by looking at the daily price and volume changes of all the 1800 different altcoins. that way i find the "coin of the day" for trading purposes and if i can notice a pump or pumping signals in any of them then i jump on board that day's GEM and make my profit for that day and get off the pumping rocket fast with my profit intact.

There are already obvious good projects but they are not all good for investment, I choose among them by looking at team and community.

Hidden gems only depends on that person who sees the value in it because no one really knows if it is going to explode in the market. It could have a great potential but the marketing sucks or the devs of the coin are not doing so much progress. No project is perfect and the only thing you need to do is to trust them.

There is no person, no a site that can tell you the hidden gems, I even don't look at such sites because they promote certain coins for money. You should research a lot to find hidden gems in the market.

Firstly always consider you are an expert of your own decision and you will take it by yourself by finding and reading all the required information. Only thing if you have doubts and confusion you can query to the responsible team and get advice or ask here but finally it should be your call to get the right things.

Based on what I experience is that to find the hidden gem is to find ICO with their own MVP like token exchange. I choose them because the product have demo wherein you can test the actual product while on beta. Most of the token exchange also have secured KYC that is why I choose them.

It's funny.. A lot of times hidden gems are right in front of your face. To most, they become gems when they gain value.. If the project looks good, trust your own opinion & buy it, even if others aren't. If you end up missing on your picks, then continue to evaluate, how you evaluate projects. And it'll work out.
But riding on the coat tails of others, it's unreliable & you're not learning anything.

I find crypto gems on ICO stage and invest in best ICOs but it's hard to find the real gem!
First I research all ICOs on icodrops in upcoming and sandbox section: idea, team, roadmap, advisors, funds and finally White Paper. All expored ICOs i grade in spreasheet and choose the best ones to invest.

How do you find hidden GEMS?

Gems are never really hidden that well. Problem is only that you need to weed out all the garbage that is spamming your view. Once you achieve that you will easily found lots good projects to throw your wealth in.

You have to make your own researches about new projects, I have made many new project reviews and find a new project that Spl.yt is a blockchain-powered global inventory platform that advances the ecommerce industry towards a more inexpensive and secure online commerce experience for all participants.Spl.yt’s core function begins when a marketplace implements its easy-to-use SDK to load its inventory onto the blockchain. Spl.yt’s smart contract core automatically populates and synchronizes this inventory across all other participating marketplaces. Spl.yt token economics are designed to incentivize users to transact fairly and provide for a more secure ecommerce experience. Marketplaces connected to Spl.yt can benefit from higher operating efficiencies, such as automated affiliate-marketing rewards, a global reputation system that cannot be manipulated by a central entity, fractional item sale with decentralized management, and lower-cost dispute resolution. Spl.yt’s system of affiliate rewards is intended to incentivize sellers, marketplaces, and influencers to participate in this interconnected market ecosystem. Further, this assures buyers who use Spl.yt-powered marketplaces that they do not need to browse multiple websites to find the best prices and products. Finally, Spl.yt’s decentralized global reputation system provides peace of mind that reviews and ratings (necessary for buyers to trust sellers) are performed without censorship or manipulation.

If anybody say's here that finding hidden gem is easy is lying. I think finding hidden gems is just base on your luck. I have seen very very good projects that still fail and a trash coin that succeed. For me its just luck, if you happen to get a hidden gem your just probably lucky as that's how hard to get a piece of that hidden gems.

Its really hard to find them because at this moment like 99% of current altcoins are shitcoins made buy few individuals for purpose of stealling money from unsuspected traders, most of this coins will die in a year or two.Best advice i can give you is to use common sense-if it sounds to good to be true then its a scam probably

This is a very energy-consuming activity. You first need to evaluate the project in appearance, then you need to study its white paper (absolutely everything) and at the very last moment to study the project team. Only after all these steps can you find a good ICO.

To find hidden gem, it require research, most people are what to be spoon fed, a gem IMO is a project that I believe is good but currently it is under value, you need to look at the price of the ICO and compare it to the current market price, this will show how undervalue the token is, check from 200 below on CMC and you will find many undervalued projects there

Hidden gems can be found when you search for (very) low market cap coins that have potential to rocket to the sky when they deliver good stuff, follow their roadmaps once you have checked if the goal to achieve is realistic and that the team has experience or are ranked good, once you have done that search what others are saying about the project, for example here on btt or reddit or twitter or even youtube, im sure there are alot of very underastimated projects in the market which have real potential.

It's pretty difficult to find those hidden gems, I missed a lot of them not knowing their potential and the product, tbh some of them just pops out of nowhere and you will be astounded to the fact that you've come across to that ICO but chooses not to bother because they sounded familiar or they have a similar competitor.

I usually look at the new projects and sandbox section on ICODROPS.

It's quite a reliable one, then I look at various VCs and Backers of the projects, ones like Kenetic, NEO Economy and Pantera are very good.

Then I look at the token metrics to finally make my decision.

First of all, don't trust anyone) Have your own opinion. You can check Icodrops.com they have a lot of ICO in history with the results. It was quite useful for me to read about ended ICO's and their results. And new ICo's with very high interest ratings gives at least x2-3 usually.

IMO, hidden gems are a less valued coin in the market, so to look for it you have to do research on coins that have low market capitalization
coinmarketcap is the best place to look for coins that have low market capitalization

what makes you sure that you are now having a good coin?
(i know the basic thinks,... like diversification, moneymanagement and so on)
I have researched projects of all my coins and I monitor their progress, they have good concepts, work products and make progress as planned in whitepapers and roadmaps, that's what makes me optimistic with the coins that I hold

This is not an easy job at least we can deduce from what we read, do research, and draw conclusions. Personally, I would rather see how the project works. And I still remember that, for example Cardano has ever reached a $1 in January 2018, then ADA will repeat the price when the market in good condition.

go to Etherdelta and idex look for newly listed ico on those exchange mentioned, that's where majority of the ico get listed before hitting a big exchange and before getting listed on Coinmarketcap as well  do research about the coin listed

I look for small market cap coins with active developers.  Go to the various exchanges and start looking at some of the low volume/price coins and research from there.  Some coins are new and some are old, but only a few are worth it.  Also, people post stuff on Twitter sometimes, but the best thing you can do is go hunting yourself.

it's not easy to determine hidden GEMS. With my opinion, I usually check CMC for circulating supply, total supply and products, team, did the team follow roadmap, and how their community growth.
Then try to buy a dip or take time to buy and sell in order to increase quantity of coin and hodl. But you need a little luck to find its really hidden GEMS or just hype.

Find hidden gems is more luck than active search because  few people, mostly insiders will know if any coin is a hidden gem. Other well-known coins and hyped ICOs are easier to find by following top crypto names and doing research on these forums.

I think it's impossible to do a focused search for gems, because it will be way too risky. I just search for good ICOs and eventually bump in extraordinary ones...but that's rare.

to be honest I personally prefer coins that have their own blockchain, specifically its smart contract platfrom and also tokens owned by the exchange. my reason is very simple, because they have a real product, always used or needed and continue to grow.

The basics of looking for a profitable crypto coin is understanding the factors that affect its value as well as its status in the digital market. Moreover, you must give a look at its past plus present performance and then understand the predictions of its future value. That time is now gone when coins were a mystery and people had to recognize hide gems. Now, everything is crystal clear and everyone knows the potential crypto assets.
Not only just into that factor but also findingg gems becomes too difficult because of the numbers of coins in the market as of now where we cant easily able to point out which one and we do have high chance on skipping coins which supposed to studied on because of the numbers and this is why success rate on finding gem coins is less. Basing out between its past and present developments would really be a good basis where you can able to make your own presumptions and predictions.

It is a process where you analyse the coin for different market factors like; the development of product is satsfactory, team is delievering according to the roadmap, marketcap of the coin the lower the better, experienced team with solid background, real uses cases of the product for the masses etc.

Finding gems wont really be easy and based on my experience i do only get success rate on lower chances. Inspite on having an enough gained experience i see things or projects which do really have potential which you can really say that this is a hidden gem but it turns out they do failed out due to developers intention to update their project and also there are situations that when you see project which turns out to be a trash but suddenly it pumps out and being bought by the community.Well that sucks.

Back to topic,

Finding gems would always matter on how good the project is and the experience and sincerity of developers into its project.

Research the project, team, marketcap, current price, and future potential. I will give you three low marketcap gems right now with great projects. Elixir, Hydrogen, and Deeponion. If you want one that could rival Ethereum one day look into Ardor. Get in on any of these before they go up. Basically no way to lose because they are real project with great communities and not just shit coins out for a quick buck.
