The true singularity will come from within, we are the technology.
After the music festival is assembled I will appear over the sky as a UFO or spirit. So long as my presence is not feared, I will descend to the ground and play guitar on the stage. The positive energy from the music will create a feedback loop from the energy of the audience and the collective frequency will exponentially rise. This energy will be felt all around the globe and as the last of the fear/ego is removed from our planet, we will walk into heaven, we will incur singularity.

The singularity involves the conscious intelligent control of evolution. So how do we consciously decide how to allocate finite physical resources be they food or computing capacity? Of course we do that now but with motivations that are the creation of an evolutionary process. We will have the power to change those motivations, but we can not get around the reality that the motivations that will determine our decisions are those from evolution that have led to such imaginable cruelty and enormous suffering.
I can now imagine the point when the virtual coporation that i created will fire me. 
Scientist predict that somewhere between 2017 to 2040, artificial intelligence will reach what is called the technological singularity, a point where it will surpass human intelligence. From there, anything is possible. We are closing the launch of Mastercoin, ethereum and other Distributed Autonomous Organization. How far can it be until someone program a DAO that will think and preserve itself. I can easily imagine programming a "Virtual Autonomous Corporation" capable of making it's own strategic and economic decisions for its own survival.

It doesn't matter when computers surpass human intelligence. It will be the end when they finally become aware, no matter how intelligent they are.
