Actually my goals are much more modest - just keeping an ASIC store up and running (the payment will be handled by coinbase or bips anyhow).

I do want to take into account a possible DDos attack (you never know who you might get angry these days), but I presume that with CloudFlare I should be fine?

What you would use - AWS or VPS (DO or Linode, who appear go give a much better web site response times)?

How actually it's safe to use AWS for BTC related hosting? While AWS gives awesome ease of use, I'm worried about them having the ability to shutdown the project any moment, and actually being inclined to do so (Wiki-leaks for example)?

Any thoughts on the matter?

Well if you do something illegal the government can force them to do anything. That said it should be pretty safe. Encrypt your data and you should be fine. If you are handling millions of dollars in customer funds- then you should host everything yourself. And be competent.

I guess it depends on what you're planning to do there. Encrypt anything you put there for sure, I wouldn't store a wallet online though.

If you're thinking about mining using AWS or DaaS solutions, do some research as you won't get an ROI.

Anyone can advise?

Also, what regarding VPS providers, such as DO or Linode?

Thanks.
