it did not affect me. Don't risk what you can't lose. But sometimes greed makes to do it

Greed is pure instinct, we must fight against ourselves.

In math we trust.
Actually I lost a nice amount of bitcoin.
But at the end I learn't a lot from that, now I understand the house edge and I comply with the never gamble if more than you can afford to loose.
It made me a bit more conservative and cautions when it comes to managing my financial assets.

For me it has been an upward ride. I have mostly played only poker with bitcoin ,and I have also played live extensively. Overall it has only been good and has helped me play without any restrictions that exist in my country and has allowed me to build a good bankroll too.

I have also had some downward swings by being a degen on dice sites.

I knew about gambling since I knew bitcoin and bitcointalk's gambling section.
At the first glance, I couldn't control my greed to gamble so at the end I suffer much loss. Ofcourse it hurt me alot but I realize this is gambling , there will be a risk if you want to won something big

Move On !!!!!!
I have discovered Bitcoin gambling last year in November. Until then I was seeing some ads but haven't really payed attention. It was amazing to me at the first moment how easy was to gamble with your bitcoins. Yes, you had to trust the site operator, but if you read the reviews on this forum, you were pretty much sure that they are legit. So I tried. Hassle free, no verification, sending documents etc.. I was amazed. One site even pays you money directly to the wanted address, I won't mention names so it doesn't seem that I am endorsing their services.

So I kept going and going. At the end I have lost about 1 BTC altogether. Luckily I was strong enough to never ever place a single bet after December of last year. I have bet mainly on sports by the way.

This ease of use also got me thinking, help God to those that are not strong enough. This is a sure recipe to lose all of their coins. This is definitely something to think about.

I've been gambling for many years so discovering bitcoin gambling hasn't really made any major changes to my life.
It's just given me somewhere else to gamble in another way. I've won some decent amounts but I've lost lots of times too so as far as impacting my life it hasn't really changed anything Smiley

It's let my gambling addiction continue as banks etc. (and i do mean etc.) wanted nothing to do with me anymore. It was a damn hassle funding off-shore books with fiat at the end of that chapter of my life.

However, i do like how i have a choice to continue to gamble or not. In no way am i implying bitcoin is at fault for my addiction.

In short: some days i love BTC, some days i do not  Smiley

I like your last statement, and that's largely as far as it needs to go, with many aspects of life, other than gambling, you can apply the same principle.

I think the alluring idea of that "big win" will forever be enough to entice people to return over and over and over again, and now you add stuff like online ease, simple use of services, maybe simple fiat payments/cards/withdrawals/loyalty programs etc...

There are so many things that can and are introduced into the Gambling world to keep people around, And well, if you look at lets say "top 10 pay outs for this week" and it's accurate true information from the Gambling service, then you would see, they actually do fork out a fair amount of funds back to the players, the number of players is small, the rewards are not, everybody is largely working kinda "together" and the winner takes some of my money/some of yours/the next guy and so on, vicious circle, but a business model nonetheless.
rather than the possibility of a "big win" being the main thing driving people to keep on gambling (dont get me wrong, it does), i think the bigger influence is the notion that money can be made with minimal effort, which i think the the fundamental idea that attracts people to gambling in the first place as well. what's better than doubling your money with the click of a button? or even just being dealt a blackjack and having 1.5x of your bet given to you on a silver platter? bonuses such as rake backs, loyalty/rewards programs are nice, but theyre not the driving force that has people gambling.

Well, the game of DICE has been around for a very long time, the only thing really that changes in this instance we talk about is the currency used to play with. sure technology has spurred it along to pretty incredible levels such as the bitcoin equivalents of it, but largely, just as the game has been around for generations, so has there been some interesting very profitable wins, and some down right heavy losses.

I enjoy the DICE game's, I agree it's fast, however that's where the auto playing bots come into play, and what I mean by that is, it doesn't change the speed, however you can govern the rolls, the bet increments, the win/loss increase, I think if you do your research, spend some time understanding the fundamentals, and make "smart calculated risks" I think in the long run, you can profit.

DICE Games or "Gambling" for that matter, is not the issue or disease or reason for any "misfortune" it starts with a human, making a choice to partake, and if he is weak willed and really pushes things out of bounds to a point where he is at a serious loss and in trouble, he largely brings that upon himself, any gambling mechanism wasn't invented to ensure every single individual on earth would "get his share"

All you get is, a simple statement to say that you can take a gamble and boy ohh boy can it pay off, IF IF IF you get it. For every action, there is an opposite and equal re-action.

Here's a Scenario, you never see/hear/read of it because humans are for the most part incapable of doing it:

If you played any Gambling related game, and you give yourself a floor and set amount to work with, and you vouch to completely stop for that particular instance the moment you have profited 3% from the floor, and return only the next day, what is the outcome of that?

That's the difference, mindset and clear calculated risks that make sense and WILL pay off in the long run, or a super lucky situation that also of course halves the time and is awesome, or the complete opposite.

By finding bitcoin, my life economical state doesn't really affected with it (mostly because i just have a small fraction of bitcoin) but still i got to know more about cryptocurrency and decentralization which is changing my view a bit Cheesy

Come to think of it, you would rather want to stay in a position where you say "I only accumulate small amounts of Bitcoin, so I wouldn't know how it affects my life until I have been able to either profit greatly or experience a bad losing streak"

The fact that you don't know how it feels, is actually your safest "bet" haha Smiley but again, unless you can make smart calculated clearly thought out bets/plans/plays and you are very sure it will pay off, then you can change that statement Smiley

So, what is the secret to do not loose at all, champs? Grin

Being dellusional i guess, haha. He probably loses a lot, statistically he must, most people that say they dont gamble with more money that they can afford to lose are almost always lying and even if at first they are using money they can afford to lose if they end up loosing it they most likely deposit more to cover the loss, that´s why people lose a lot because they never stop, stop when you are on profit AND stop when you are on loss too.

Tbh, bitcoin didn't affect my gambling side. I had no problems before bitcoin with deposit or withdrawals using fiat.
But i can see how some people find it more appealing than fiat, especially if they're trying to hide their possible addiction to gambling..

I don't think it's about hiding anything. You can gamble with so little when using btc, and you just can't do that with fiat, because the minimum deposits are normaly $10 etc (which is nothing, but it's a lot mre than what you can do with btc). Besides, there are the faucets etc, that allow you to try it right away and without risking anything.

It's really a lot easier.

To say it afected my life is probably a bit to much, but I must say it made gambling much more easier of course. And I could even try some types of gambling that I never tired before like dice, or all those strange but funny btc games out there.
I still prefer sportsbetting and poker, and that is alot easier to, because of the low bet limits, and no need to register or confirm identity etc.

Hmm, hasn't really affected my life as such, at least not yet, and I am talking about this from both sides, good and bad. I guess you need to either experience a serious losing streak or some crazy ongoing winning streak to really have that true feeling of any of this having and adverse "effect" on your life. However, the word "Gamble" pretty much sums all of this up for you really quickly, it's up to you to device on what side of the fence you want to be, here are your choices:

1. Flip out get mad crazy, do something that you will regret, complain and blame a bunch of systems/people/tips/stats for the loss
2. Go back and say the word "Gamble" to yourself in the mirror for hours on end, then check dictionary and confirm what it means

You either are a smart/analytical gambler who steadily increases his profits with smart calculated risks
You either snowball and make big mistakes and really go down to a level that you might likely not get out of, or you get in the books of the wrong people (not recommended)
You have one hell of a "lucky" break, and that is pretty much what you need to remind yourself is one of the fundamental things people forget, you are taking a gamble, so, how many "wins" do u want until you back off, and how many "losses" can you afford and is the smart choice...

It's a tough space to play in.... pun intended Smiley

While it is true that Signature campaigns are mainly advertising gambling services there are some notable exeptions like: Bit-X, Coinoindex.com, www.cloudmining.website, Cryptovpn.me etc.
With signature campaigns you are able to advertise anything really. That is too bad that we don't have more bitcoin services utilizing this possibility and so far gambling it the mainly branch of the bitcoin market with this idea. So far it turns out that this way it better that buying banner directly from the forum.

They are not different than gambling sites. Altcoin trading is like gambling. Cloud mining is worse than gambling. High fee charging exchange services are scam, don't use them.

It has certainly taught me self control. I do feel that the easiness of playing makes it more addictive, I have sometimes gambled a bit more than I should have, but getting better at avoiding that luckily.

And I have won a few progressive jackpots of over 5 BTC, the first one I had won while putting in only like 0.07 btc into the casino.
Got myself a nice galaxy S5, purchased with Bitcoin of course.

Smoke weed everyday!
The only change I have found was an extra amount of self control which I no doubt had anyway to be fair, there was a time early on where I had a little gamble and then I started thinking about it to much and wanting to do it everyday. This I stopped and I never done that lol But I can see how some do and I have to feel a little sorry for them and hope they don't have families that rely on them.

As the title says. Bitcoin gambling allows an easy, hassle-free way for just about anyone to gamble; there are no age restrictions, not really a minimum to play, and the max bets are often in the thousands of dollars (fiat value). in addition, most gambling sites offer faucets that may act as a gateway for people to become addicted. So how have you all changed since gambling? have you become an addict constantly searching for coin to fuel your addiction? or has it taught you self-restraint from your past losses? really curious where this'll go.

That is mad that teenagers can max bet thousands and you have just made me think about it as I never did until now. Regulation will surly be around in the next few years because that is crazy.

Luckily I am old enough and ugly enough to know when enough is enough, how have I changed? I'm not sure I have to be honest. For sure it can be a pain having such easy access to alll these sites but I've always had self restraint and it has not been a problem till now.

In over 2 years I have lost around 5btc but most of them was when btc was less than $100, I've enjoyed it as a pass time. So all is well.

Have you noticed any change in yourself since finding Bitcoin gambling?
im in a similar boat, more or less. i have not and still do not gamble often, but if anything, exposure to bitcoin gambling has given me a more negative outlook on the people here if anything. cases such as an individual contemplating/talking suicide (even if they didnt really mean it, its still pathetic to see) after losing 0.03 using martingale on a dice site really had a negative impact on my outlook as far as what the majority of people that play on these sites are like or may be like. similar behavior is apparent on this forum as well; people really, and i mean really value small amounts of bitcoin as they would a handful of gold. you see nickel and dime scammers running across the forum or people stingy enough to abuse gambling sites' faucets for 1000 satoshi every few minutes. im pretty much rambling at this point, but i think you get the gist of what im trying to say.

Wow 0.03btc and not loving life, that should be easy to put down as a fun time and if it wasn't then gambling should never be considered by someone like you say above. (mentally unstable over $7) it is a shame to see such sorry people on the forum  Undecided

I think BTC has changed online gambling a lot, people who were already playing online now are playing more since they don't need to provide any sort of IDs and stuff and people who didn't played online earlier because they didn't had the online payment instruments such PP, Skrill etc. are getting into it now because they see how convenient it is to deposit/withdraw.

For me I was playing poker online before I learned of BTC gambling but I never played other Casino games online but since being introduced to it I have started gambling more regularly, a bit amateurishly at first but responsibly now.

In over 2 years I have lost around 5btc but most of them was when btc was less than $100, I've enjoyed it as a pass time. So all is well.

Have you noticed any change in yourself since finding Bitcoin gambling?

no effect at all to me.

After a while I found gambling boring and walked away.

But I dunno how signature campaigns would be without gambling sites

Are this many "how did gambling affect your life" threads really necessary? There's like 3 on page one of this forum right now.

It seems people are really curious Smiley

Bitcoin casino are way better but I still play as often as a regular brick and mortar casino just get to enjoy it in my home instead. Most issues come when you play for income instead of fun. Only very lucky people can make it a constant income. Play for fun this goes especially for people like the poster above.

I have wasted 1000s on bitcoin gambling. Never gambled until I got into bitcoin. Its created a horrible addiction and has caused many sad days/nights.

I've made a good amount of money with Bitcoin casinos BUT, I do not like the fact that when you deposit it doesn't show your U.S dollar amount. For some reason, I play more safe when my balance is displayed in dollars rather than Bitcoin. So yes, bitcoin casinos can be dangerous.

Bitcoin simplified gambling industry. With it I can open a page and play. Many sites don't even force me to create account, my btc adress is enough. How awesome is that?
From the other side this simplicity may be bad for people with gambling problems and minors. There is no way to check if in casino +18 play a kid.

yes I was addicted to gambling and I was very lucky, when it lost I do not always look for the coins to be burned. because I have learned restraint, from a dark past because of gambling.

I believe there is minimum age in most bitcoin casino.

It's fun. Don't risk what you can't lose and you'll have no problem. I've made some and I've lost some..that's life.

How this thread different than that: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life?

It has no effects in my life. I only play for fun.
that thread is asking for a black and white answer: are you broke and homeless or are you burning 100 dollar bills for firewood? im asking for more of "whats changed now?" with this thread, although 99% of the posts here are mindlessly thought up in 3 seconds.

It has made life easier  Smiley

Much easier, I mean, with real life you have a min deposit amount to play, while most of the website has lower, and makes me feel easier to play and have fun even with less.

I was always a gambler but bitcoin gambling made it more convenient for me to gamble and as far as addiction goes, I don't know if I can call one myself yet but I have lost a good amount of money since I started gambling online with BTC but I still think I can make up my losses just need some luck on my side.

Gotten more broke, that's for sure  Grin. Well, since btc's are easy to access and you don't have to worry about verifying yourself before gambling on a site sets you a lil loser compared to fiat sites. Self control has certainly been difficult. Then again, it's all in the game, never gamble what you can't afford to lose.
