You should consider using GPU for mining.

Yea once you hit the thresh hold, slush pay outs pretty much instantly. I have it set to notify me by email, and generally see the confirmed transaction about 10 minutes later, though many times I don't bother to even check. The email confirmation is enough for me.

 Sad

Time to look around for a new graphics card.

Yeah at that hash rate by the time you've found a share often a new block will have been found and your work will get rejected. Turning the computer off would make you more money heh.

Hmm.. How do I know that I'm connected?

The biggest think I have learned about both bitcoins and bitcoin mining is you need tons of patience.

I agree!! Well, thanks for the advice.

Hmm.. How do I know that I'm connected?

If you see the Mhs # on the lower right then I think you are connected, especially if it floats around a bit. EG: mine goes anywhere from 17.7 to 18.0 and If I regen stuff that takes video it will dip as low as 4.0 or thereabouts for a few seconds.

The biggest thing I have learned about both bitcoins and bitcoin mining is you need tons of patience.

Good luck, especially on obtaining a better GC. 8^)

Okay, so I have another question. Should I be seeing a change in the estimated reward? I've been mining about half the day and it's still at 0.00000000 BTC.

It's entirely possible that your system is so slow as to not be actually helping the effort.

Also, there are many times when a round or two goes by where I contributed nothing and got nothing.

Lastly you are sure you are connected most of the time? There were many times, especially in my first few days of fiddling around, when I was not properly connected.

My test system only puts out about 17Mhs and slush pays about every one and one third days (1 1/3). I think you will be looking at a week to 10 days.

Agreed, it is all proportional to the solve rate and your personal contribution.

at only 1.5MHash/s will take almost 10 days to reach 0.01 bitcoins at current difficulties. what hardware is that?

The solved blocks must be confirmed by 100 other users/clients/whatever, only then will you get your coins. Wink

I am not seeing money going into the website.  Huh

as long as you are seeing money going into the website you should be good to go it'll automatically send once you reach the threshold.
Maybe a day or two at 1.5 Mh/s

If I have one worker with a rate of 1.5 Mhash/sec pooling with Slush, with a send threshold of .01, about how long should I expect to wait for my first reward?

Also, just to confirm, as long as my worker is connected, is there anything else that I need to do, or is it all set?
