well! You thinking about making an exchange? But its quite worst if you don't know anything about how to make a exchange. I think before stars making an exchange you should have proper knowledge about how to make a simple website. Then step by step you can learn it.Nonetheless we all seen numbers of exchange got hacked already. It's happen slowly but surely.

Hello guys,
Anyone knows how to build a secured exchange. I have been using (Peatio) http://peatio.info/ but I find it quite difficult to modify it.
A little suggestion will be helpful, thanks in advance.

Many experts and crypto enthusiasts still didn’t get a clear viewpoint to build their own cryptocurrency exchange platform for their exchange business solution. Here I explained step by step processes to build your exchange platform.

10 steps to launch your bitcoin exchange platform:

  • Identify the location where you want to launch your exchange platform.
  • Get the proper licenses from the targeted location.
  • Ensure What type of exchange you want to launch (CEX, DEX).
  • Analysis of the Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency exchange industry.
  • Connect your exchanges with others to create more liquidity.
  • Combine with payment gateway.
  • Go live via beta testing.
  • Start marketing & PR campaigns.
  • Offer 24*7 customer support.

It's actually easier said than done (in most cases).

It depends on your geolocation, regulations, etc.

Also, you need to predetermine which features you'd like your crypto exchange to have:

- Two-factor authentication
- Cold storage for the majority of funds
- A simple and easy-to-use exchange
- Fiat Withdrawals – Fast and Direct to a bank account
- High Level of Security
- Type of order book
- Crypto to crypto (or to fiat as well)
- etc, etc

We are a premium Blockchain Development company and can help you with each step of building your own crypto exchange (either cex or dex).

If you are asking this type of question and unable to modify a template, how are you going to deal with the security aspect? I think it is better not to embark on it based on the question you asked. This type of project is not something you learn on the job, it is for savy

I seriously hope you are not 'algobasket' the developer. (https://github.com/algobasket)

Because you have your own fork of the original peatio that people are actually using. https://github.com/algobasket/PeatioCryptoExchange

And algobasket is a known scammer name in the peatio / rubykube community.

Are you interested in building up a crypto exchange website where all of the users will buy and sell crypto coins? If yes, you simply search on google. Besides, you can simply follow this one: https://exchange.all-stocks.net I hope you'll get some basic idea what they have done already. This is a place which offer free coupon code for the users "ALLBTK". Besides, it has a feature for regular crypto news and updates.

Lots of experts suggested you already which one to follow in order to build up a new crypto exchange platform. You can simply follow any of them. All the best!

Here you go.
Here are some open-source exchanges[1][2][3][4] (only the last one uses PHP). There is no guarantee that these projects don't have any bugs/backdoors. Unless you're a Senior developer and have a lot of experience, you probably shouldn't use them for anything other than educational purposes.

Trying to make the world better for everyone.
If you want a proper, secure and working exchange:
*You need to think of an attractive name, that is the most important part.
*Platform is important too. You can develop one yourself, buy currently working one or get a white labeled one. (My advise white labeled exchange)
*Think of exchange with best security. KYC, identification. All is important.
*Contact other exchanges to share liquidity. Without liquidity an exchange is rubbish.
*With platform, you need a lot of licenses. Again, yourself or buy from others.
*When you have licenses and platform, all that is left is marketing and support work force.
*Tadaaaam. Your exchange is set and working.

It is not advisable to venture into this if you are asking on the know-how knowledge required to build a successful exchange. Those who have the domain experience still get hacked, how much more someone that want to learn how to do it. It is not a kids play because any loophole will lead to data and capital lost.

The door isn't close for this kind of business just because he don't have proper knowledge on how he can create his own crypto exchange. Most businessmen out here all just needs capital in order to start their own business and opening up a crypto exchange of his own is not any different from it. With the right people employed under him he would have his exchange running in no time. Just remember that creating a crypto exchange is not the tricky part here but it is all about the legality involve around it, @OP if you are interested in this kind of business you must consider first consulting with a lawyer in order to make your operations legal and after that part you can launch what you have developed. You really need to have a big budget for this since you would most likely spend on marketing and advertising your exchange in order for you to have traders in your platform, if you don't have the capital you might want to rethink on creating your own crypto exchange.

The OP has not logged in since he started the thread so the motive behind the question he asked remains unknown.

I agree with you that the door is not closed for this type of business for the reasons you stated but there is no indication why the OP asked the question, maybe he wants an exchange to test the code and use it for his own demo.

Could imagine OP was looking for some random free advice, so he spam posted this in a bunch of forums, and then just forgot about it the next day, I've had days like that where I just get super motivated and then forget about it later.

That's the best advice someone could give you to be honest. From the start, when you start something big, you'll need to go through everything step by step with your personal lawyer - and then you can start making big moves like platform development.

Creating exchange isn't like buying hosting from namecheap, installing wordpress and buying theme from envato, no, it's not just that two clicks.
As I see you want secure exchange and are looking for script, even binance and other top exchanges aren't secure and how will publicly availablr nulled scripts will be secure.
For running an exchange, you need a team of professional developers who will take care of website and always try to find and fix bugs.
Never forget what regulations will be set on you, you have to consider and protect those steps.

If you are asking this type of question, you should not make any attempt to launch any because hackers will not welcome you with delight. You have to deal with security issue and to protect priviledge information and you lack the know-how. I will advise you to stay clear or higher trusted party with experience in such field

Am worried on this curiosity, I wish I know why you need the knowledge. Is like a 7year boy who wants to know how to drive a car, if his parent can drive he should enjoy the safety. If you can make trade on other exchange why not stick to them. I dont wish we have so many exchange, just few safe and efficient exchanges will take care of our needs.

I meet such naïve people everyday here. They want to build something big and great without any knowledge about the subject. This is the problem of online business. Because when somebody see the skyscraper on a street he probably understand that he can't afford building one for hisself. But when somebody see an exchange like Coinbase etc. he don't understand the difficulty and cost of such projects. He think he can register on bitcointalk and build such sites in 2 clicks from tutorials he get here. Or hire a webdeveloper who will build that for him for 30$ and he will become a CEO of new cryptocurrency exchange which will give him millions of btc profit. That makes me crazy sometimes... Why you people think that everything virtual is easy and cheap in development. You need at least 1 mil $ to launch cryptocurrency exchange and became a little player on this business place.

You should also think about jurisdiction of your exchange business since you would need to obtain special license. Otherwise you will not able to accept bank transfers or payment card payments. You need to think about legal side of your future business.

As well as the other links provided by users you should also check this thread because theirs is an out of the box solution covering well over 1000 transactions per second on the free version: https://rubykube.io/

See this thread about RubyKube too: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/rubykube-create-your-own-exchange-with-open-source-not-an-ico-5028284

Even though that's a great suggestion (or the best even), I don't think it would help because it's a fork of Peatio and If OP is finding trouble working with that, I doubt RK will be any easier for him.

It has been over a week since the OP started the thread even last logged in. If he was after this information urgently then he would have shown some sort of action.

Having said that, RubyKube is almost like an all-in-one solution out of the box so with an install guide it should be relatively easy to install but it seems maybe the OP might not be able to do it.

What should almost always be avoided is the issue of asking a third party to install the exchange code and script because any unscrupulous developer could (if they should want to) load it with malware to steal funds as well as use any server access they have to try to set-up server back door access without the project owner even knowing about.

Asking any third-party to install an exchange is a very high risk strategy. The best policy is for owners to install it themselves with an easy install guide and RubyKube is a very good place to start.

Running an exchange isn't as simple as just opening one, and raking in the money. You have to consider the legal implications which could arise, and likely get insurances, and be able to cover x amount of money just in case anything goes wrong. Especially, if you're using someone else's code, and haven't gone through it yourself. The issue with using open source code in this instance it is likely a bigger target to attackers due to the fact that there's multiple exchanges running the software opposed to just one if you use custom code.

Nearly a year ago you were claiming that:
We can build any Rental , Exchanges , Sales softwares
The question in the OP seems to water down that assertion. Software creation requires many prior steps, being one of the primal ones to create an exhaustive functional and technical requirement description, and then exploring the platform that best matches those requirements (or go for a custom build approach is nothing else seems fit).

Many projects fail for not performing these steps with the necessary dedication, only to find out later down the road that the chosen platform does not meet the functional or flexibility needs.

In any case, an Exchange is no small matter. Taking custody of other peoples crypto assets, and being a center piece to their trades needs a professional team behind, with clear knowledge and know-how of what they are doing. The doubts expressed in the OP would lead to doubts of all sort on the exchange being built itself.

If you are asking this, you should not run one. In any case, HodlHodl.com is going to open-source their exchange. Interested people may look into their source code to learn.

Got bad informations for you. Sadly if you need to ask that question, you can't do it.
Even experts in computer security with years and years of knowledge fail to make secured exchange. Almost all exchanges got hacked sooner or later and if you started learning, you could be doomed here.
Building exchange is hardest task you can do in Bitcoin world, even mining is easier and still really hard to do profesionally.

Building an exchange without the necessary knowledge is very dangerous and it's users could loose all their funds, You need to first learn how to code then take website building and management courses before moving into exchange website building, management and security courses.

You can take a look at OpenTrade, BlinkTrade, and WLOX.

If you're asking this though, you probably shouldn't be trying to build an exchange (for people to use) because you clearly don't have the necessary knowledge.
