We already had a gox-like "glitch" in their trading engine, multiple reports about BTC withdrawls that take more than 1-2 hours to proceed. We have the Goxxish premium(30-60$).
My FIAT withdrawls took 12 days to complete a few days ago, the last time i tried it(3-4 months ago) it never took more than 1-2 days.

I have best luck by mule caravan.. takes about 3 weeks but not much paperwork   Grin

Lol, that explains a bit. Funny how a bitcoin economy is a mixture of ultra modern with things like Gox's "switching to manual processing withdrawals to make things faster", that is to last only couple of weeks...

I am still intrigued while the spread become so substantial in the last couple days - and I cannot stop thinking that it looks like new Gox, although I admit it is rather paranoid. Only time will tell, but much less inclined to send my fiat to Bitstamp Sad

Good luck getting CNY into USD....

What do you mean? And the spread was reaching about 10% of the price at times - surely a cost of exchanging CNY to USD cannot be that bad?

Although I see your point, one would loose a bit moving CNY -> USD.

On the other hand, Huobi and Bitstamp prices used to be very similar - so that effect seemed not to matter much just a couple days ago?

Bump ... spread is even >$50 now ... any thoughts?

There is only one explanation. Insider trading based on Stamp's intention to disable fiat withdrawals.

Lol, it does look a bit like Mt Gox situation while ago - but Bistamp was supposed to be the good one, trustworthy and honorable, blah, blah, blah Wink

Currently, Bitstamp is $46 higher, couple days ago there was sustained difference between them of about $26. Clearly, this is much more than Bitstamp trading fees so I thought perhaps it is the time barrier that allows such discrepancies to sustain. Any thoughts?
