On a serious note, if a person does not know how to improve  rank after 100+ posts, this shows how much interest he is taking in the forum rules and activities  Sad
Bounty hunters don't care about increasing the rank of forum and even don't care to read some rules.Out of his 100+ posts 96-97 are the bounty reports so do you think he is much aware about the forum rules and regulations? Some other have even more post than him and still are not aware anything of the forum as they only want to earn through these bounties.

I don't have much hope for the kind of forum member who opens threads like this.

A good system for this type of user is to open a thread about the merit system in the B&H section. It is not the most advisable if we want him to become a good user of the forum, but it usually works for them.

There are already some but they didn't care to read them and you will find many newbies and other members asking the same sort of questions hundred of times without doing any prior research but the main part is they only ask and don't do the work like making good posts. So creating another thread for them won't be any beneficial.

How can you say so ?
He is following the advice from Loyce and hence not responding on this thread  Smiley
You're right, the OP actually followed LoyceMobile's advice so he didn't have time to post anything useful other than just social media bounty reports and POA apps too.  Tongue

I mean if you are willing to review his post history.

This should contradict what you said above. The OP just wants to know how to get merit and rank up while he hasn't done much based on evidence of his posting history since November 27th or since this thread was created. So can moderators lock this topic now?

You know, the OP hasn't even responded to anything about the advice he's gotten so far, he doesn't really want to change his forum habits and this would just make advice like this pointless. I think his advice is quite useful for the OP if he wants to learn it, I hope he does well because otherwise ranking is not for him.

There's a lot of posts in beginner's help forum section. You should read first and learn what are you posting.
Not quantity grows your rank quality depends. You just create a great number of posts .

If you post are qualityfull then you will get merit. By the way you should learn first the rank system what is it how is it work.

Explore beginner section you will find your answer

I haven't looked at your posts, but just from what you wrote here my guess is that you're just an average rank-seeking, bounty-hunting shitposter who's just here to earn money.  Am I way off base there or what?

No, you really hit the spot. More than 90% of his posts are zero-value bounty-hunting shitposts, just as you guessed.

https://ninjastic.space/user/id/3383397

@Lonypink9, with such an approach you will never improve you rank here.

Yeah I have also gone through his 9 pages of post history to find if there are any quality post that deserve at least one merit that could rank him upto junior member but as expected most of them are bounty report submission and rest are 1-2 lines of post in altcoin section only.So he has not made some good efforts on his part that could help him in ranking up on forum.

@OP the best is first to learn about Bitcoin and all other knowledgeable stuff so that you could share something good with members and make post that are up to the mark and most important is exchange of knowledge among members. The other members have given you enough suggestions which you can apply into your posting style and you will notice merit coming your way.

Is it right to classify Bitcoin Discussion board as a spam-infested board?
Few time back bitcoin discussion section was having good conversations and some really interesting topics were shared and member created useful threads but after that many members start posting irrelevant threads and you could yourself check that so many useless threads are made in that section out of which many shares false information and then members in that particular thread are doing spam positing and @Pharmacist has told due to this he has put that board on ignore. It is hard to find good Post there but if you do some efforts you could find them.

3) Stay away from the spam-infested sections like Altcoin Discussion/Speculation, Bitcoin Discussion, and a few others.
Sir, if all members stay away from these sections, so who will post there?
I think those sections have no problem, there is no need to stay away from them. We cannot deny that not all threads or posts are spams in those sections. I still found some good threads and posts although it is in altcoins discussion or bitcoin discussion. I believe if we make quality posts, it can have a chance to be merited, whatever the section is. I am sorry if I have a different thought.

Pay more attention to post than you post on the forum. You gain more knowledge. Discover something by yourself or help others.Follow the rules of merit.
Quote
Informative post
Relevant to the topic
Helpful post
Sometimes humorous post.

Mostly those kind of post are meritable so maybe contribute good here and you get the merits from the user who like your post. Also don't focus on altcoin section since that section mostly avoided by merit giver due to the spams happening on that section

You can post on these few topics and you will get merit.

I doubt he will do that. As isaac_clarke22 mentioned, it's not the first time the OP has asked the same question. But he does not bother to read or accept the advice he was given. He is obviously only hunting in the dark here. What he does not realize is that these vain efforts will only harm his account.
If that's true, then I don't think people should bother giving him much advice. This will just be a waste of time.

i found out that op is only interested to earn merit that will lead him or her to ascertain another level of the forum and is not interested to read and ask questions through the thread dropped, i think other people usually follow their up for more understanding of the community, but when looking at op is very clear is not interested to respond to any one opinion.
The uncooperative OP will only hurt him, so it doesn't matter because maybe people will ignore him too. If someone is interested in changing their behavior for the better then I'm sure they will change their posting pattern too. It just made me reminisce about my past before Hero and Legendary were achieved.

There is something interesting about your topic, if it is related to your post history from page (1) to page (9) currently.

There are some things you need to do and you leave, to meet your account rankings.
1. Leave a Bounty report post, such as twitter, facebook, etc.
2. Try to make a post that is valuable and insightful or make a post that other people enjoy reading and meaningful.
3. Create the best topic/post now, I will give you sMerit, at least you can rank up jr.member.

Do what I say first, then I will tell the others and so on.

Haven't done a check on him though, maybe he @Op isn't doing enough and doing bounty stuff's like some have said, ain't support of him though.
When you see a newbie coming up, advice and guidance should be given rather than blasting him, I'll feel depressed if I get such reactions from folks here.
But,I want to say a big time for your response here, thanks for this,it's like a young lad playing football, not doing the right move, but everyone keeps yelling at him, then comes the pep Guardiola to give him directions.

Maybe he is chasing funds and money, maybe he's not into any bounty, he doesn't have a proper understand of how it goes down here, but similar questions might Pop up and all want demands is a cool response, help and guidance.
Peace.

I've seen a few users consciously kick themselves out of a high paying campaign. The most recent is CryptopreneurBrainboss and Nutildah from the Best_Change signature campaign. A few others too have chosen to wear there own signature in contrast to joining any campaign.
AFAIK, they have different issues and reasons why they are leaving on the Best Change campaign.
Thinking that it's not just here that our world revolves, in real life, we have different priorities than here and that's why most of us can't able to give our precious time not like before when we're actively contributing a lot here in the forum. (not all of them)

Before ain't thinking about how to rank up but instead, put an effort into every thread that you've posted (it's about an hour before I can create a post), you can interact with more threads once you've already been knowledgeable enough.  Don't think about how to improve rank, think first about how to gain knowledge, and then the last thing rank up isn't a barrier at all.

@OP, just prove yourself that you are deserving to rank up and not asking or begging merit, our merit sources aren't blind, they know which members are actively contributing to the forum and they most likely look at your post history.  The first comment on this thread was right, (read more, post less).

What is rank, activities and merit to anyone aside the forum? I'm sure the answer to that is pretty much nothing but, the knowledge, ideas and values one can learn/cultivate here could be all through life. Yeah, merits and ranks helps to project your user and helps you earn a few bucks but, is that all to it... you definitely need more and only knowledge could 9ffer you that. I've seen a few users consciously kick themselves out of a high paying campaign. The most recent is CryptopreneurBrainboss and Nutildah from the Best_Change signature campaign. A few others too have chosen to wear there own signature in contrast to joining any campaign.

In essence, the forum goes beyond earning but still offers it as an incentive to active members. If you @OP redirect your energy towards doing some work on yourself through learning and contributing useful information, you would swim in both merits, ranks and earnings. I quickly checked out your profile but its filled with POA which defines how you got your activities and I say to you, that's a minus, a set back as you now see it. Put in the work by learning and your sure to see results as you contribute valid information.

your post counts and high activity count doesn't equate to you ranking up, merit does. posting bounty reports won't increase your rank. if you want to earn merit start joining discussions, reading, posting helpful information, etc... merit was implemented to stop something like this. so, if you want to rank you better put some effort into what you post.

I think you should first ask yourself what you want to do on this forum.
If your goal is to make some fast money through bounty campaigns then you don't really need a higher forum rank.
If your goal is to learn something about crypto and then share your knowledge and experience with others then I suggest you first show how you can contribute to the community on this forum.
If you become a person who is willing to learn and help others, then the members of this community will be grateful and reward you with merits.
If it turns out that you are here solely for personal gain, I don’t think you can expect anyone to reward you for such an attitude and allow you to progress on this forum.
It’s about a simple life principle that you can’t expect to get something if you haven’t given anything in return.

Have you even bothered reading my reply yesterday, OP? I know it was a locked thread already, but I kinda hoped you still read my advice to you and changed your ways, instead of creating this thread.

If you can't even do that, let alone reading someone else's reply, there is pretty much no hope for your improvement. I checked your post history once again as of writing this, and you just continued to pursuing bounties.

I haven't looked at your posts, but just from what you wrote here my guess is that you're just an average rank-seeking, bounty-hunting shitposter who's just here to earn money.  Am I way off base there or what?
No need to look into it, as it was exactly as you described. I barely saw any non-bounty related posts.

Op already asked this question here and got a response but most likely didn't go back to the post and now they're asking the same question in their own thread which they most likely would not come back to, but return to the bounty spamming.

For some other low ranked member who may come across this thread, just put in an effort;
• Make an effort to research on what you post,
• Make an effort to read other replies before posting and to read the replies when you make a thread,
• Make an effort to search around the forum before making a post.
Someone reading your post can determine which was made with some effort and which is just chunked out.

The best way are
Merit is designed by theymos to mark and award good posts so you must be a useful member on the forum via your posts in order to get merit. New members join the forum daily and if you are more knowledgeable than newbies, you can help them. Hence, sooner or later, you will be awarded with merit.

My question to you would be why do you want to improve your rank?  Do you have a project you're working on and you want to appear more legitimate before launching?  Do you feel you've been in crypto so long and gathered enough knowledge and experience to where you are more knowledgeable than your rank suggests?  Do you not value proper capitalization or take the time to make sure your posts are readable and appear educated?

As others have speculated, it appears you just want to join a signature campaign to spam for free money.  I don't blame you, that does seem to be one of the more popular uses of this site these days, but you likely won't find help from others on achieving that goal as it ultimately degrades the forum experience for everyone else with more spam.

Basically improvement is base on your ability to be creative and also to observe the methods of posting making according to your ability to comprehend from a board that are suit to you via understanding what the headlines of a thread is narrating about, to be sincere your main function to get uplift lies on your hands,

making a proper research of cryptocurrency through online reading and also understanding properly will be of helping hands to revive you from been adamant of securing or achieving another height, just change the method of your posting pattern and make a quality post's, definitely you will be shifted from newbies to jr member rank.

Post less, read more.
Well yeah, that's definitely what he should be doing, but that's not exactly going to help him rank up.

OP, you've been a member of the forum for about 2 months, and in that time you've made 159 posts, which is roughly 2.7 posts/day.  If you consider the fact that the vast majority of posts don't earn a single merit (even some really good ones), it shouldn't come as a surprise that you haven't earned any yourself.

There are three factors I can see as far as earning merits and ranking up:
1) Make quality posts.  I can't stress the quality part enough, because a merit-worthy post has to stand out against all the other crap on this forum.  Related to that, quantity of words does not equate with post quality.

2) Post frequently enough such that your odds are better of having a post merited, because as I mentioned above, you aren't making that many posts and obviously they either aren't getting noticed or aren't good enough to earn merits.

3) Stay away from the spam-infested sections like Altcoin Discussion/Speculation, Bitcoin Discussion, and a few others.  At least don't keep your hopes up for earning merits if you post in those sections, because it's pretty much guaranteed whatever you write won't be read and will be buried under an avalanche of shitposts within seconds of you hitting the post button.

I haven't looked at your posts, but just from what you wrote here my guess is that you're just an average rank-seeking, bounty-hunting shitposter who's just here to earn money.  Am I way off base there or what?

The best way to get or earn merit is to stop asking how to improve rank in meta or in beginners and help and start doing what LoyceMobile said and you will get or earn merits. I would say you'll get 100+ merit if you have started reading, learning and post less. Tame Shamm as an example. He earn merits about 100+ within 7 months for reading and learning from mistakes as I have seen this forum member ranked up to full member. Focusing on bounty campaigns won't help if that's what you came for.

Why don't you start reading the rules/info threads? I mean you did 150 posts here on Bitcointalk and still have absolutely no clue how the forum works. In your post history I see almost only bounty reports and one-liners. I'm pretty sure you'll never rank up unless you're willing to put more time into your posts here on the forum.

If you're only here for bounty campaigns, I have bad news for you. It is likely that you will remain a newbie forever.

OP, If you care about rank, then from now on spend more of your time reading more about bitcoin, its innovation and share your thought on it. I know it's not the fastest way but if you manage to understand it better then there are other benefits that you can feel even more than rank and merit.

Just a little advice for you from me on how it should grow in this forum. First, don't spend a lot of time on bounties because in the end you will only regret it when the pay you get is not worth your effort. I had an experience like yours before, wasting time on bounty that didn't benefit me at all before I decided to stop doing it. You may need to read it here as a start to motivate and encourage a change in your current mindset. Second, if you can see that other people can do it well, then you can do it like them. Remember the rule, once this merit system is implemented then ranking is for those who care about the quality of post.

Rank depends on you and your intention of joining his forum. It seems your intention of joining this forum wasn't to contribute here. Rather than spam in bounty campaign was your intention which is a solid reason for your newbie rank. Just think differently and contribute to the forum, follow those who contribute as well. There are no alternatives to rank up unless you spend more time to read and change your posting behavior.

As I observe in your post history,  you are focusing in bounty campaigns which is you cannot recieve merits in that way.
If you want to rank up just follow what stated above by our forum mate LoyceV read more and gathered more knowledge then if you want merit you must create a helpful threads/reply and keep contributing here in forum.

You have a lot of posts in the altcoin section and that area is often seen as quite spammy.

In order to rank up you need to earn some merits but you'll have to do that by looking round the forum and finding ways you can interact constructively with topics and discussions. I wouldn't get too worried about ranking up though, just enjoy what you're doing here.

Merit & new rank requirements. Not only activity counts towards ranking.

Make sure you are acquainted with the forum rules

Be passionate about bitcoin, use it and be posting about your experience here, including about crypto scam avoidance, economy or any other boards you find interesting.

Get acquainted to this forum and have constructive posts. Studying how good posters (the ones that are getting merit) are posting.
