I know MP is reversible, and only ever accept it when it is proven to be paid in cash. I have heard some extreme cases of even cash ones being reversed. I usually go by someones reputation and the length of their trading history. I am still trying to determine the actual length of time before a moneypak purchase can no longer be disputed.
I think 60 days should be a safe bet, and after that the possibility of a reversal happening is very less.
Rule of thumb (or from what I've heard from people doing MP deals last time when I held escrow) is the 30-45-60 day rule. It's kinda like the confirmations for bitcoin - think of 30 as 1 confs and so on. 180 days for the extremely paranoid.
