Just Copy / Paste, then Find / Replace(d).
Easy, just duplicate the source code and change the name

Trivial, It;s why there have been hundreds of poinless & worthless 'clones' 
Well the source code of bitcoin is available so not too hard i would imagine.
How hard is it to copy bitcoin exactly or with minor changes and would merged mining work with this new alt coin?
