Even though they distributed the other chain of the previous BCC fork, it is best to still find out where they stand and make some findings if possible. If they are going to support BCG, good and fine, if not, it is still not too late to transfer your coins to an account you have control of your private keys.

You will receive your bitcoin gold after the fork is done, but check the link that the other user posted above and you will see what wallets and which exchanges are going to give you bitcoin gold based on your quantity of bitcoins.
But it is a hard fork, you will receive the same as before 1:1 of your total bitcoins, so if you have 0.01 bitcoins, you will receive 0.01 bitcoin gold
and probably it wil be worth less than $100 once that it is listed on exchanges

Going back in the previous fork or on Bitcoin cash event you would see here on the list on exchanges do accept the fork https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/these-bitcoin-exchanges-and-wallets-are-supporting-bitcoin-cash/
which we can see that Bitfinex is included then probably they would support this upcoming fork too on bitcoin which we can potentially gain free bitcoin gold.
