you have no business with.

Yes, this happens quite a lot. This is just like an unregulated gambling. There are no rules other than, we place bets, you lose intake your money. And if you become too emotional about it, I still will not give you back your bet. The police can do nothing to prevent such from happening the next time. The only way is if that facility is shut down. But beyond gambling that is a business place for a person.

Next time there is a fight at a physical bet shop, talk to the owner to ban the gamblers if not some day when someone dies as a result of it, he will have no business to run because didn't prevent these recurrent fights from aggrieved gamblers.

when you look at the past you realize that most people have always taken competitions and games very seriously, even in cases where there is no money involved or the money involved is not big compared to the money they have, still these People will take it very seriously and if they lose they may turn to violence. See, for example, the recent case of Cristiano Ronaldo, who during a game lost his temper and attacked his opponent and made an aggressive gesture towards the referee. he wins a lot of money, obviously he could have remained calm in that situation and not attacked anyone and the game would have continued as normal and he would have been winning a lot of money even with his team losing. So why did he get so angry, even if his team lost, he would still be making a lot of money?

The answer to this question is very simple: no one likes to lose. And that's the point of fighting, losing. here in my neighborhood it has been common for people to play a lot and after a few hours they start fighting among themselves and from what I can hear from my house and that the reason for their fight is related to the game, it seems to me that the loser does not accept the defeat, while the winner laughs at the loser, this causes them to start insulting and despising each other and then start fighting. To this day, I can't understand how, before playing, they laugh amongst themselves, showing that they are friends, but during the game they start fighting amongst themselves. Losing money sucks. Regardless of how much folks on the forum will talk about how it's all fun and for entertainment but are actually sugarcoating it because when they lose money, it's no longer all fun and laughs. That's what happened to the guy at the bet shop. About your other question, I have experienced any such violent outbursts and drama over a bet loss since I conduct majority of my gambling activities at BcGame, stake and a local online gambling outfit in my country.

I've never actually experienced anything like this.  I've seen people get angry but never take it out on anyone else.  Granted I don't go into small casinos very often and haven't in quite some time.  I would assume if you did something like this in one of the large popular casinos in Vegas you might end up in a back room talking to some unfriendly folks wishing instead for the police.  Still, I think the best thing to do when in public and things like this happen is to try and de-escalate the situation and if that isn't possible then remove yourself from it.  That or start recording on your phone and yell out, "World Star!"

This is one of the reasons that I prefer online gambling. But if it is land based, I will prefer to gamble with the casino instead than to be gambling with another person. The casino can not fight with me if I win but someone that lost his money to me may want to fight me. This evening i actually realized that some people see gambling as a means of livelihood, i Was At a game house today watching some Guys play snooker betting  And their games where actually funny And entertaining till one of the Gamblers lost all his money to his fellow Gambler And he became very violent And started a fight with his colleaque that resulted the attention of the Police Force. The Police arrested everyone including the owner of the betting shop And insisted that we will all bail ourselves with money before we can go home freely .

This idea gave me the impression that some people can be very dangerous as a result of lossing money while gambling And i aslo learnt My lessons today . However, i Dont know If you have actually experienced such things At the betting shops And If yes How do you feel or react At the situation? .
