There's no way you'll get ebay to play nice with bitcoin.

Here's what you can do.

Put some of  your stuff on bitmit, then put a flyer in your ebay packages saying you have stuff on bitmit under username bitcoinuser(whatever your bitmit name is). At the very least, this directs people away from a non-bitcoin friendly site to one that is bitcoin friendly. It also gets people that aren't techies informed about bitcoin.

I know this site,
thx

eBay removed one of my listing after I mentioned Bitcoin has a method of payment.

how exactly you announced that?

Was accepting PayPal payment plus wire and Bitcoin.

What country ebay that was?

What if you admit that:

"I may accept payment in BTC / LTC or any other cryptocoin if requested"?

looking straight forward for lawyers opinion... you bunch of...Wink

As far as being a seller, I don't see that there's any problem there.

May I assume that you received any cryptocoins for anything  what you sold on ebay?

Ebay already supports bitcoin as an option for payments on their Latin America auction site, MercadoLibre, so I don't think they would have a problem with this. As long as the seller advertises that they accept bitcoin, I don't think Ebay would have an issue with using the blockchain as proof either. It would be an especially good idea to get the seller to advertise their receiving address publically on the listing, that way you can easily prove that you sent the payment by proving that you own the sending bitcoin address.

just checked their Venezuelan site and message was like:

No hay publicaciones que coincidan con tu búsqueda.

and for full "bitcoin" query only one auction poped out...

Also, considering that Ebay has already built the infrastructure for confirming bitcoin payments on their MercadoLibre site. How long do you think they incorporate this into their main site? MercadoLibre is their testing ground... and a large one at that, MercadoLibre is quite popular, many million users.

Whoa, there are a lot of cats in this wall.
will paypal try to accuse me of terrorism?
or at least ebay of counterfeiting?

what are your thoughts?

I'm a little confused.  You're the buyer and the seller wants you to pay in BTC/LTC?

Wow - waliuable 180 days longer registered icon is maknig fun.

I have no idea what this means.

No matter if I'm requesting this kind of payment as a Seller or Buyer

As a buyer the problem you're going to run into is proving that you made the payment if the seller tells eBay you didn't.  eBay isn't going to care that you can prove it by looking at the blockchain.

As far as being a seller, I don't see that there's any problem there.
