Not trying to bump, just that I want to bump it myself every 24 hours.
It does not help if you bump your topic every 24 hours. Your bump power will be decreased after each bump. Your bump is an individual bump (see the third chart in the quoted post)

If your bump power is the same every day, that improvement does not change anything for bumping effects and prevent shill accounts bumping topics for their services.

theymos' explanation on bump power
You're right. I think that the auto-stabilization property I described actually is desirable, though, so I changed the system to provide it. Now your super-bump power is: b*(1-0.15*s/b), where b is your base power and s is the total bump score you've contributed via superbumps over the last 30 days. This gives the same result as the previous algorithm except when any 30-day period overlaps with another.

I simplified your formula to as follows:
b*[0.85^(s/b)]

I am fairly confident the above is the intention, but have no way of testing if it is implemented because I have superbumped threads in the past 30 days. If the 's/b' is an exponent, I can rule out the '0.15' from being the base because if someone has never superbumped any threads, the exponent will be zero, and the parenthesis would be simplified to '1-1', or zero, and if the 0.15 is multiplied by 's/b' the rolling 30 day cumulative superbump score (assuming 1 superbump per day) varies a lot for the first 90 days after the first 30 days of superbumping. Using an exponent to 0.85 results in the superbump power stabilizing within 60 days if someone superbumps one thread per day.

I have charted both the above exponent formula, and 0.15 being multiplied by s/b below:
b*[0.85^(s/b)]

0.15 being multiplied by 's/b':

I have also charted the individual superbump power if someone bumps one thread per day based on the exponent formula:

The current method makes it difficult for newbies to have an influence in changing the order of topics, which is the reason that many ads use bots with beginner accounts.
You need to convince higher-ranked members to participate in your promotional campaign, either by using signature campaigns, paid evaluations, or other methods.
Trying to buy the ability to put your project bumping up will be useless, so try to make more effort to get higher interest from members and thus keep your topic up.

Good updates, makes sense!

My thread is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5278674.0;topicseen

I remember I could bump it a few months ago, not anymore

As someone mentioned it can be done by account with higher merit level

No God or Kings, only BITCOIN.
Somebody made a post on it today and it is on the 2 or 3rd page.
The poster surely has no bumping power that is why the post was still at the 2nd or 3rd page. A much higher account will do or who has been active for a long time or the received merits just recently. I think it's better this way because way back then it was a total mess with those bot account trying to get onto the first page.

I think there used to be a ''bump'' option.
There are still two bump buttons:
- One is in the upper right corner of the page while the other one is in the bottom right corner.

It looks like you're referring to another account and judging by the board in question, I'm guessing that a Newbie user might be the one that commented on your thread, so the following quote might be the reason for such behavior:
- Read: Bumping changes on some boards

Base bump power

Your base bump power is the smaller of these two values:
 - The activity you would have if you'd signed up 1 year ago.
 - The merit you've earned in the last year.

If it's zero (as it will be for newbies), then you don't bump at all.

Most of you are using the bump button and that's why anyone who uses it lately will be on the top after the other uses it.

That's why yours got on the next pages.

I have got a thread running there, how do I get it to the first page?

I think there used to be a ''bump'' option.

Thread bumping is allowed by the forum but can only be made every 24 hours meaning if you will personally bumped the thread it must be done in every 24 hours time or else someone will Post on your thread then it will go up. but intentionally ? that will be considered as spam and may be reported to be deleted .

which thread are you implying here? maybe we can check it out.
