How does it feel when you get merit for the first time?
Just take it as a pat in the back. How does it feel to get a pat in the back with some people in the forum?
It's just like that, OP.

I would not have expressed it better.

Last week, two people in my new job told me: 1) hey! you're doing a great job, seriously: you have the personality needed for it; and 2) we're very happy with you: would you like to work for us in the 7th floor when your contract finishes?

I am aware that I can do a great job, but being told is a very nice feeling. Merits here are like that. Who doesn't like a pat in the back from time to time?

How does it feel when you get merit for the first time?

I remember feeling proud as soon as I joined this community, since I received my first merit the next day. This proved to me that the community is welcoming to newcomers.

is there someone willing to review the my post history?

I just did. I think you're on the right track. Just be patient and continue to participate positively in discussions and help other members where you can. Your merit will come.

Getting merit gives joy, especially as a new member who have been writing series of post and never received merit . If eventually a good post of the person is merited, there is this great feelings the person have when this first merit is received.

If you are interested in earning merits then good way to learn is read posts by browsing the forum and see which posts are getting merits. This will help you figuring out how to get merits

@COOLCRYPTOVATOR gave you some very good advice, I wish you could follow it instead of focusing on getting merit.

What can I be proud of kelonmusk is just a beginner with no merit  Cry
Just concentrate on contribution to the forum rather than posting about merit. Read more and gain more knowledge, so you can contribute and distribute that knowledge among forum users.

Just make valuable posts and help members. The good thing about engaging in constructive discussions is that you get to learn a lot. Merit will just come as a bonus

That's okay. We all started as a newbie.
One thing I could suggest that you can add up to that one is share a "real experience", like why don't you recommend gambling. What specific experience did you get from gambling that made you say that you can't recommend gambling as a method of earning profit in crypto?

I remember the first day when the merit system was implemented.

Unfortunately, lots of newbies (until now) complain of this system since this became a barrier for most people who wanted to rank-up. Personally, it was definitely a struggle to get my first merit. I used to comment constructive posts in megathreads and complain on why I do not receive any merit. Until I discovered that you should definitely reply something that is short, concise, but straight to the point.

Getting your first merit is like experiencing your first achievement. It boosts your confidence and it also motivates you to do better.

Quite the longest reply I have seen just directly above me @Kelonmusk you really do not have to reply like this it's making the whole thread look eye aching, also you don't have to reply extensively on every reply you go from you post, you can just take to note and gain knowledge from, also when reply one particular person you can find a way to just quote the person one and drop what every you want to write, this also save the forum the extra length to just your post. And when you get merited it can only naturally feel good,  and also you could also feel pride as the merit can come as a good remarks for your work.

I checked your post history and you are a good learner as far as I have noticed from all your 5 posts but it isn't enough to convince because you have points with flaws, when you are talking about the advantage of cryptocurrencies you mentioned gambling is a way to make money in gambling yes you can but it is not an investment idea and also you forget about the real reason for existence of bitcoin and cryptos which is decentralization (which I believe) not how much we will get as returns in a month or year.
glad to hear that you are the first to review my post history.
As for gambling: personally this is only based on my knowledge and experience so far when making choices on several online gambling sites. both crypto and non-crypto.
but more often Loss than vice versa.
addiction is one of the reasons why I still love this activity.
ps- not with big capital.

BTC : I tested a BTC investment with a small capital of $100. Basically this is my first try after I was curious what it would be like to own it even though I couldn't feel the fluctuation because the investment was small. Yes and it's also not too bad even though I'm at a loss if you calculate it with the current BTC price.
I don't see it as a serious problem. panic sell is not my final decision about BTC, hold on for long term, even sometimes add more BTC when I have capital.

You're doing okay, but you might need to spread your posts a little more to other boards. For your thread about advantages in the cryptocurrency industry, you might need to provide more input than that as that is a common knowledge already.
since the thread was created, just wanted to share my experience on cryptoqurrency of 3 options list:
1. trade
2. investment
3. gambling

Yes soon to add another input on a different board.
I honestly didn't know that option was common knowledge on this forum. Sometimes without me realizing that the information has been discussed many times in this forum.

First merit is sweet and I understand this feeling because I felt it by myself.
I'm also curious about how it feels when I'm get a merit.
maybe it will be more fun if you are willing to give me a +1 as the start of my journey here Smiley

I think first 100 merit will be hardest and after that you will be more familiar about forum rules, boards, become more knowledgeable about forum, Bitcoin and crypto. After that you can earn more merit faster.
100 merit? full member? it was a very long journey. if start from 0 - beginner.
but I see a lot of people reach that rank in no time.

Guess like this is some kind of advice for you but look for post that have merit in it and learn why they get it, all are random but you'll get the hook on it.
I saw a lot of people reach high rank in no time. it is also a form of motivation for me. thanks for your good advice.

Actually didn't feel some excitement during my first merit received since I am not aware of the benefit it would give me.
does it include your trip from 0 ?

But later on when I am receiving a lot of it, then there I already appreciated the purpose of merit by means of appreciation. Sharing stuff and helping others on things they don't know is somehow feels great. So you should feel bless when you received merits.
I see your current account is Legendary. It's an honor, if your achievement now starts from a newbie.
it's a very difficult process, it takes a long time.

you can try posting on one of the member's merit giveaways.

here's a list I found from another thread. I suggest checking it out.

Thank you for your advice.
But one thing I want to ask: Are there any special rules when sending a small number of posts, including these 7 messages.

How does it feel when you get merit for the first time?
not sure if everyone feels the same but it feels good to know that someone thinks your post is worthy enough to get merit. sometimes I feel confused since I feel like some of my posts that got merited is not merit-worthy but It still gets merited.

Getting merit as a newbie? Feels nostalgic, way back I was Jr. Member but with the merit implementation I get a newbie rank but didn't stop me from wanting it or even getting one and wanting a certain rank and that drives me to even learn more. Guess like this is some kind of advice for you but look for post that have merit in it and learn why they get it, all are random but you'll get the hook on it.

First merit is sweet and I understand this feeling because I felt it by myself.

However, if you love this forum you will earn more merit if you are good poster and if your first merit is from your post quality, not from a funny post or generously airdrop from a random member.

I think first 100 merit will be hardest and after that you will be more familiar about forum rules, boards, become more knowledgeable about forum, Bitcoin and crypto. After that you can earn more merit faster.

Still a long way to go buddy and you will feel the taste of the merits soon, try to be more active and participate into the discussions.

Learning is the key.
