Some persons take up jobs because of the money, they do it but they lack personal fulfillment and they end up being miserable. However, when you make your talent your profession, you might not be rich but you will be happy doing what you love. Having said that, the job loss could be the push you need to usher you to your next level. I've heard of some persons after a job loss, they decided to pursue their dreams and later became very successful. I also understand the pressure that comes with joblessness, especially now that you've more responsibilities.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?
How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?
If you've a skill you're interested, then you should be able to locate people who have same skill in your environment that are ahead of you. Reach out to them for advice, guidance and also do some networking.

Your thoughts are welcomed!

I think I've been through this kind of situation, I needed to earn income in student life and then I knock almost everyone of my classmates who are freelancing. By knocking like this, I found a friend who works on this bitcointalk forum or related to cryptocurrency. Then give time with him and discuss in detail. Later one day I went to his house and I got a rough knowledge about what system can be worked or how it is possible to earn later.
The reason for telling the above story is that earning on the go is never suddenly possible unless one has good skills. I had the above story happen to me three to four years ago. So if you don't have the right skills, no matter how good the community you join, earning will not be possible. But to take good guidelines will choose those who are effective and successful in their work. Of course don't choose communities that don't keep up with current standards, or don't update themselves.

It is not that easy, while there are many countries in which the job market is very dynamic and you can find a similar job in a very short amount of time, there are many countries in which this is not true and you may need several months in order to find a new job.

So during that time you will have to survive with whatever savings that you got, and this can really put you on the spot as there are not many people that can get by for so long with just their savings, a circumstance that could cause those people to ask for loans, making their situation even more precarious than what it is already.

Finding jobs is not an easy task because of overpopulation and limited seats therefore focus on saving some amount and initiate a business because in business you will not work under your boss and will work without fear of dismissing from your job.

In amount of saving a person will survive only for month or two so after that life will become difficult for him therefore don't keep quite if you Loss a single job because if you have skills you can create different ideas for getting income.

Your story confused me but that is not withstanding. Losing of a job has nothing to do with joining a community or forum to fullfil your dreams. Is it because of this forum you are bringing this topic? Well let's face the live situation in this case. When you lose a job, it would be painful because at that time you are jobless and probably you are the bread winner in the family and you have the family responsibilities in your head. I don't at that moment you will be mindful to look for a good community to join but it is better you look for another job to do either minor or average to feed yourself and others first before you think of looking for a community to job.

Joining a community to full your dreams is wrong habitation. Meaning your are going there because of money and mind you bitcointalk is to invest and that is the main purpose of it.

If along the line you suddenly loss your job for one reason or the other and now you have to rely on whatever wits and skills you have to survive with a family, instead of trying to look for another job and be doomed to misery, supposing you have some skill of sort that has been hidden and waiting to be explored, how do you hone such a skill, so much so that you earn from it?

This is where playing with your strengths comes into play.

If you have a certain hobby/skill that you are confident with, then exercise that opportunity in order to have an advantage compared to others.

For example, if a person lost their current job but they are good with cooking, perhaps they can start a small cookery on their garage and establish a mini-joint restaurant. Another example, if a person is well-versed with playing instruments, perhaps they can attend different gigs to play music on the street and at least receive some small compensation along the way.

Actually most of the time you do not know which community or persons to follow especially if you are on your own.

In simple terms, it is a leap of faith that you exercise as you will definitely learn and discover along the way. There is this famous quote that says that luck is when opportunity meets preparation, meaning that you prepare for such opportunity to happen by practicing it over and over again.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?
This really depend on what skills you have. You need to be in the right community based on your skills - the internet can help you find these communities easily.

Simply put - there is a process and hard work that you have to do to find your own passion so that your dreams can be achieved. If you are someone who is an expert in the field of content processing - you can find an easy job to become a content creator, as well as others. After all - you don't need a community in the beginning, but what you do need are good skills and developing them.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

Why do you need to find a community that will help you while you can look directly for a job that suitable your skills. There’s a lot of job available on job site or you can go overseas to find a much better job. As long as you have skills, you don’t need to worry about losing your job because there’s always a better opportunity from different companies.

Don’t make yourself limited to your current/previous job.

Following someone or community is not my type, you should do it yourself relying to someone because it’s your life. You should be the one creating your path to success and not by following someone because we have different career path in life.
We all definitely have different career paths and while I agree on not following anyone, I must say that when one is still kinda new in an environment and sure as hell don't speak the local dialect fluently, it might become more of an issue of trying to adapt and reorganize having lost a job and getting familiar with the current territory, rather than spend much time job hunting without a say in the environment.

For directions on how to source for information most times, one may simply get stuck because of not knowing how to go about asking the right persons the right questions.
This is why many have grown accustomed to doing remote work, because once one can lock onto passions and dreams that require one going outside and grow their network of like minded persons after a job loss, and hope to find and establish the right connections that will help them succeed in the path they have chosen to go, career wise, questions like this have to be asked to be the guiding star to making and being the right connection along the right path.

Being fired from your job is not as unfortunate as you think, see it as an opportunity given to you. You need to plan your financial situation and consider the skills you can use in the near future. It's a good idea to make sure your CV is up to date, network with others and not passively wait for vacancies to appear. Not only is it important to secure a new job for yourself, but I find it also applies very well to people who already have a stable job but are still looking for another side job.

You also need to have a positive mindset along with healthy habits when looking for a new job, I find that reflects the employer's attitude towards employees. No boss wants to hire an employee who has a stubborn attitude at work, right?

Before everything happens, it would be better if we had prepared everything. However, the problem is that sometimes we are too comfortable with what we are doing, when we work we don't think about something that might happen in the future, such as losing our job because of something we didn't think about beforehand. So therefore, when we work we have prepared a scenario where we will lose our job, if we have thought about that then we will not be confused when we lose our job because we have prepared everything.
We must have thoughts for the future in any case, because we cannot always be in a good situation. Sometimes things we don't want come suddenly and we never know when it will happen.

For me it's as simple. You should first go look for that which you love most or the skill which you have that you think can earn you a living then go for it. There are a lot of online communities that one could join just like this forum where you will find people like you that has same skill and perhaps via regular communication one can get contacts that might be of help to you getting a better version of yourself.

After from online communities you can decide to join people who have the same perspective as you or let's us my skill for example; I'm a graphic designer and a photographer if I lose my imaginary job right now, what I will do is go back to people who are into photography (community) then begin to seek to offer a service of assistance in my field of work and perhaps from this kind of mind set one can get his or her dream by just following role models who have what you want.

Yeah that's the right approach I completely agree with you but the point here is that no one is explaining how we should get the fear out of our mind that this particular skill that we love will not give me enough money to live a good and successful life.

In my opinion many people fail to go for their dream job because they fear to be jobless at the end because most of the skills that people love don't have that much market demand. There should be a proper counselling course of a good teacher to teach someone from his past life experience so that one can surpass that barrier in his mind.Only then he will be able to pursue the job that he would love to do.

After experiencing a job loss, it can be a stressful and uncertain time. However, it can also be an opportunity to reassess one's goals and passions, and potentially pursue a dream career or path that has been lingering in the back of their mind.

To hone a hidden skill and turn it into a profitable venture, it's important to first identify what that skill is and how it can be monetized. This might involve taking courses, seeking mentorship, or gaining practical
In terms of finding the right community to support and guide you in achieving your dream, it's important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who share your passions and goals. This can involve attending networking events, joining online communities or forums, and seeking out mentors who have experience in your desired field.

It's also important to be discerning in choosing the right people to follow and community to join. Look for individuals who have achieved success in a similar area and who share your values and vision. Avoid those who may lead you astray or discourage you from pursuing your dreams. Following your passions and honing your skills in a supportive community can lead to fulfilling work and a sense of purpose in your life. It may take time and effort, but with dedication and perseverance, you can turn your dreams into a reality.

Your thoughts are welcomed!

Will your community change when you lose your job? Of course not, it means your community is the same when you work and after losing your job and before you lose your job you can assess whether your community is a community that can have a good influence or not, for example, you think people who have dream will probably leave their jobs because want to pursue their dreams, and of course there will be communication and discussion with your community when you decide to quit from the job because you want to discourage your dreams and those who can provide constructive advice and provide good motivation are the ones who must be maintained, especially when they can support your dreams, for example using your service or buy the product you sell if its a part of your dream.

Actually you dont need one because you could actually make actions to your own or oneself in regarding to this without having those kind of community feedbacks or approach or joining up some groups.
If you have lost your job then dont seek out for some sympathy into other people or looking for a community. You can do it on your own because other people cant help you out on finding another job
or would really be showing up some concern on what happen into you. Into this world then this one would really be survival of the fittest on which if you are someone whose really that
relying too much on what other people would be saying then you wont really be that progressive as much as possible.

As an individual then you would really be that needing to find another job as soon as possible specially if you are someone who does have a family to raise on which
it would be that a common approach for you to have.

losing your job sucks. Sometimes getting the wind knocked out of you is exactly what you need to really start breathing. This is your chance. Not some cliché, but a real, honest-to-god chance to rethink everything. Forget about finding "the right community" for a minute. Look inside. What are you actually good at? What gets you fired up, even when you feel like you're running on empty? Those are your guideposts

Now, the internet; that's your hunting ground. Reddit, LinkedIn, niche forums, wherever your people might be. Search like you're starving; because in a way, you are. You're not searching for a lifeline, you're searching for fuel. The right community isn't just a place to whine, it's a place to grind. Look for the people who inspire you, the ones putting in the work. Talk less, listen more. Learn. Soak it all in. These people, they'll show you what potential really looks like, and that fire will ignite your own. You'll see

Having a positive mindset will lead you to the right path, I agree with what you've said, sometimes we don't need to take things happened to us negatively, sometimes we are taken out of that situation because we are not really meant for it, we always think that when something is lost, there is something better to replace it. That has been my life mantra since then, to reduce my being a negative thinker, but sometimes we can't avoid not thinking negative things, it's healthy if we allow ourselves to be pessimists sometimes but don't let's get used to it. So instead of  thinking about the things that can happen in our future, let's act first and do the right thing because for sure a better opportunity is waiting for you, the one you really want to do and the one that help you to grow as a person.
By having a positive mindset of course this will help us to keep trying to be better than before, because if we always think negatively of course we will not be able to develop and will only regret what we have gone through and we will be lazy in correcting the mistakes we have made and I really agree with what you said, when something is lost from us of course there will be a replacement that is better than before but we must be able to have positive thoughts so that we can try again to repair the failures we have experienced, but if we have negative thoughts of course we will look for ways to justify what we are doing without realizing that what we did was a mistake and not thinking about how to fix it of course this will make it very difficult for us to change to be better. better than before.

From my perspective, you have to hit the ground running immediately. No time for time wasting. If you lost a previous job it means you have experience, so use that experience. Update your CV and cover letter and start applying for more jobs that you fit the role. See yourself as worthy of those high-paying roles if you have the qualifications and experience, don't see yourself as small. Believe in yourself that you deserve the best.

You mentioned that you have a skill. A skill you've not used over the years. What to do is brush up on those skills. I don't care what skill it, is or how good you were at that skill, if you haven't practiced you must be rusty. So start practicing that skill again, start learning again, till when you feel you're better and ready to take jobs from clients. If it's a digital skill you can register on sites like Upwork, freelancer, and Fiverr. The downside is, on these sites you need to have a good portfolio before you can stand a higher chance of getting clients. So I'd advise you to take normal jobs, but at lower rates, and if possible, do free jobs for friends and family just to build your portfolio. You can include jobs like that as your past work.
Then make use of social media. Create digital fliers and advertise on social media sites. You can also use social media advertising like Facebook and YouTube ads. Create awareness about your skills.
Mind you, you have to keep searching for jobs and applying while also marketing your skills. There are different sites to look for jobs like Indeed and LinkedIn where you also get email notification of jobs that fit your job description. So create accounts on these and include your CV. Make it look professional. If you can't create a top-notch CV, get a professional to do it for you. In fact, I won't advise you to do your CV yourself because there are tests that CVs go through and a lot of CV fail the test.

I'm not saying doing these will guarantee you a job, but a perfect CV and cover letter, applying for jobs, and marketing your skills online and offline increase your chances of getting a job.

Now along the way in your job search journey, you begin to meet people and platforms of people just like you or who were like you. Learn from them. There's always something to learn.
Also, you can use the opportunity to pick up another skill, if this is possible. It could be a skill that will increase your chances of getting hired, I mean a skill that compliments what you have on your CV, a skill that makes you stand out. It could also be a different skill altogether. Maybe you picked an interest in it along the way. It wouldn't hurt to start learning it but have a long-term plan. Take it one day at a time, but have a team plan for that skill. What do you want to do with the skill? How does it benefit you? What's the market for that skill like? Do you have the resources to start that skill after learning? Questions like these and more should be answered.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?
Honestly, I'm currently experiencing this scenario, I already submitted my resignation letter on my current job, my first job, the reason is that the work environment is toxic and the commuting is hard for me, even thou I learn a lot in my first job but still I don't see myself being successful or able to achieve my dreams and goal if I will going to stay in my current company, that's why I decided to resign, but of course with a plan before resigning I already found different and good opportunity from different companies and I know If I will accept one of those companies I will be one step closer to my goal.

How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?
Well because I know myself very well, so I know where I will prosper and will become even more skilful and talented worker, but of course I don't intent to stay a worker for my whole life, my goal is to have my own business so I can focus on relaxing in life, that is the path I choose that's why I know what is right and wrong to my decisions.

Between work and dreams are 2 things that both want to pursue and want to get more money. Indeed, the most delicious is a hobby that is paid, maybe it can be called free lance. in terms of time and income, of course, how to perform marketing and branding functions. In contrast to working for someone else, time and money are portioned by the company.

If a job that has been occupied and can help many people, of course people will provide services to that person, I think there are many opportunities as long as the skill is rarely people who have it, or are outside the area.

If the opportunity in the company is still feasible before entering retirement, it is best to maintain reputation and achievement, as for skills for me it is additional and in between days off / after work, so it is not a mental burden.
=======================
If you just start a business after quitting your job, it's not right, although almost everyone is like that in an emergency, at least you have to wisely manage your existing money and don't gamble in choosing a skill. Find passion, because the sophistication of technology makes everyone can make money even with internet access. spirit.

As many people have mentioned that the first thing we do after losing a job is to look at our savings.
If someone's job is lost, especially a person who is already carrying his family, then he cannot do anything of his own will and choice, he has to act on the basis that he has no job to live. And how much money is left to support his family, then his direction is determined as to what he will do next.

My personal advice to those who are job seekers is they should save for the future as long as they have a job because a job is not something you can live off of for a long time. A job is not like owning a business, in a job you are under someone else and it depends on him/her to take the time off from the job, so those who are employed, first you must think for your future.

OP are you implying that after a job loss that's when one start chasing there dreams or realise there hidden potential?
Nevertheless, you only join community that have similar interests and goal as yours, with positive members that will enable you develop and leverage more on your skill set to achieve your aim. The community should have proven results not a  community made up of under- performers.

If one truly have a dream he/she would put in efforts to achieve it and won't work or go contrary to it, so for me OP that's not a disappointment but rather a blessing and a chance given to you to build, commit and engage and take action  towards fulfilling  those dreams to make  it reality.
In essence the proper network is needed.

You're seeking for some comfort and that's why you have to join communities that are also jobseekers and/or those that have lost their jobs too for different reasons.

As you try to recover from that unexpected situation that has happened to you. It is important that you go along with people that share the same vibes as you so that you can move on.

After that, you need to fight over that feeling of sadness that you've felt because the world won't stop for us. You've got some backs with that community that has the same sentiment or hobby or anything that validates your feeling that will cheer you up.

For those of us who have a dream or have a pulling towards a certain area of our life, it may be that's why it's been difficult to keep a job because you just can't shake off the thoughts of fulfilling that dream.

It may be a strange post, but if one has to make wealth and be of value in this life he /she has to be able to love their work so much so that it seems they don't work at all and that's because such persons do what they love or do what they understand best.

With such disappointment as a job loss and in an economic situation like the one we are faced with in our country, and living in a new environment where it's easier to meet the wrong categories of person,

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?

Your thoughts are welcomed!

Upgrading to get a better skill is what we should go after not looking for a community that would help us with how we could join a community that could offer us a job. If we intend to join a platform or community that would offer us a job the we should look for a community related to our job specifically because is very important for us to make money from the market. There are also platform you can go to search for a job if that is what you are interested in, there are also some job specifications that might not suit the skill that we have in hands so it's very important we look for a better place or upgrade your skill so that you can a job asap.

Honestly, you wont really be needing a community just because you do really just like on having some sympathy or having that kind of emotional boost up because you have lost your day job. Well, there are really people who are really that emotional when it comes to aspects but i would tell you that this would really be just that hindering you on doing things on what you must do. You wont really be needing someone because you are the only ones who would really be making out such decision for you to be able to do the things that you do have in mind. Somewhat it would really be that so damn hard for you to make a move or actions if you do know that you are really that needing that money immediately.
Yes, you have some skills but we know that getting hired or getting some project or whatever it would be will really be a challenged considering that competition is high then its likely that too hard on getting your first projects.

Somewhat it is really that mixed up with some luck if we do speak about career changed or something that you would pursue just because you are aiming for bigger goals and targets but there are really situations in life
on which it would really be something that could stop you along the way. So it would really be just that a matter of someones decision and perseverance in the end of the day.
Not all people would be that emotionally and mentally tough when it comes to various situations.

You usually find what you like doing in life and do it, become good at it and in time it's going to work out.

There was a time when I became unemployed and we used to do a lot of different things with my friends, like trading stuff. I remember buying stock from computer stores that were going bankrupt, photographing all the items and selling them online one by one. It was enough to keep me afloat for months. I started looking for online forums, ways to earn some money in my spare time. Most of them weren't paying a lot but you could make $10 here and there which over the course of a month was enough to pay bills and buy food.

I also found this forum and started putting some money on the side to invest in bitcoin and that also helped me a lot in 2017 when bitcoin went up.

I was patient and it all changed because I begun to write in signature campaigns, found a stable job, gained a few hundred percent on my bitcoin investment and all because I did not give up when I faced problems, but kept going.

In 2015 I was broke and in 2017 I had so much money and jobs piling up I didn't know what to do first and couldn't even spend the money that I was making.

First thing after you lose your job while you are having financial needs is to look out for the job openings and take whatever job is available even if it's paying less than what you made, harder that what you do, etc because the employment is very difficult so whatever opportunity comes be ready to take it. I don't really think that chasing dream after losing job is right way, it should be done while you are making money from a job.

It's easy for some to figure out their skills and interests but you know what is hard? That is, getting a job because the competition for it is high, while if it's only about joining a community such as this forum, then yeah, that was only easy.

Anyone can sign up here freely and can learn here even if they don't really have an interest in cryptos but they are only interested on the earning part, like what most of us started and look where we at now. We can say that we are now a pro cryptoer. On the imaginary job you are saying there, you can't lose what you still don't have for real but if you want it badly or for real, there is always a way to get it and you will try your best to not lose it, once you already have it.

Following your dreams is not an easy thing to do, it's even more difficult if you have a family to feed. So when you lose your job and want to pursue your dream career, the first thing you need to do is recheck your current financial status and see where you stand. If you have enough savings that help you survive, with the family, for at least a year, and if you are sure that if you get into that path, you will at least be able to reach somewhere, then I would say go for it.

However, if you have no savings at all and you have only been covering all the expenses with your salary, you will need to find a source of income first before you get into anything because that's essential, no one will help you take care of your family by providing financial aid for a year or so because if you get into something new, you will need time to learn everything to the extent where you can make a career out of it, you see, passion and career are different things. You might have a passion for something but whether or not you can make a career out of it is a different thing.

So, once you have evaluated this thing and have made your decision, your next action will be based on that.

If you have savings and want to pursue your dream career, start doing research and finding methodologies that you can utilize to make things work in your favor.

If you don't have any savings, you should look for a source of income first, be it a job or anything that can help you run the kitchen because you can't make your family survive for what you want to achieve.
This must be a good piece of advice, you sound like you have some experience in this.
It is a harsh reality that it is very difficult to fulfil dreams with a family, especially when you are unemployed. In this era of inflation, no matter how much one helps, a whole family cannot be fed. If you have to choose between working and providing for the family or chasing your dream, you will be compelled to choose the first because it's more important and it's your responsibility.

Another major problem in today's era is unemployment, well-educated and skilled people are not getting quality jobs. This is the reason that when an educated person gets even a menial job, he is afraid to leave it and even think about it.

Therefore, I would say the first effort should be to establish yourself first and then start a family life to avoid all these difficulties.

For those of us who have a dream or have a pulling towards a certain area of our life, it may be that's why it's been difficult to keep a job because you just can't shake off the thoughts of fulfilling that dream.

Depending on if you have emergency savings or money that you've stored up to account for the job loss, you can explore options for as long as possible, but the rule of thumb is that, you should always ask your closest connections for job opportunities within their companies or whatever. I myself manned up and asked my friends despite the possible gossip it may entail when I lost my job, I wanted to show them that I am eager to get this opportunity. And when that worked out for a while, not only did it allow me to achieve what I wanted in the first place, which is employment, but the familiar face allowed me to focus more on the job and easily adjust to the environment.

You also must take advantage of LinkedIn and Reddit, as these two sites have been very vital in my job search quite recently. It allowed me to get in with people who have contacts from high places which allowed me to secure interviews and eventually, a handsomely-paying job in one of the most successful agencies in my country.

Choosing the right community starts with finding the right platform, you can't find communities of successful job-hunters in sites that don't nurture such communities, so do your research, invest time and energy in finding these communities and platforms, and you're sure to find a job sooner or later.

You know being informed is a really good way to stay ahead of some people, the reason why some  people are still struggling right now is because they are don’t have some knowledge that will help them elevate their financial status. What kills the shine of most people is lack of knowledge you will see in some cases where people after learning something from a colleague they tend to do betters. This is why networking is also essential in the betterment of an individual. Because without those network or  those colleagues that are willing to put you on anything, without them one cannot attest to that height. Unless you are a seeker of knowledge and you know your way about getting first hand information then you’re good. Even with that we still need each other to grow no man is an Island we need each other to scratch off each other back from time to time.
That having said, we just need to keep the right circle if we have to elevate. They have to be growth in your circle if they isn’t then you need to re-evaluate your circle. Knowledge is the most important thing one has, nothing is more valuable than knowledge. Because being in the possession of the right information can save you lots of money and even make you a lot of money, it can also stop you from endangering yourself and making new opportunities . Knowledge gives you power. Power gives you happiness. If knowledge and understanding are a humans ability for happiness then nothing is more powerful than knowledge. It means seeking knowledge is a necessary inevitability for humans.

First you need to have a good skill, you can't just join a community, find the rich and begging to them if you need a job because no one want to be a friend with you.

Second you can try to show your skill in social medias, hanging out with anyone you can and join any communities, this will increase you find a good people or clients.

Third, make a good relationship with them, don't try to hard sell your skills because they will not comfortable to make a relationship with you.

After that, you can build your personal branding and start your entrepreneur journey!

Joining with good people is a good beginning, try linkedin. Just do self correction, improve your skill, and keep looking for new jobs. So something with what you have to generate small income, atleast for temporary jobs
If possible, don't just do it temporarily, but it would be better if it could be done forever because joining good people will definitely have a very good effect on ourselves in certain ways. Especially in terms of business and also things that can support our economy to be better, because usually good people are always willing to share effective tips that they have used before in developing something in a better direction, of course. So make sure that joining good people can be an important point forever and not just for a moment.

I don't know what you're getting at but I can see your point of trying to use a hobby of yours if you've got any that you would hone so you can earn from it but I got to tell you though, that's not a good way to have a hobby because you're going to be miserable still, don't just suddenly make that hobby your side hustle, learn to ease into it or you'd risk getting burned out, do it little by little and you would know that the right time has come when you finally can use that hobby to get paid. Talk with people that are in your circle, learn what jobs are open, earn connections so in the case that you'd want to pursue turning that hobby into your way of making money then you'd never have a problem with customers because you'd have the support of your friends that you've got because you've forged connections and networks.

At the point when you are no longer working or lost your job, it is very important you take caution with the decision you make at that point and the kind of people you meet and the community you join because if you are job hunting to get back on your feet you are prone to make mistakes because you will only be thinking of what will give you funds not what will be useful to you. It is important you get a better job before looking for the right community to join because you may not be able to be in the community with good intentions if you are money minded.

An employee can be job less for a variety of reasons, but it can definitely be a stressful time. He is under non-stop stress about how he will survive the future with his family. But if some things are followed especially after losing a job if a person focuses on those things then he can recover himself even after losing his job.

The first thing a person needs to do is review their finances after losing a job. If he has an idea of how long he can survive in the financial situation he has, he can easily take the corresponding change steps.
As soon as the job leaves, it is definitely necessary to think about it for some time. After losing a job, many emotional issues may come to mind, he should accept those issues.

After losing a job, the job seeker must update his/her CV on various job seeker sites. If he has experience then he can surely find his right place. If he can submit his applications in more places then he will definitely find his suitable place in one of the jobs. In this case, without being disappointed, one must increase his confidence and survive until he gets the job.

This is something you must do while you are still employed, trying to embark in a new adventure, when you have no way to know what the outcome will be, you have a family to support and debts to pay is a big no to me.

At that time you need to look for a job like everyone else and be happy with what you got, it is only once you have job security when you can begin to think about the skills necessary to leave your job behind, so it is likely that you will have to work two jobs at the time, the one you got already and the one you want to create for yourself, and only once you have tested the waters and you are sure you can make money by becoming your own boss, that is when you can finally leave your job.

There's no other way to hone a skill unless you focus on doing the same thing again and again. By doing it, you will be able to face different difficulties that can help you to think of a new idea, techniques, and what is lacking in your skill which you can think of a way to fill that missing piece. This is a long process that not anyone can achieve until they end up giving up. If you are the type of person who does not give up and has complex thinking, you will be able to succeed in honing your skills.

In terms of finding the right community to be part of, of course, the only thing you can do is look for those people who have the same interests as you. You can't just join a certain community with different interests. Compared to looking for a community with the same interests, you can ask each other's opinion and can give each other the right advice to improve your skills.

And to know the right person or the community to be part of is through communication. Communication is the key to finding a group of people who can contribute to honing your skills. It's always part of everyone's success if you can communicate better and know how to socialize with other people who have the same interests as you.

Losing your job can be one of the most difficult experiences when you are of working age. But think positively, such adverse events can bring lessons that can help a person build character and improve personal development.

There may be bad things that happen when you lose your job, but that's also when you can take it as an opportunity to reflect on yourself and figure out what you really want from your career. You can use this time wisely and increase your professional capacity by developing your skills, gaining new knowledge and looking for other options. I always believe in not giving up when you fail. Be optimistic and never stop fighting because success is very close.

I realize that sometimes people don't have a choice, and they are in circumstances that force them to take jobs that they don't enjoy because they need money. In my life, I've been trying to do things that contribute to my personal growth and development of skills that I find important, and things that I enjoy or at least don't mind doing. I've chosen to earn less but do something I enjoy more many times in my life, and I think this is the way of getting to a life that you like and moving toward your dream. As for the right community, it probably depends on an area in which one wants to develop. But I'd suggest attending public events related to that area, such as conferences, exhibitions, public talks, etc.

If you find yourself in position that your job is not according to your choice then it's better to develop a business side by side and leave your job only when your business is mature enough. Many people do this mistake of quitting job without having an alternate plan.
But if you lose your job due to some reason then if you are not in rush then do look around what attracts you and try to pursue your career in that area like if you are interested in devops then go for it. But most of us who do job are addicted to monthly salary and salary is our prime focus while interest gets secondary position over period of time.

I think that the right approach is to do some technical research on yourself. There must be some hidden things in yourself that you love to do but due to the economic pressure you're avoiding it because in your brain you think it's just wasting my time and it'll not fetch money for me. There is almost every skill that everyone has inside it. He / she loves to do it but due to low scope or difficulties in job search people prefer to go for easy options and then suffer a lot

Just spend some time in finding some basic skills that you love to do and then cash them by spending some time and in learning how to use that particular set of skills to get money

Well, it's easy to know the question that you have when following or joining a community. It's where the interest of the community is prioritized and not the person who started it. It's one of the reasons why it's best to really dive into a community and interact and read the posts that they have and see if it fits you.

I believe that you can find the reason tat you are looking for when you found it. It's just that IMO. If losing a job happens to you, move forward and find the best opportunity that comes your way.

This is an interesting philosophy of life that I agree with. In many countries we are culturally influenced to want more and it seems that nothing is enough, so you have to get the best paid job, even if you don't like it or it doesn't let you free time for your things.

Losing a job can be a problem or a blessing. If you have enough money to support yourself for several months, it can be a great opportunity to reinvent yourself and look for something you like more than what you were doing for a living until then.

So far you're not running your own business, you don't need to solely rely on your take home pay or wait until you retire or get fired from the job before you start thinking on how to improve yourself and be earning from alternative sources of income. It's important to either learn a skill or belong to a community of progressive people while still doing your day job, because if you feel comfortable and wait to lose the job first before making alternative moves to earn income, then the pressure will be so much. As human needs are insatiable, so everybody with responsibilities need to think of something else to add to their income, be a professional in something that can earn you money.

I am one of those people who also have difficulty finding out who the friends or partners or communities that are suitable for me to join are. Yes, I pay enough attention to the balance between economic, cultural, religious and family values. Many people are more interested in rich people and hope to get the secret of why they became rich. for that reason they are friends. However, that's not my goal of making friends or a real community...

Living just to make money is honorable from other people's perspective, but I'm not a robot. I want to have fun too, I want to love someone, and some other fun things.

Losing a job is indeed a heavy blow for some people, but we must remain enthusiastic about living life. Sometimes God forces us to take a break from the world of work.

It's a difficult situation and difficult question as well but I have been in such situation back in 2019 when I quit my job to pursue full time into an business which didn't even kick off as some key resources pull out before the start hence I started advertising about services which I could provide like customer support, data analysis and forum moderation and then received a sudden message in Skype with some offer and that's it it was a good journey for next three month doing what I like but I made a mistake of not managing finances as a result one delayed payment I couldn't manage my expenses and back to job and still doing a full-time job but continuously looking for a breakthrough in are of my interest. Not everyone succeeds in it as I am an example of failed dreams but earning decent enough to feed my family and give them comfortable lifestyle.

Do remember, as long as you are not giving up in this life, you always have the chance to achieve your dreams. You don't need to achieve the dream on your first try, a lot of successful people had their own share of failed attempts.

Also, you don't need to join a community to find a new job that you feel you have more passion about. Just consider freelancing sites like upwork. You can basically check all kinds of jobs available to anyone. Create your own profile highlighting your skills or expertise and you will find out that best matches for your skills will automatically come up.

I’m just going to start by mentioning that everything depends on the individual who lost the job and the skills they already possess. So, asking whether or not that person should join a community or follow someone is a very good question. It means the person needs to join a community aligned with their skills or the type of job they are seeking, so they can build connections and learn from others.

At the same time, the person should follow successful individuals who are already in the same field to understand the business landscape, risks, and opportunities. By being part of the right community and learning from experienced peop, they can gather valuable information to monetize their skills.

One thing people should always practice is competitor analysis. By studying competitors and learning from experienced professionals in the field, individuals can adopt best practices and improve their skills businesses.

It’s highly encouraged for anyone who has lost a job to explore new opportunities by joining groups and communities that facilitate learning and understanding of current trends in their field. Platforms like mastermind group chats can be a great option for networking and learning.

Most times I even think that chasing a dream is just an excuse to take a break from routine and just live a little because how does one explain chasing a dream without having a potential or minimal source of income or being in the midst of people of shared interest or having a clear mapped out plan or an idea of what the dream being chased is about.

The worst after job loss is missing the job so much for those who love working at the particular job description and the ease at which one looks forward to the paycheck. Although some love routine more than others, to chase a dream would be to have a routine that's like a job and taking it seriously so that it earns one a reputation among others as well as an income.

Good work should look like a hobby that also brings in money. How many of us have such a job? The topic touches on the issue of job loss, so it is too early to talk further about creating wealth after loss. But yes, a lot of people who lose their usual place of comfort are sometimes motivated to develop something new and close to what they are good at.
How do you find people who share your interests? Now there is the Internet, and we can say with confidence that many interests will coincide with the interests of other people.
The problem is that opening and developing a new business most often requires funds, and, as usual, after losing your main job, they are not quite enough, and you have to look again for a place that pays. Therefore, you need to develop and plan your dream when everything is going well for you, not when troubles with income occur.

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?
I believe you have to seek for sharing relationships and coexistence with people who have similar goals and purposes in life you have. People who are congruent to your values, beliefs and principles. This way, one will work as a powerful fuel for the another by his side, in a mutual engagement where one inspire each other, being really helpful for your personal development and enhancement. You have to avoid people who will take you down, stress you, or disturb your focus in life.

And here I include bad friends, family members and lovers, as they have potential to make your life regress if you don't pay attention to, and if you become submissive or dependant to them.

Now, how you are going to find his appropriate group is a hard question. I don't think there is a guaranteed recipe for that. These things usually happen naturally in life. You just have to be intuitive enough to know when your time comes, to not waste the opportunity of joining together with people who really matter to have around you.

If you lose your job, you must first confirm your financial situation.  And if every basic need of your family is dependent on you then you must ensure it and then quit your job or think about your hobby or ambition.  Because we cannot quit our jobs to fulfill our ambitions at the risk of our own and family's basic needs.  Also, if you lose your job, you must find another job as soon as possible using your skills.  And if you have someone else to provide money to your family, then the matter will be different.

its tough question but my take is that an unexplored skill of your interest or I can say hobby, can't always be monetized, sometime there's harsh truth that maybe our hobby, that supposedly if become our dream job can be the best job of our life, isn't really the thing that get us to survive and living the life that we are in.
I mean if you are truly skilled at your unexplored skill that you've been dreaming of you can be trying to offer a service being a freelancer, you will have better realistic view of the world and whether your unexplored skills truly matter.
there are many people that willing to have the job that they don't like just to get paid and survive, there are many of such people, but of course if you somehow find some opportunity with your unexplored skill and sees that you can make it, you can try it out there's no wrong in trying after all its hard to shake off the thoughts of fulfilling that dream as you said.

For those of us who have a dream or have a pulling towards a certain area of our life, it may be that's why it's been difficult to keep a job because you just can't shake off the thoughts of fulfilling that dream.

It may be a strange post, but if one has to make wealth and be of value in this life he /she has to be able to love their work so much so that it seems they don't work at all and that's because such persons do what they love or do what they understand best.

With such disappointment as a job loss and in an economic situation like the one we are faced with in our country, and living in a new environment where it's easier to meet the wrong categories of person,

My question is that, how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

How does one know the right persons to follow and community to join to help them achieve their dream or purpose in this life?

Your thoughts are welcomed!

You are definitely blessed with good fortune if you enjoy your work, but it's also possible to make even the most mundane jobs more palatable with the right state of mind. Not many people necessarily want to go to work, even if they love what they do, so that is one thing to bare in mind. If you're unhappy with your job then you have to look and most importantly grasp any opportunities as they become available, because the window may close quicker than you think. It's perfectly normal to jump around a few different jobs as you're getting older, if you are lucky you might stumble into one that you find is much more enjoyable than others. A job can even be affected by the environment you work in and the people that surround you, which can make a huge difference.

It's true, many people today, even if they have a good job, prefer to resign and find what they really want to do or career to pursue in their lives. I believe that each person has his own destiny when it comes to career, some are destined to do business and others are destined to be employees, it really depends on his skills and abilities that we have. as you mentioned, it is normal to explore other things until we find the career that we really want to do especially when we get older, we will look for the peaceful surroundings rather than the chaotic and noisy side of the world.

Not everything is like that and it doesn't have to be like that. Because what determines whether we meet someone or a community is ourselves without having to follow that person or community if there is something we don't like, and we also have to know whether that person or community is useful for us or not. And coming back to ourselves and what we need, if it's not useful or important to us, there's no harm in looking for or finding the person or community we need.
To be honest, the OP's question was confusing and the words were difficult to understand clearly, and I tried to answer according to a few sentences that I understood.
And in essence, we are the ones who live and determine our lives and we are also required to be able to read or judge the people or communities we live in, and if we don't have that ability we will always be lost. And I think it's very easy to judge whether a person or a community is good for us or not, and we have to be in it to know the truth.

I think the first step to do is to focus on yourself. I am sure that after an unsatisfying job, there should come a point that you feel burnout so you should spend more time focusing on yourself just to regain your energy back.

After you feel ready then you can go out and try different hobbies.

New hobbies often allows you to find new friends and new support systems.

If you just explore and find comfort in yourself, it would be a piece of cake to find the right community.
Truly spoken. One needs to settle down for some time and recuperate after a job loss. During this time, is when resumes get arranged, hobbies get more engaged in to free the mind of the pressures and conditioning one has grown accustomed to during the working days.
It may be hard at first but if there's a flow in the process of getting ahead after a job loss, am sure one might likely find themselves in the right community where they actually belong.

New hobbies definitely do the trick and refreshes ones thinking ability.

You can learn many skills online from resources like YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, and other websites. To determine if your skills are ready for  work, research job postings on sites like Upwork and Fiverr. Find postings related to your skills and simulate offering your services as if you were responding to a real client. If you feel confident in your ability to deliver, then your skills are likely marketable.  Remember, besides developing your technical skills, it's essential to learn how to market yourself effectively.

It can be tricky to know for sure if you've found the perfect community, but a good sign is a focus on give-and-take. If you actively contribute by sharing your skills and knowledge, and receive help and support from others in return, that's a positive indicator.  However, since finding the ideal fit takes time, trust your gut! If a group or person makes you feel pressured, undervalued, or like you're not good enough, it's okay to move on. There's no pressure to stay in a community that doesn't feel right.

It depends on the specific area you want to explore. If it’s not that common you might only find the right community through friends and family and might not be as well known in the internet but if it is common I am sure there are many groups on the internet where you can talk to members of the group about that field.

It is important to have a support system when going through such changes in life. Aside from sourcing out other communities, you can depend on friends and families and spend more time with them. You can also go and find yourself a therapist to help you. A therapist doesn’t mean you’re sick or anything. Therapists are just helpful in figuring out what we want in life.

That is something you will only find out when you are already in the community.

You can't really judge a community based on other people's reviews about it, together with what you can read on the facet. You have to join that community, get the experience from other members, and judge for yourself.

There's no limit to the amount of groups or communities you can join into when you're faced with such a dire circumstance. You will need all the support and help you can get during these times and talk with someone to not get overwhelmed with grief.

Working a job alone already has its own set of pressure. As a smart person, when you know your working for someone or you know there is a figure above you whose actions can affect you greatly, you need to feel the threat and realize that, things could go sideways at whichever time and when your not prepared for it, you would be hurt in the worst possible way. This should tell you that, you need to have your own thing going where you would be the boss and what you say goes. You don’t need to wait until your laid off your job before you start harnessing your skills, you harness it when you find it. If you were yet to find it before loosing your job, then the pressure that comes with loosing your job should aid you find it.

At times it is good for one to experience negativity in their life like the loss of a job because it is through that their difficult moments they will discover what they can do or learn to enrich themselves in the bad economy.

It is only a lazy person who will lose a job and find it hard to reconnect with friends or colleagues on how they could fix themselves on something doing than staying idle.

I remember years back when I first lost my job, I didn't fold my hands waiting for a job to come to my doorstep before I started working again. I used the time of job loss to acquire skills first before searching for new jobs so that I could at least combine the two to survive in today's economy.

Being lazy may just be far from consideration because living in an environment where there isn't the availability of the skill set one needs to learn or the level of exposure one wants does not exist in proximity, it is a lot to discourage one and make the person lazy.

I know YouTube can help in learning, but a lot is learned from a professional tutor who knows where to get the right materials and tools for use and also a lot can be easily learned from finding and belonging to the right group of like minded individuals that form a community.

What am more interested in is how does one know when they have found and are in the right group of persons?

Also, how does one make connections to gain audience with those they aspire to be like and learn from, perhaps due to shared passion of interest, in the real world of course?

I don’t think that you need to join any communities, instead what you can do is to follow up with those who have done exactly what you want to do. It may not be the exact dream as yours but at least they put in the work to achieve their dreams anyway. While you do this, keep growing yourself and skills. The best investment one can make is the one they make in themselves. Job loss is part of life, don’t let it weigh you or hold you down beyond what it should.

These are very tough questions. If you somewhat meet the right people you'll get back on your feet very quickly. These people are everywhere. They sit next to you in a bar, they go to the same artist's concert with you, you go to the same hairdresser with them. There are assholes around too but you need to be able to identify the right people very successfully. That's a social skill which you can learn. These people will be glad to help you out because they are rich and rich people are mostly chill.

Network mate. A person with a good friend network will never starve. It is all that matters in this age.

I have a friend who is a college dropout and he owns a software company if you can believe it. The best part is, he doesn't know how to code a single "hello world" app. He collects the orders from the customers and sends them to a 3rd party software company/group. He can do this because he knows many people, he can reach many people.

that's sort of a people skills. not everyone has that kind of skills.
and no everyone also found their trade. some people just work out of necessity, not really their expertise and if they are laying off then the problem will soon arise. In this situation, he'd rather be the 3rd party who knows how to code because these are the kinds of fields that is hard to be replaced.

for me, i would rather be selling some stuff and be a businessman. if i have to cook hotdogs and buns for the passersby, i'd do it.

If you lose your job it's important to assess your finances, update your resume, network, seek benefits, enhance your skills, stay positive, maintain a routine, & seek support. If you knock on enough doors, one will open. One chapter of your life ending gives you a chance to start a new, even better one.
If you lose your job due to dismissal from the company or office you work in you need to pay attention to several aspects for the future, starting from updating your knowledge to a better one, improving the skills you have, looking for a community with opportunities to get a job more easily and most importantly being brave. try challenging new things.
I believe when upgrading skill and had experienced easily find the other job with higher amount of salary payment will receive in the future, need to make our self braveness looking for other job and upgrading skill based on how many companies required with our skill. Don't make us loss hope after losing job if you have skill and more experience will be easily looking for other job.

The 9-5 is not for everyone, but while trying to become independent, you need to know the direction you are plotting your life towards, and then put yourself in a comfortable position to pursue this dream so you can quit your 9-5 job. Stopping a job you have or not making any attempt to keep it may put you in a discomforting position where your dreams become harder to pursue.

how does one go about joining the right community to fulfil a dream after a job loss?

This takes conscious effort, you need to know exactly what you want, and the kind of people you should be entertaining in your life if you must achieve that dream. You also need to know the kind of people to avoid, people who are bad for your life, and whose relationship with you will deter you from your goals and dreams.
