I'm not sure about others but my story is a little bit different. I learnt about Bitcoin from this forum, I made a good search about selling digital goods and found this forum where someone was selling a digital good and I thought I might do the same to earn some money. But, after reading posts on this forum I learnt so much about the forum and about the Bitcoin. So In simple words I learnt first about this forum and then about Bitcoin.

It's the opposite in my case. I got interested into Bitcoin when I joined the forum.

Of course, this forum alone isn't the only one that got me the interest into Bitcoin. There are some things as well that sparked my interest about it. I mean if you saw a completely new technology that could possibly give you profits, can help you make transactions without any third-party involved, can make you anonymous (kind of), and everything, you really will be interested in knowing more about it. As for your case, it's good that you've been doing it for the last 2 years. I'm pretty sure that your in profit already.

Always know when to sell your Bitcoins and don't fall in love with it. You'll regret it like what I did during the last bull run. Just a friendly reminder.

I knew about bitcoin before joining the forum, but i only became interested in bitcoin after joining the forum. Before joining the forum, i thought bitcoin was a get rich quick scheme, that is what the people who introduced me to bitcoin told me, but this forum completely changed that erroneous idea.

The crazy thing is that there are still quite a lot of people who still believe that bitcoin is a get rich quick scheme that they can get in, and get out rich; too bad that they'll be disappointed.

Well I most say it's been 2 years since I heard about bitcoin but I never give a listening ear whenever I see people talking about bitcoin, reason is because I don't even know how it looks like. but they still keep talking about it More often so I decided to make intensive research  to know how bitcoin looks like and also how it works, from there  I started learning about bitcoin to the  extent that I find it very interested but I was not curious to invest reason is because I'm still yet to know more about bitcoin, So after then I got introduced to this platform.

Well, it's actually true that everyone have a story to tell when it comes to how their  journey began, and I am no exception to that, though before I came into this forum last year november, I am already aware of Bitcoin and how to buy and sell, because I have been a trader since from the year 2020, so when I came into the forum last year, the only knowledge I lack on Bitcoin was measure that should be put in place, so as to hold strong even in the rainy days, something like having a source of income and an emergency fund to sustain you during financial difficulties, so that you wouldn't temper with your holdings.

Aside that, I have a little bit of Bitcoin worth up to 40 dollar in my bybit account, though I sometimes sell for minimal gains, but me coming here and the knowledge I have gotten here since I came here has really improved my decision making and enlightened me the more, especially on Bitcoin and security, and why it wrong to be storing my asset in an exchange as an investors.

so in essence of what am trying to say is that, though I wasn't a total newbie in the field, due to the fact that  I have been into the crypto and forex industries Long before coming into this forum, but the forum have really shaped me on Bitcoin especially and how to navigate my way around it, but the knowledge generally is what makes this place really good.

Never ever Believed that such a forum existed until I joined through bounty. I have heard about bitcoins since 2019 and have been doing research on that, joined many Facebook groups which where much more misleading as they are full of scams. The journey is never so easy since I didn't know about the forum and I have to learn by researching the web and trying to understand how it works through exchanges.  Well thanks to goodness, now I can beat my left chest that I understand bitcoins to some extent. After knowing this forum existed, don't visit any other board than bounty, until I took a bold step to check what is over , behold , it's a new world of her own, a community of intelligent investors rubbing minds together.

I was not interested for long before joining the forum.  From the day I heard about bitcoin and heard about bitcoin forum within few days I moved to bitcoin forum and started learning about bitcoin.  You may have known about Bitcoin for two years and heard about Bitcoin because of which you have experience but I came to Bitcoin knowing about Bitcoin for a short time.

My interest in Bitcoin all started when I joined this wonderful forum. It was through this forum that my exposure to the knowledge of Bitcoin developed to the extent that I began to think and consider having Bitcoin as a store of value and as another means of payment since I am looking for an investment that will give me good Profits in long term.

I hope you are able to learn about Bitcoin and how it works before you started your slow buying from the Robinhood platform you said you buy from, and I hope the platform is reputable because I am just hearing about it for the first time.
Are you saving the purchased Bitcoin in your personal wallet you have its private key in your possession? if no, then do well to move your Bitcoin out of any centralized exchange or platform to an open-source Bitcoin wallet like Electrum or bluewallet for security, and make sure you keep your seed phrase safe.

I was not opportune to know Bitcoin in its early stage, but I am happy to know it last four years back, and I am happy to be independent and I know how to go about my financial freedom through the help of the forum and Bitcoin because with Bitcoin, there is financial freedom  because no one can be able to track your wealth especially if you save them in your personal wallet not in exchanges that will demand for some information from you in the name of KYC.

May be 2 years. Afaik I came across Bitcoin around 2013 then joined this forum in 2015, wasn't active at all with that account, joined again with current account in 2017 and I'm still here.

I barely remember how long. I was not yet in the forum when I was into Bitcoin but nothing serious.

Well, when I first heard about it from someone it wasn't like that. You know what's fascinating about it? it's about the dark web money, etc. It is for sure that many would recall that moment when Bitcoin was like some genius to own and yet so dangerous to have it because of that impression from the weebs and nerds. 

I didn't have accurate knowledge about how Bitcoin works before joining this forum, everything that I heard about it sounded like it was a Ponzi scheme and a means of money laundering. It was after I joined this forum that I began to learn and increase my knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. This forum is undeniably the best place to learn and discuss about Bitcoin and the crypto space, it's terminologies and technicalities. I remain grateful to all the experienced members that nurtured me when I was a newbie here. I'm happy that I can make meaningful crypto contributions in and outside the forum because of the knowledge that I've gained here..

I knew nothing about the existence of this forum when I first came to know about Bitcoin. It was the time when there were faucets that most people used to claim small amounts of satoshis every hour or day. I remember the price of Bitcoin was around $500 or something when I first came to know about it and I was excited immediately after knowing its price. I was also confused as to how a currency can be that expensive, I thought it was too expensive, lol.

I found out about this forum later from a cousin who used to be a member of this forum. He told me if I wanted to learn more about Bitcoin, I needed to join this forum for sure because I wouldn't have a better platform for that.

Years have passed, I still can't forget those times and I always wish that I had money at that time to buy some Bitcoin and I could have a lot of money today if I had bought back then and held on to them.

That's funny, I've mostly seen the complete opposite: People avoiding Bitcoin because they think it's just some kind of get rich quick scheme, and investing only after they've done a little bit of research and learned that this is not the case. Though I guess that was still way back when people were warier of cryptocurrencies and didn't have finfluencers rotting their brains.

I disagree. Most or all people before making an investment, have to do their research. Differences between them are only their researches are due diligent or only a quick research, before they decide to join and spend money.

Due diligent research is important to have knowledge and understand about Bitcoin and this market, but it is not decisive for your investment ending will be profit. People who did due diligent research can still get loss in investment, because they lack of successful investor characteristics.

They can improve themselves through learning and practice, but not all of investors can succeed in a same market, it's life. In a same market which has a zero-sum game, if you get profit, someone else lose money; and if you lose money, it goes to someone else who get profit.

Well, most people always try to engage or invest in bitcoin before making research about it, this is because alot of people who are ignorant about bitcoin think is some kind of making money quick scheme, so instead of trying to get knowledge about it first they just invest. Just in your case, you said you invested in bitcoin before joining this forum.

For me I was in this forum for months before I tried investing in bitcoin. I feel when you have a versatile knowledge about something it think even when you put your money on it there is this level of confidence you have because you are sure of what you are doing. I still can't thank my friend enough for introducing Me to this forum, he was trying to convince me to invest in bitcoin but this forum made it easier.

I didn't consider bitcoin a scam at first, but I just doubted its future.
I've seen so many people lose money investing in new things, so I doubted bitcoin before I learned about it. Coming to the forum for economic reasons is the average hidden reason for users, but basically they expect money from this forum. I don't think it's wrong, but in the end these users have to balance their knowledge and their desire to make money.

I heard about Bitcoin a long time ago but never considered it worth learning about for some reason. Some criminals were using Bitcoin as a means to defraud people. They will develop a shitcoin and deceive people to invest in it as Bitcoin. Many people have lost money, so I avoided Bitcoin because I didn't want to get scammed. And I never made any attempt to study the coin because of my wrong perception. I sceptically joined the forum because I thought it was another scam.

To answer your questions, I had little but wrong knowledge about Bitcoin before I joined this forum. It was on this forum that my original Bitcoin education started. And it has been a worthwhile adventure, you are welcome.

I have developed a strong passion and desire for bitcoin for a very long time before coming to this forum. Infact everything worked like it was planned. Though  my quest for bitcoin led me to first invest in some shitcoins, of which I will never ever forget in my life. But to me it was a stepping stone in to the real bitcoin World. So coming here has opened and exposed my brain to main thing I was looking for. Sincerely speaking BTT is the best place to learn about bitcoin. Apart that, there are many other important things to learn her like financial management, information about politics, learning how to reduce the risk of addiction and many other useful information you need. In summary BTT is one of the best place to be.

I can't really predict how long that it has been, but one thing that I can remember correctly is that my knowledge of crypto and desire to own bitcoin increased when I started showing more interest in this forum and reading a lot about it. Back before my time in this forum, I was not even sure of what crypto was the right one to hold and for what purpose.

I was desperate to learn about Bitcoin since I have heated about Bitcoin in 2018 through a friend of mine, I wasn’t too aware of it’s importance to our financial system until I was directed to this forum to get good knowledge about Bitcoin. I was a student then so I have no capital to invest, I started with bounty campaigns back then just to get into the crypto space to be a coin holder be it Bitcoin or any altcoin. At last, I leaned about DCA method which is the best method of Bitcoin investment especially for some of us that have unstable sources of income so as not use all our money to invest in Bitcoin so as not lack money that will lead us to selling our Bitcoin savings.

This forum is a home for me, it has helped me in several aspects financially and I have earned a lot of knowledge here and I have learned to be cautious generally about cryptocurrency and I understand what it means to be a crypto expert. I hope you soon achieve your dreams here in the forum.

Majority of people including myself have heard about bitcoin or have started using Bitcoin before joining bitcoin. Sometimes people stumble into this forum when they ask question about certain things as relating to bitcoin and are therefore directed here which is a form of community for bitcoin. There are others who are also referred to this forum by friends or family.

Most of who traded forex have known about bitcoin and have used it long before joining the forum.

I didn't knew about bitcoin before I joined this forum. My friend introduced me to this forum.
That is when I first heard about bitcoin and then I started exploring the forum and gradually increased my knowledge.
This forum will truly be a significant part of my life as it has changed my life completely.

I've known about Bitcoin quite a while before joining the forum but only got really interested in Bitcoin after few months into my stay in the forum. Prio to my full time entry into the forum, I knew about Airdrops and crypto trading but felt that all there is to crypto is trading of the meme coin that was making headline all over the media. Upon joining the forum, I've gotten really exposed to what Bitcoin is all about and can rightfully place other crypto in Thier place and deal with them accordingly without treating them as Bitcoin. I thing for you, you had a good start and with more than two years already in the crypto space and having to buy some Bitcoin before Even joining the forum, it's going to be easier for you to make the best out of the forum since you're obviously not a novice. The advantage that those that have stayed long in the system up to two three years plus have over new folks is that they've gotten used to the volatile nature of Bitcoin outside of what most of us read from books and on some site. You're supposed to be better positioned to strive well as a Bitcoin user.

After few months of getting involved in cryptocurrency, buying some coins, I joined the forum. I made some mistakes before knowing the forum, assuming I knew the forum, some of the mistakes would have been avoided.

I didn't come here to learn more about bitcoin, I came to be able to earn, but on arriving here and met some invaluable knowledge of bitcoin, I became hesitant to join signature campaigns even when I got the required rank and merits. All that interests me was knowing more about the forum and bitcoin itself.

There some people that they don’t know much about the Bitcoins which is why they try to introduce themselves in to this wonderful forum that they can learn much about the, there some people’s that they have interest about the bitcoins, but the lack of knowledge is not allow them joining the forum they’re unaware that where all gather here to lean on what each an everyone do not comprehend. I was first interested in Bitcoin to trade. I got to know Bitcoin around 2015 and started trading. In fact, I know more about Bitcoin through fundamental technicalities on social media. I didn't even dream of joining this forum. But in 2020 my friend introduced me to this forum about all things crypto-related. Probably most of us came to the forum to learn more about Bitcoin. I am no different from anyone, although, I confess, that the forum became interesting to me completely by accident, but after I began visiting it day after day and reading as much as possible, all other sites containing information about Bitcoin lost their relevance for me.

It was a very long time before joining the forum, I didn't need a long time before joining the forum, I personally found out about Bitcoin (BTC) in Q4 2019, finding out more about it then found out that Bitcointalk is the genesis of Bitcoin (BTC) discussions and then decided to join to get good insights from the experts here.

When I know about bitcoin and ethereum, I joined the forum right away and it came from this forum most of what I learned while some from research or when I don't understand something like abbreviations. You don't need to be a knowledgeable person before you join the forum because this forum is created for people to discuss everything cryptocurrency related. I didn't know about Bitcoin prior to joining the forum. There was a coin being speculated as the next bitcoin in my country (TBC coin). I don't know if there are still people that remember it but back then, it kind of felt like a big deal and I did what was the most logical thing to do at the time — to use Google. I did and it was a forum post here on BTT that confirmed it was indeed a scam. I read the replies made by other members and it made sense. So I thought — this could be a good resource to stick around and learn a thing or two and it was. Bitcoin was mentioned often and the forum was the best place to learn especially in the early days when there were little to no resources to learn about Bitcoin.

Depends on when you discover this forum. Since for sure that once you already got into this place for you will never leave here especially that all information you are searching for is hear and you can talk a lot of people and share your or their own insights towards the issues discussed. Also there's lots of earning opportunities here that's why lots of people came here since its like all in one platform for people who use bitcoin and crypto. In my case my friend is into mining and I tried to research about mining and any related matters unto this since love the idea about having a miner then earn passive money with it. This forum offer offer those information and we can also find that lots of people are into those stuffs that's why this is ideal platform where people could able to stay. Bitcointalk so far  is the most famous  bitcoin platform we could find.

To be honest, I was not a fan of bitcoin before due to the scam accusations here and there, until I started joining the forum, that's where I started to become enlightened about what is bitcoin truly is and how huge its potentials. But it did not happened in just a blink of an eye. It took even a year before I realized that bitcoin is actually our future, not the fiat that we get used to believe since we are born in this world.

I have heard about bitcoin long ago before joining this forum but I only got more interested in it after joining the forum. I didn’t know of its financial freedom part not until I joined the forum. Until I got to know about the forum while stream so random videos on sites that can fetch crypto by performing tasks. It was a Lucky search and I decided to create an account.. I was shocked to even see that people from my country were already here. Bitcointalk has been a home for most of my general knowledge and it has helped me to become a better person when it comes to crypto. I can stand out in midst of many and explain alot they don't know about... This forum is a blessing in disguise to anyone who is a member as you might not see such places where knowledge is more than enough and given out freely...

I first stumbled on Bitcoin years back when reading an article in some tech magazine.  Didn't think much of it at the time, but I was spending a bunch of time on online gambling sites back then and started noticing some of them taking crypto.  That's what got me intrigued enough to go digging and try to wrap my head around how Bitcoin and blockchain worked.  

I spent a good while poking around online communities and forums, asking questions and reading up before I felt ready to actually buy my first coins.  Even then, it was months of watching the volatility before I worked up the nerve to do more than just dabble and  im still getting the hang of when to try timing dips but hanging around forums like this one has helped me get more comfortable and learn the ropes bit by bit.

I got interested in bitcoin before I knew about the forum. Before then, I have invested so much in altcoins which didn't really meet my expectations.The funny thing is that I paid to learn the basics about cryptocurrency, knowlege i got for free in this forum. At the point when I was almost giving up on cryptocurrencies, a friend of mine recommended bitcoin to me. After a while, I learnt about the forum.

Any bitcoiner who is serious does not need to pay anyone to learn about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general. Cryptocurrency questions are answered here, information directly from the sources are also available here. With the information you'll get here, protecting your bitcoins wouldn't be your problem except you become careless with your investment.

Forum as a Trading discussion board where we are discussing with this topic. There are topics about Trading, posts about trading resources, and there are people who can help you about it. But basically the forum is more about Bitcoin discussions from fundamentals to technical. Trading discussion is only small part of it and
trading is not advised because it is more risky. By trading, you will more likely get loss, than get profit with investment.

With most of paid groups, paid courses, you need to be more careful. First you have to pay fees, and lastly maybe these tutors themselves can not get profit with trading, means they are bad traders.

When I started trading, I knew nothing about the forum then, and I had no one to guide me, so I learned about trading myself. When I was doing research about trading, I came across the forum, and I started following it gradually. Most of the information that I got about trading was from this forum, things that people wanted me to pay first before they were going to teach me, I got to learn about them here for free. That’s just why the forum is just so interesting, you don’t have to pay anything to gain knowledge here, all you should do is take your time and read, and if there is anything you don’t understand, just ask questions, and you'll get your answer.

Firstly Op hope you understand how to store your coins properly? I believe you should be away and you currently aren't storing those coins on any exchange wheather Centralised or Decentralised. If not I suggest you move your coins to a noncustodial wallet that is also preferably open source for me I'll suggest ELECTRUM, and also make sure you have an offline backup (something like a paper wallet) for your seed and keys.

That being said well I pretty much knew a couple of basic things relating to bitcoin before I joined the forum. However first thing I actually got to improve the most on this forum was my knowledge on security and privacy. And that in fact should be the priority knowledge newbies should be after. It's not all about HODLING some bitcoins but also securing your hodlings. there wouldn't be hodling if you should lose them as a result of poor security.

At least 6-7 months, i didn't learn bitcoin from Bitcointalk, it was from a facebook group. And i learned about this forum from that facebook group as well, from then on i get more knowledge here, then become mia and comes back. I remember faucets from that year give at least 0.005-0.01 BTC waiting from 30 mins to 1 hr, well, IIRC bitcoin price were just below $500 that time.

Before joining the forum I was a crypto enthusiast when I used to  binary options trading. But I often searched the prices of different coins on Google. While searching on Google, one of the coins I saw with the highest price was Bitcoin. Since then I have asked a few friends what is Bitcoin? And why is the price of this coin so high when there are other coins. Basically since then I got interested in Bitcoin even after a few months I joined this forum.

After joining here I gained a fair amount of knowledge about Bitcoin even invested there with success which was a blessing for me. Without joining this forum I probably wouldn't have had such a deep experience with Bitcoin even investing. We still have a lot to learn from this extensive Bitcoin forum.

Wow, this question made me remember my past memories. I could still remember when I first knew about bitcoin, then in my school time, when I always had to go and do a lot of research on some browsers and also on YouTube. That is how I was able to gain a bit of knowledge on bitcoin, which I later started investing in, although I literally knew nothing about the importance of long-term investment. I was just forced to buy bitcoin with the small amount I have. When I see a small profit, then I will just sell all the bitcoin, and then I will wait if the bitcoin dumps again, then I will buy again. 
 
But when I was introduced to bitcoin talk, the story changed. That is, when I knew the advantage of a long-term investment, although I always regretted not knowing about bitcoin talk. Since I knew about bitcoin, that is why they said ignorance affects more than disease. Although everything has come to pass and it has already become a memory, and now I have known many things about bitcoin, which is because of this forum.

I can see you are still a newbie. I don’t know if you have some knowledge about bitcoin already, but I will assure you that you will enjoy your stay in this forum if you are really ready to learn, and you will definitely see the advantages of the knowledge that you will get in the forum.
 

I was interested in crypto before joining the forum. Attending crypto seminars and meeting people who are “experts” in the crypto space. Luckily for me, at the time my portfolio was very small and I only had a few altcoins. If I had not found the forum, my crypto experience would have been very different from what it is today. I probably would have lost my investments to shitcoins. The knowledge I’ve gained from this forum has helped me understand how Bitcoin really works.

First, before I discovered Bitcoin, if I'm not mistaken, it was because of cloudbet.com that I found out about Bitcoin. I was looking for a place to bet on the NBA back in 2014. At that time, I could only place bets using bitcoin on Cloudbet because there weren't many altcoins or fiat yet and they weren't well known. Later on, I searched for ways to earn Bitcoin. That's when I found Bitcointalk, especially the signature campaigns on Bitcointalk where I could earn. So, I registered here on bitcointalk in 2016 and you can check my account.

This platform may have probably brought you to the interest/awareness of Bitcoin at the course of learning before accepting it while some other enthusiasts had already developed the interest of Bitcoin but were basically here to learn about it before actualize their goal.
Some too have been here to stay updated and sharing knowledges on conversing with fellow enthusiasts.

They are both interesting in anyways and much credit to the foundation of this platform offering each and everyone free license to link up and catching up our dreams with Bitcoin while the forum remains fair to users.

I've already acquired some Bitcoin, Doge coin and ETH before knowing that this forum exists, I was mining Bitcoin via Nicehash mining before I knew that Bitcointalk exists, I know about Bitcoin through an MLM scheme, I got scammed though, and it was later that I found out that Bitcoin has nothing to do with the scam.

I made a lot of mistakes because I wasn't present on this forum sooner enough, I would have learnt a lot if this forum was my starting point, instead I made every possible mistakes to learn, I lost my Bitcoin, Doge and others, through cloud mining at first then some stupid investment choices.

Today I am better and stronger than I used to be, I've learned a lot from my mistakes and that's why I hardly make any mistakes this day, I believe if we are open to never stop learning then we will make less mistakes.

Some got here before they make investment in bitcoin, some already have been into bitcoin for long before making the discover of this platform, while the last category were those who coincidentally came across this forum online and from there got the opportunity of knowing about bitcoin for the first time, this can happened either by a friend's referral or by any other means after which we are making research upon online and landed here, all i could for now remember about my own joining was that, am not one of the early adopters.

For me I become interested with bitcoin when after I joined the forum. Before I just seeing it as an advertisements on some sites like getting some faucet by watching ads, and Im skeptical whether its scam or not since I dont really have any idea with it before but later I learned how good it is when I browsed and scanned it already here.

Perhaps I love the fact that you already bought or invested in bitcoin but it's not advisable to keep you coin in a third party platform such as the on you mentioned above. it literally shows you don't have direct control over your funds or asset. A self custodial wallet is must advisable such as Electrum for bitcoin and blue wallet or other open source wallet for other cryptocurrencies.

Everyone has different reason why they came into this forum, I got here through a friend and I guess lots of us did same way while others came across it while researching their ways into bitcoin.
