Bitcoin transaction fee is not fixed it is variable. Bitcoin transaction fees are subject to change on a case-by-case basis.
Bitcoin transaction fees can change over the course of weeks or months. We generally know that when there are more transactions in Bitcoin, the transaction fee of Bitcoin usually increases a lot. Maybe now that Bitcoin's transactions have increased so much that it has an impact on its transaction fees.
But when the bitcoin transaction fee increases a lot, that temporary period becomes very difficult for us because we cannot do any bitcoin transaction during this temporary period. Because the amount of Bitcoin we need to transact becomes much higher than the transaction. Hope this problem will be solved soon.

That is so crazy with a such transaction fees, which even you won and want to make a withdrawal, in this gamble platform, the fees we still be high, which is the only team of the sites program can only answer the question on how long the high transaction fees will last.

i've been watching the mempool for few days, and i've seen the high priority to be at around 50sat and now it is at 62sat/vB. so this is not bad at all after last week's congestion getting as high as 200-300sat/vB just to confirm the tx after few hours.
check the mempool site - https://mempool.space/, and you will know if you are at the peak or not.
One thing I noticed was that the transaction free was overrated for just a few days. May be transaction fee has not increased so much before I don't know for sure but this is the first time I have seen this much transaction free increase in bitcoin network. But as long as the increase in transaction fees has been the biggest problem for Bitcoin investors. I also used to see from mmipool but it has reverted back to its previous position and now free is much less. At the moment I can see that the pressure on Bitcoin Transaction Free Blocks has decreased a lot. And right now transaction 24-29 sat/vB today transaction fee seems a bit less  than yesterday but it is temporary and will not take time to recover.

also, some casinos are shouldering the withdrawal fee as they have fixed fees. maybe, you are playing on a site where they have dynamic fees according to the current mempool activity.

As a gambler, I'm a bit worried if this trend will continue because I have some fraction of bitcoin that I'd like to use for gambling, especially for the NBA playoffs. So for my fellow gamblers, or those who really need to transact with their bitcoin, what are the best things to do now in order to save from fees and avoid having our transactions stay unconfirmed for too long?
All gamblers are in the same boat as you right now. As for the NBA playoffs, it depends on the game you want to bet on. If it falls on a weekend, it may be helpful to do the transactions at night or even during the weekend when there is less congestion. Transactions will be less faster than if done during the day. However, if you cannot wait, try other alternative coins.

I think using fiat for the meantime helps a little when you're chasing for a game that you really love to place a bet on. Of course you're not gonna use the crypto casino for the meantime. It's just too risky to force your transactions with higher fees and then you'll end up in a lossing bet. That's like lossing more money because of the transaction fees.
A few altcoins would also suffice.
Mempool is now a little less congested and it's gradually going back to normal.

We don't know what will happen to Bitcoin fee in future but I promise you guys, if Ordinals go parabolic in 2025 there won't any room for small time Bitcoin investors, you will.be paying over a $100 for a single BTC transaction, let's hope that Ordinals wont do good in the near future, or else many people are going to get pissed off and leave Bitcoin, maybe Ordinals will be the Bitcoin killer for the first time in Bitcoin history, this is so bad and many people pretend that everything is fine, it's not.

The majority has no clue what to do with that so it is good that they pretend that everything is fine. As for those ones who understand something about the core, about the layer 2 and sidechain decisions, they see what happened and they are searching for a solution. There is also an idea to use LN for Ordinals what should lower the negative effect of mempool overflow. Of course we know there are problems caused fee growing recently and we understand that they can become bigger, but solving these problems will take time and there could be multiple direct and indirect measures on the path to that goal.

As I check the mempool now, Bitcoin fees seem to have cooled down with a medium-priority transaction costing around 50 sat/vB. This is relatively low compared to the past few days. However, it's important to note that this may not last and the network could become congested with transactions causing fees to skyrocket once again

I remember when Bitcoin's fees reached $32 during the peak of its price and that was insane. However, the fees eventually decreased along with the price of Bitcoin.

As for the future, it's hard to predict but we hope that a solution will be found to control fees so that we don't end up paying small amounts of Bitcoin with high fees of $100 or more, which would be a problem. The Lightning Network could be a potential solution, but only time will tell.

That were crazy times, high btc prize and high fees, the mempool in red for a while. Nobody wants that back, except the high btc prize of course.

Actually right now it's filling up a bit again but I am also happy this fee drama seems finally over, at least for now.

Had several transactions the were stuck for over a week and now it's all gone through. Curious to see what happens in the next days. Hopefully this doesn't happen again so soon since some people here (from not so lucky countries) actually rely on the btc they earn from the signature campaigns. Can't imagine how they feel then their "salary" doesn't get any confirmation for such a long time.

Real scaling? That would mean finding a way to make data that has to be processed by each node smaller and smaller, and therefore making what the network requires from full nodes lower and lower.
Seems impossible but we dont knownin the future if someone can able to configure such tech for this to work. But I doubt the scenario wouldnt slow down for months as Social media keeps getting attention on these ordinals. The more people expose to this then many more would be interested to waste high gas fees just to earn a fraction of potential profits from high floor prices on dapps supporting the ordinals. More pain for bitcoin users small or big people.

As a gambler I think we should look for better options for deposits/withdrawals until the mempool is not congested. Although as we can see right now, it seems that it has been settling down a bit as the whole ordinal inscriptions and Brc-20 fad might died down a bit.
It should be normal again in the next few weeks, just wait for the time. For now, as some people said that it is better to use altcoins when Bitcoin transfer fee is still high. There are some altcoins that have smaller transfer fees, just utilize them for now.

We can't predict exactly how long these high fees will last, but I think this BTC has experienced similar situations in the past and has eventually come out on the other side. The same goes for the price of BTC you cannot predict it in the market situation. But as far as I remember, it could be less than a week, look at now the mempool.space, the fee was falling down.
Of course, it is difficult to know how long this happens.
However, this high fee problem should be fixed. It will be a serious obstacle for Bitcoin adoption if it won't get a solution.

We already experienced many times about high transfer fees, it won't last a very long time.

I also think the high fee will resolve itself when people are done with the NFT hype.
Well, NFT hype started last year yet it's still doing it things today. So far in the past few days bitcoin tx reduced from 400k to now 300k which is a good sign but not yet good.

So just check the mempool before you send your transaction so you know how much you need to put as a fee to make it thru.
That's why it's better to use a better/advance wallet for where a vb/sat is shown, fees are dynamic and can be customized manually by vb/sat so the user have fully control of fees it wants to use.

The problem is that we don't really know how long this high transaction fee is going to take but we all know that yhisnhad happened before we should be affirmative that this will reduce in no time. The high network fee in the Bitcoin network had been making a lit of traders and investors that always run Bitcoin transaction on a daily basis to start having a rethink of what could be an alternative for this high fee network. So exchanges had stopped running Bitcoin transaction just because of this high fee issues which I am certain that it will end soon.
^Definitely right and that is the right answer.

Yes, checking today, the fees even for high priority has gone down so much already.
So just check the mempool before you send your transaction so you know how much you need to put as a fee to make it thru.
As we are just relying from these miners, we can only watch the mempool to see where we are now in terms of tx fees.
For now, it is better than the past few days. Hope we will go back again to the usual fees in the coming days.

As for the solution, it's up to the core dev to patch the exploit on taproot. There has been noises lately, this has been seen before though, before it turn ugly as what we have seen. So we shall see, everyone seems to be divided, but personally I'm against this ordinals or inscriptions attacking bitcoin.

I haven't read the news yet, but it's been several days since the transaction fee has been very high. I checked on https://mempool.emzy.de/ and this is what I see now.

I was suprised seeing transaction fee very high like that, it really affected lots of people because lot's of people's transaction was delayed for hours and even day's. The transaction fee is going back to normal now. The high transaction fee made most signature managers pay high gas fee just for them to process signature participants payment.

I think it will affect lot's of gamblers but am sure gamblers will definitely look for a way to deposit money to their gambling site, most of them might switch from depositing bitcoin to altcoins, i think that's the only solution currently and if you really want to deposit bitcoin, then you should be able to spend high transaction fee or your transaction will be delayed. But if you are having bitcoin in your gambling site already, I think it's better you just leave it their, and keep on gambling with it.
Honestly, it did really make out that effect on me on which i cant able to pull through or able to make my weekly transactions because of that huge fees which i cant really that afford on using up $20+ or more on moving a transaction and since i do make some minimal amount kind of transfer then it would really be a huge slice into that amount on which i could say that it doesnt have make sense on doing so.

The fees is moving around 400-600 sats per byte on maximum which it do plays around 5-20 bucks per transaction or way more. I didnt see up the max fee on that particular time considering that it is really
decreasing now as of this moment.
It do really sucks if ever this would happen again but i wont really be that get in shocked if this one would be happening in bull run where transactions would be spamming or clooged into the network.
If you are that someone who does have the money or wont bother on paying up some fees  then it wont really be that much of a bothersome but if you are really just like some average
joe like me on which 20 bucks is important then it is really just that a bad thing to make some tx on this particular time. Its better to wait until things turns out to be smooth
and fine once again.

It will go lower. Demand has ALWAYS been variable, and users will either start waiting for cheaper fees to save their coins or simply run out of coins first if they continue paying for high fees.

 Cool

I also think the high fee will resolve itself when people are done with the NFT hype.

High fees might also be a blessing. It forces people with paper-hands to HODL while demand for Bitcoin goes higher. Who would pay exorbitant fee-rates unless there was high demand for block space. High demand for block space = high demand for Bitcoin to pay for fees = eventually higher price for Bitcoin.

Or not?  People might probably find an alternative if the transaction fee is not fixed soon.

Some people are calling it an "attack"? Thank the "attackers" for making Bitcoin more valuable from an economic perspective.

I can say I have a different view.  If the attacker is successful then it does not make Bitcoin any more valuable but rather it proves that Bitcoin has weaknesses that can be exploited.  With that situation, it will never make Bitcoin or any other technology more valuable.

Indeed good or bad news about bitcoin transaction process delay still dilemma for us exactly holding bitcoin in hardware wallet and not in exchange wallet, how to sell it due transaction delay more than few hours, my last transaction failed because lower fees sending and I need waiting when back to normal again.
The fees aren't down, they're are still very high. I wanted to send some Bitcoin myself to exchange but the fees isn't letting me do it because I don't see any reason to spend that much amount of  money on just fees when I'm not sending millions of dollars, it's just $100.

As people begin to seek other means to transact with Bitcoin the network is gradually becoming less congested and the price going down. I read a news from Coindesk that discussed how Africans are massively using the Lightning Network and stablecoins because of this issue. I don't think anybody that worked hard to earn his coin will be willing to pay such transaction fees. The average Bitcoin transaction fee as of yesterday was 20.34 but today it has moved down 14.05. Yeah, it is not close to the lesser price of 1.957 it was by this time last year but it is gradually going down. It might be beneficial to miners that experienced so many financial challenges that even led to the bankruptcy of reputable mining firms like Core Scientific (CORZ) and Compute North, but it is not good for the community. Nobody knows how long these high fees will last but, certainly, it won't be long.

That's very sad, when I first heard of the high cost of transaction on the Bitcoin blockchain, my first thought was that interest has started returning to Bitcoin and more users are now using the network therefore it'll affect the price very soon but after reading and understanding the real reason behind the high fees, it was just sad that this will be happening at this time.

Im curious if this is really an attack like to fud on bitcoin but rather than an additional application of bitcoin through ordinals which is found by someone. However the utlity of those ordinals somehow vague and only for trading through their dapps. Unless someone could step up and make it more useful instead of an expensive jpeg.

The creation of Ordinals itself, and as is constructed by Casey Rodarmor, isn't an attack. The ability to store data somewhere in the Taproot input script was always there, also the same during pre-Taproot. There was always an ability to store data onchain. But what Ordinals could be, is an attack vector.

Quote

Well still early maybe some satoshi like genius could fix the high rate fees and include those ordinals on bitcoin chain without affecting. I believe someone will solve this if not now maybe for quite sometime.

I suggest you should hold on, at least for a week or more, if it is not urgent, I have also halted my transactions for now to watch the transaction fees, it has decreased to $4 which I feel it's quite reasonable for me. With the current downtrend we are witnessing, it may likely decrease even further.

We don't have a choice but to do that since its really painful to transact using bitcoin know since the fee is so high so much better to hold especially if your funds is on your personal wallet. But if you have a balance on your exchange account then we can just simply exchange this to other alts and pick those coin which have less fee since this is the most convenient option we could choose and I believe many already did this to avoid such issues.

I think it is better not to trade bitcoin now.  If someone is trading bitcoins now bitcoin fees may also increase.

Please don't just repeat what everyone says again and again. Check for yourself https://mempool.space/de/ . The fees are again at a pretty low level and you can send transactions for a reasonable price again.

I think I heard that the development team already planned an implementation of some new protocols to fix this issue, so it should not occur again.

Thats a positive perspective. However its like being force to hold due to the fees, but bitcoin circulation have been halt for people who dont want to spenf some fees too. Yes it could boost price since many wouldnt not spend for high fees and instead wait for it to decrease. Also a smart move but this will categorize people as holder or investors. Bitcoin is nice to be used if possible in transacting peer to peer like remittance can send easily.

Seems Bitcoin transaction is not back to normal and delay more than two until three hours later depend on fees transaction, could be positive impact with bitcoin transaction delay will make many people keep holding their bitcoin assets. Since last two weeks not any progress yet when Bitcoin transaction sending will back to normal and small fund not have to pay higher fees for sending Bitcoin.

Nobody knows the time when this high fee rate will come down, the fee issue is affecting everyone in all ramifications of life. I made a transaction since on Monday but till now it has not confirmed, it is still unconfirmed and that made me to borrowed from someone yesterday to solve some expenses and now I am to pay back that loan with interest. Really this high fee is affecting me badly. And concerning the gambling withdrawal. As for now it will be very difficult to withdraw and it is not good to keep funds in the gambling account because gambling sites have different issue. So it is better to move the coins from the site to you personal wallet, and keep only the ones that are meant to play gambling and not all the wins. The stories of gambling sites are something else in some time. If they said your can't withdraw because of KYC then another problem will gashout.

I believe that fees will gradually decrease from now on, but the speed at which this happens depends on people's behaviors imo.

That's correct, the high priority fee is currently only $4.06, which is a significant decrease from the day I posted this thread, where it was over $20.

I hope this downtrend continues, as some people may be willing to wait for longer confirmation times, but high fees can be difficult to tolerate.
It is getting better now, it fell below 90sats/byte for the last few hours along with the number of unconfirmed transaction which is around 350K that is a good sign but still it has to go down and I see that developers may work something to eliminate these ordinals from bitcoin mempool so if that happens then everything will be back to normal like 1 or 2 sats is enough for transaction to be included in the next block.

Avoid doing any transactions at the moment with Bitcoin. The transaction fee fluctuations are so high that it is very hard for your transaction to reach on time. This congestion might not go away soon; it might remain for more weeks. Bitcoin transactions getting stuck for a couple of days is quite common at the moment. If possible, use altcoins for placing bets or use lightning network if the casino supports it.

Why not just switch off Bitcoin deposits for few weeks? Casinos easily accept other cryptocurrencies with hearth welcome. Of course it will harm their reputation, but it will be in gambler favor after all. Gambler would win (save on fees) from that. Imo, high fees isnt a huge problem for gamblers. A gambler will find a way to make a deposit anyway.

According to https://mempool.emzy.de/ I was wrong when said that high transaction fees will last for long. They already start to decrease greatly. It looks that in a month we would forget about those high fees. In 2 days transaction fees have decreased almost 3 times.
I think it would be a good idea to switch from using BTC to other alts when withdrawing money. This could help to gradually decrease fees over time. People should avoid sending too many transactions using Bitcoin and instead using the many alternatives available to send their funds. That would definitely help this situation of the high fees.

@OP I don't think the transaction fees will be cheap in very soon because there's no implementation yet to stop BRC-20 or maybe it's impossible to stop. I think the current fee will become a new normal, just like Ethereum network.

Or ask your favorite casino to accept deposits/withdrawals through the Lightning Network. I believe it's not just the best time to start asking, it has now become absolutely very necessary as a Bitcoin-only user.

Usually a casino is really slow to updating a new development, this because they're either focus to other sectors e.g. promotion, gambling provider etc. I can't remember which casino have adopt lightning network from someone in recommend it in this forum, I only know the casino was already accept lightning network from the beginning.

I believe they will have no choice. They either accept that they ignore their share of the Bitcoin user market, or implement Lightning as soon as possible. Because if some casinos decide that they won't onboard users through Lightning, there are other casinos that definitely will, THEN they get a bigger slice in the Bitcoin user market/become more competitive.

Now (as I write) transaction fees are down where the recommended high priority transaction fee is 317 sat/vB. But of course these costs will still increase and will probably be even more expensive if this dust attack continues.

I think hold is a good option right now over broadcast the transaction especially if you don't want to overpay the fees.
So far there have been many similar topics asking and discussing the same problem, but no one can say for sure when this problem will be resolved. Wait and wait, the BRC20 hype may soon fade with time. It's time to hold and accumulate bitcoin on correction.

The issue with Bitcoin's transaction fees started last week and is still going on, the pressure has increased since last week. Looking at the condition, nothing can be said yet. Since this condition has occurred due to excess transactions, no one can say what amount of transactions are going to happen in the future, so it is not possible for anyone to say how long this condition will continue. And I think that the same thing will be repeated again and again that no one can say for sure how long this situation will continue.

I advice you to make deposits now for future betting, as it seems that we are going to face expensive transaction fees for quite a time. Probably until we get another trend on cryptocurrency market. Right now NFT on Bitcoin blockchain are killing network and whole idea of Bitcoin. The situation is similar to expensive transaction in Ethereum network and popularity of DEX. That trend started to lose its power when metaverses were announced and people have switched their attention to it. Right now Bitcoin is following Ethereum path imho. So I see two options for you, make deposits now and keep balance on gambling platforms, or wait for months for lower fees.
I also have this feeling too. Any one that’s into gambling and would be playing any game in the nearest future should make sure they do so now.

I think the issues of the transactions fees would still persist for a long time now, and may even probably get worse so it’s best to do the needful now.
Many are speculating that the NFT on bitcoin network would vanish off with time. But I doubt if that would actually be the reality. People are getting more interested in NFT and this interest may grow until there is a crash.

Bitcoin block confirmations already take a long time. Now the block conformation has become slower due to increased transaction fees.
Not really, just that you now have to pay so high for your transaction to be confirmed and added into a block, if you use the fee rate for high priority, you transaction should be confirmed in a few minutes.
I went to do a bitcoin transaction last saturday where transaction fee of $4 was supposed to be deducted from my personal wallet but it got rejected after the transaction was pending for a long time. Now trying to do that bitcoin transaction again showing a $19 fee.  Which caused me a lot of suffering
BTC tx fees are calculated in sats/Vbyte, it is better to represent it in that way. Anyway the reason it got higher is because the mempool congestion has gotten worse since last Saturday, right now this spamming going on in the BTC blockchain does not seem to want to slow down and people who spend BTC on little things like taking a beer in the bar can no longer do so. It is crazy and if it continues, it may be hard to convince people that BTC is still a currency.

As a gambler, I'm a bit worried if this trend will continue because I have some fraction of bitcoin that I'd like to use for gambling, especially for the NBA playoffs. I thought maybe I was the only one facing this high transaction fee and never knew it was general, because I started to notice this high transactions fee since last week Friday when I wanted to transfer 0.001 BTC (#12,976) from my Trust wallet into my Binance account where I could sell using p2p into my local currency, and I notice the fee which is most times between the range of #300 to #500 has skyrocketed to #3000, which was way too high and for that reason, I didn't transfer the funds hoping that by today the fee might have gone down, but only for me to check this morning and noticed the fee has gone too high  4x from #3000 to #10,263 as transfer fee, of which with this current high fee, I don't think I will be touching my Bitcoin anytime soon.

Yeah same here too, it's disappointing, I tried to move some bitcoin from my wallet to exchange a day ago and I noticed that the transaction fee has increased a lot, at first I thought it was just some congestion on the network until I started seeing some people complaining on the forum about high transaction fee,

Well now I don't think that will be moving my bitcoin out of my wallet any times for now, I just leave it there and hope that the transaction fee get lower in the future and I read that this have happened before, I believe that some solution will come up and things will go back to the way they used to be, hopefully.

Transaction fees for bitcoin have been quite high lately due to the increased demand for block space in the network. This can make it expensive and slow to send Bitcoin transaction, which is also concern for many users like you OP.

You can use transaction accelerator, some mining pools and other services offer transaction accelerator that can help to speed up the confirmation of your transaction. You may have to pay a small fee to use these services, but it can be worth it if you need your transaction to be confirmed quickly. also you can use Bitcoin Lightning Network, if you have access to a lightning wallet and a Lightning-enabled merchatn, you can make transaction instantly and with low fees. If you're not tied to using Bitcoin, you can consider using other cryptocurrencies that have lower transaction fees and faster transaction times, such as Litecoin or Bitcoin cash. You can also report it to costumer service.

Hope it helps!!

I guess the whole thing took everyone by surprise when it started. For the first time in my transaction history I paid $12 as fee to send out Bitcoin four days ago and that was even after waiting two days for it to abate. It had never happened to me before. Though I would've avoided it if it weren't for the unstable nature of the billing on my wallet. Charges fluctuated between priorities. I chose what was less than $1 only for it to register $12 immediately I sent it out. I felt bad and cheated. Now if I've to send out again while this whole thing lingered, I'm using custom billing to set the charge.

It's best to monitor https://mempool.emzy.de/ and wait for transaction fees to drop before making a transaction. While this may require some time monitoring the fees, it can give you the opportunity to push through your transaction. Alternatively, if you cannot wait for the fees to drop, it may be best to avoid making transactions for a while to avoid paying high fees.

Nobody knows when the mempool will be less congested. Better do not deposit bitcoin for now on betting sites, you need to also consider how high the withdrawal fee can be on custodial platforms. There are altcoins that you can use instead for now.

The network will be congested as long as the "Ordinals thing" market maintains its incentivization flywheel with new money coming in the system, making it profitable for its participants just like a Ponzi Scheme.

My advise is to keep your mind on betting to the limit in your betting account so that you don't have empty hope and take irrational decision with what you have left. The mempool have been congested close to two weeks and if you check blockchain at the moment, there are more numbers of transactions waiting on the queue. So no one knows how longer it will take for the fees to be normal again.

Edit: You are not the only one queued up, you can see this transaction on Roobet thread.

If I had to guess, I would assume that this trend is going to continue as long as the Bitcoin NFTs and the shit-tokens in our chain continue to be relevant and people try to speculate in the FOMO stage of this madness.

For now, I am kind of optimistic that those assets will eventually enter bubble territory and from there it would be just matter of time before the bubble burst, during the final phases of the bubble, people will realize that the party is over and hopefully many of them would go back to gamble with ETH tokens or something.

Or course, that is mostly wishful thinking, more tokens and useless NFTs will continue to be minted as long as the developers continue to leave this unsolved.

what are the best things to do now in order to save from fees and avoid having our transactions stay unconfirmed for too long?

The reason behind soaring transactions fee on Bitcoin network is, launching of  BRC-20 ( Experimental token standard) which seems to be inspired by Ethereum network. This has attracted the attention of those who want to create their own tokens similar to NFTs and list them for selling without the need of any smart contract. This is causing congestion due to minting of NFT tokens. I would suggest you to conduct your transactions during off-peak hours (at night or early morning) when fee is comparatively low.

You make payment or bet in Casino platform, the thing is that since we are experiencing high fees in bitcoin that doesn't mean that we most withdraw with bitcoin
It depends on the gambling site that you are using, there are some gambling sites that you must withdraw your coins compulsory using the network that you used for deposit. Stake is an example. Some gambling sites have exchange function, while some make you to withdraw in any other available network that they listed on their gambling platform. This remains to OP as he is the one that knows the gambling site he is using.

Well all the sites I know only withdraw to which currency you have. And those are all the big ones like the mentioned stake, but also sportsbet.io, nitro and so on.

Actually I have seen no site that lets u deposit A and withdraw B. Those must be fiat sites that only offer crypto to attract more players.

When you deposit btc, you play with btc. That means your winnings are also in btc -> can only be withdrawn in btc.

I gave up on btc with gambling a while ago. Almost all good sites offer altcoins as an alternative.

At stake for example you pay like 2$ in withdrawal fee (even still now) for btc withdrawals, while with LTC or XRP you pay 0.01$ or less. Easy decision.

You won't get rich by penny bet so don't accept crazy expensive fee just to deposit your small bitcoin amount to a gambling site.

No one knows when mempools will get better but at least 1 or 2 months if nothing will be heated up more by Ordinals, BRC-20 tokens. We don't know what will happen with them so best to wait and check mempools every week especially every weekend. Hopefully you will find some acceptable fee rates in next weekends.

For me I personally have resolved to myself not to make any other transactions on the network again until the the congestion is less and fees reduced because it is too much for me, and I can only pay such fees when I am under pressure. For gamblers who this development is affecting, It is frustrating, but for the time being you can stop gambling on crypto casino's. I hope the high transaction fees will not last a month though, as it's trouble now for small-time bettors like me.

As a result, if you are desperate to bet, use the medium priority and risk having your transaction delayed for some time, or if you can afford the high priority transaction fee, you are good to go.

The medium priority transaction fee is still high, as it's only slightly less than the high priority fee with just over a dollar difference.

I think we all know it, Ordinal is the hot thing this year and traders, investors, and even scammers are taking advantage of this. There's a post made by @pooyah87 which tells how scams are increasing in numbers, which results into flooding the network and increasing the fees.

I have some balance too on my casino that I’m using for my casual bets. I don’t mind leaving it there so that I will still have funds available when my gambling crave kicks in. You’ll never when you will have an urge to game and the transaction might be more expensive when the time comes.

While withdrawing my earnings I try as much as possible to keep some fraction of bitcoin for future staking, firstly you never can tell the time you would see a good game to bet on (before you can send you funds to the gambling site may be too late) and also doing that can save you the headaches of transactions fees

But be guarded never leave much funds on the gambling site and always ensure to use legit and respected gambling sites.

I haven't read the news yet, but it's been several days since the transaction fee has been very high. I checked on https://mempool.emzy.de/ and this is what I see now.
