Have you guys ever think to how long is bitcoin will survive in this world ? Well, I mean is there anything that can make bitcoin bankrupt or low price, then possibly will make bitcoiners doesn't want to invest anymore. And also is there any solution to avoid those thing. Just wonder to know.

Bitcoin will survive as long as there are miners and also the important medium of bitcoin the internet, also the government if the government step into bitcoin and control bitcoin or banned this thing forever. Bitcoin also has a limitation but ask your self how long you will be into bitcoin?

I'm not sure but I think, it will be functioning for the next 10 years. No one really knows until when will Bitcoin exist but surely, as years are passing by, Bitcoin is becoming more successful and growing in all aspects. Its market value is getting more expensive making its community big, and infact, other investors are moving to Bitcoin that makes the demand high. So maybe, it won't end less than 20 years from now.

when the world war 3 breaks out and the internet turned off, Bitcoin would have a very low value or even die.
because of decreasing in user will result in less demand.
as long as people use Bitcoin then Bitcoin will still be alive, long live Bitcoin!

In my opinion Bitcoin is not only survive it should rule the world. As far as the peoples believe on technology and digital currency (crypto currency) Bitcoin will be alive. Day by day demand of Bitcoin is increased and rate of its price grow up. It should be alive until people’s interest in online transactions, using in the technology like internet, online shopping etc.

Previously I was sure bitcoin would survive for a very long time, but after I saw this very high bitcoin price, I was worried that there would be many countries that resisted and bitcoin because the price is unreasonable because it is so high. I'm also very happy with bitcoin prices right now, but will it bring a good impact to bitcoin? If the government can see bitcoin in the positive side, then bitcoin prices will now boost the popularity of bitcoin, so hopefully. I hope bitcoin will survive for a very long time.

There are some questions which cannot be answered with 100 percent accuracy and this question is one of those questions. People's opinions about the survivability of bitcoin changes with situations. As of now people think bitcoin has a long way to go. Then comes the time when China banned ICO'S and Jamie opposed bitcoin some people thought the end is near. So actually telling about how long can a particular thing can survive is pretty difficult.

March 2017 came in like a lion for Bitcoin as, for the first time ever, one Bitcoin sold for more than one ounce ofAs it enters its ninth year,  the future looks very bright for an idea that many have spent the previous eight years scoffing at and predicting the imminent demise of. gold.
To survive and thrive over the long term, a cryptocurrency is going to have to be used as a medium of exchange by regular people buying regular things at regular stores. This means that transactions have to be confirmed quickly and that the fees involved have to be attractive versus PayPal and credit cards.

Recently, transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain have slowed waaaaaaaay down for people who are unwilling to pay fairly high “miner fees.” The (as non-technical as possible) explanation of that term:

Bitcoin is created (“mined”) by people (“miners”) who run computer software that keeps track of Bitcoin transactions (“updates the blockchain ledger”). The miners are rewarded with a bit of the newly created Bitcoin and with miner fees.

As more and more people use Bitcoin, more and more computer power is required to update the blockchain ledger. Transactions with the minimum fees included go to the back of the line and are taking longer and longer to process.

If this isn’t fixed, Bitcoin will become nothing more than a store of value for people who move it around in quantities big enough to justify large fees and long waits. If that happens, the value of Bitcoin will plummet back toward a famous early transaction in which someone paid 10,000 Bitcoins for two pizzas. No customer or shopkeeper is going to pay a dollar in fees and wait 30 hours for confirmation to buy or sell a can of cola.

Two proposals for improving the system, “Bitcoin Unlimited” and “Segregated Witness,” are under consideration by the Bitcoin developer and miner communities.  I’m not the guy to ask about the technical virtues of each proposal, but my sense is that Roger Ver, the main evangelist for Bitcoin Unlimited, has a better understanding of what needs to happen and why. That is, he sees that small, fast, low-fee transactions are the future of cryptocurrency.

If Bitcoin developers and miners don’t get that fact through their heads, and soon, cryptocurrency as such won’t die — but Bitcoin will cease to be people’s cryptocurrency of choice.

I hope that bitcoin will last longer, as I know in the years to come, the more and more new ones will work because of the computer because I know it will make it more likely that bitcoin, I believe not it will disappear.

Only when the world returns to the age of information is not available. So there will be no centralized bitcoin. I don't think that's possible. The world in the future should be a unified world. The concept of the state will disappear, and the paper money will disappear

I would say that Bitcoin will survive until there is a strong community behind it to support it actively and of course a team of flexible core developers to keep software up to date to deal with the real-time issues.

To be honest, I don't see any external threat for the Bitcoin that could destroy this network. Governments are supporting Bitcoin on legal grounds as far as it is being used for legal activities. Alt-coins might succeed in the long run but there won't be any issue when it comes to the survival of the Bitcoin.

Based on the trending and popularity of bitcoin i think it can last for 30-50 years it depends also to the people who invested in bitcoin. The only thing that it can make it bankrupt or no value if the holders would massive dump the coins and never invested on it.

And it is just starting to get the eye of the people.
Up until now many of them dont know it or still prefers the traditional type which is plain cash.
I dont blame them. You cant use bitcoin outside. It is just an asset now. You will have to go to Japan to maximize the usage.

There is no such thing as "bankrupt" in bitcoin. Bitcoin may lose its value, and the price may drop down extremely low, but chances are very low, unless the whole world bans bitcoin. But if everything remains stable, the price will keep on going up. The total coin supply is limited, but the demand for bitcoin will keep on increasing day by day as new investors starts to join causing the price to go up. Just simple economics.

It's hard to predict but base on what I had seen, bitcoin will survive as long as people investors, dealers, etc. are not tired of holding or using bitcoin. Bitcoin today is so popular specially on social network so I guess everyone here in this forum still believe that bitcoin will last for more years. As long as many people believe in it, as long as people worked hard on it, then I should think it will last long.

Of course that also came to mind. And I think the answer will always depend on us. How long can we make btc survive and how long are we gonna keep on supporting it. That is the answer. For as long as there are people like us who will always be loyal and support btc the chances of it surviving and thriving is great. There's no way btc investors/hodlers will cease investing in it because it just keeps on giving us good profit that's why people are confident with btc.

I think, no one can determine how long exactly Bitcoin will exist. There are lots of possible thing that may happen. I think the only way that will make Bitcoin down for a long period of time is if there'll be another coin that will be better than Bitcoin in all aspects. It will affect Bitcoin negatively since it is possible that the demand it is getting from the market might be moved to that certain coin, making its value to fall. Also its users might move to that coin if and only if, a coin such that, will exist.

bitcoin will survive if more and more people are getting to know and start investing in it and will die if people start not interested in bitcoin, so the future of bitcoin is in everyone.

I think bitcoin will survive for long time. Although it has many ups and down, bitcoin still there surviving. I don't think so that bitcoins' value would go back on its original value if ever it happens all altcoins would die too.
