The only reason signature campaigns even run is because signature campaigns generate traffic to a specific website, and that usually results in that said site making profit if the redirected user spends money on that site. As long as bitcointalk stays where it is in terms of traffic or even expands, expect campaigns to continue to run. Some campaigns spend over 1 BTC per week- quite a commitment, and it shows just how effective a campaign can be if the members post as much as they are supposed to.

Since the forum does not use ad networks I think that it is a great opportunity for companies to advertise here.

Besides the advertisement on forum managed by theymos we can see how much visitors has the forum https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adstats

I'm not sure how the signatures will look like in the new forum but it's good to not complicated the UI/UX because as it is now it is great.

There are campaigns wherein the time frame is indicated on the thread and there are also campaigns which don't have the time frame. The OP will just announce if the campaign will be pause for a while or will be permanently close.
But the point is, how long businesses will need signature campaign for promoting their business and for using it to stay competitive with their businesses.

It means as long as signature campaigns are supporting business to find new customers, we can assume signature campaigns will stay here by providing this forum members the opportunity of earning by advertising their sponsors.

I feel that it is time for us to discuss about this matter. How long do you people thinks that Bitcointalk signature campaigns will last?

Bitcoin will be hitting its peak and probably surpass it very soon looking at the current rate. Which means that more people will be joining us in investing Bitcoin. This mean that there will be a huge changes in the signature campaigns community.

I feel that the number of signature campaigns will be greatly reduced once Bitcoin reaches a new height because it is much efficient to just start a advertisement campaign on popular AD networks like A-ads and MellowAds or even Google Adsense.
No.Signature campaigns will keep running like they used to without any effect of bitcoin price. Most campaigns will reduce the rates of payment but they will continue to run as their business depends on bitcoin and this forum is a great source of bitcoin related traffic
Yes that's exactly what I feel. Everyone who knows about bitcoin is on this forum so this is the best place to advertise any bitcoin related service, but yes they can do advertising with ad works and others but that depends on how much they are planning to spend on advertising on bctalk it doesn't take a lot of budget to hold a campaign.

I agree with you here. This forum is pretty much THE bitcoin forum, there may be others but they will never be the original. Most enthusiasts come here, as well as people new to the technology.

First, I do not think BTC will reach bonanza any time soon. I ve been listening to this for years and guess what, still nothing.

Second, even if the price would go up, sig campaign manager would accommodate and reduce rewards payable in BTC to match BTC price.

Third, more people entering Bitcoin market means larger market for products we all promote by being parts of sig campaigns.

So, no problem there.

That depends on each signature campaign itself, how the managers and business owners are happy with it and the results they get. Of course another factor is how much money they have and are willing to spend for campaigns. As long they have use of it they will finance it. At least I think so.
Since I'm involved in one hope it will last it's good source of extra income, it's fun and it makes you to be very active on forum which is also good for learning stuff and communicating.

Signature campaigns are holding a decent amount of members on this forum , ending them just because we switched to another forum software wouldn't make much sense and will make a lot of users switching to forum.bitcoin.com that is desperately looking for members at the moment.
Why would you jump to the conclusion that switching to the new forum will be the end of campaigns ? To my knowledge, theymos already mentioned that Signature Campaigns is more just an advertisement,it has become a part of bitcoin culture [IIRC] and no they wouldn't end it in the new forum.Of course,if it ever happens,a new forum will easily take over that is if they have potential.

I think they will last for a pretty long time, as while AD networks are effective, a lot of the time you would be advertising to faucet users with no intent to use your site, if it's a gambling site or a marketplace site. Signature campaigns are a good way to promote, and also to get the people who promote for you to know about your site and use it.

Signature campaigns will last as long as the advertising for them is paying off.
As far as i know we still don't know if the signature campaigns will continue to the new forum (whenever that happens) they may decide to end them for good who knows.
If signature campaigns ended then we would also see a drop in account sales which would be a good effect of ending them.

...And it is mean signature campaign services will be survive for long time on this forum except it is be banned by admin at here.

I see no reason why Admin will ban signature campaigns - this is one of the main things keeping this forum alive.

Lots of people join for the money, they post and the forum remains active.

Admin NEEDS this forum posters...

Both signature campaigns and bitcointalk forum has a mutual benefit , they are having a benefit to each other . Signature campaigns are the reason why bitcointalk forum is still alive and bitcointalk forum is the way promote and advertise those websites or companies who are operating a signature campaigns .

I agree that both have mutual benefit, but sometimes signature campaign is abused.  this is also one of the reason why some of the signature campaign limits post and at the same time put the no burst post in a single day rule.
Anyway, I think the life of Signature Campaign in this forum depend on the admin of this forum.  They have the rights and the power to ban or let the signature campaign continue on this forum.

Depends on their budget really, one thing seems most of them fail to understand is the fact that signature campaign only works if it is wide spread throughout the whole forums and in long period of time which apparently yobit and 1 or 2 other campaigns could grasp it and be smart.
That comes with its own cost : - Copious Amount Of Spam.

many think that people stop on every and each signature and click on them and then follow them but they never get it that their advertisement in signatures must be seen repeatedly and regularly until it hacks into the minds of people and they get used to it and when someday someone needed something related to a specific ad in sigs easily can recall the numerous times he or she saw such service or announcement.
Honestly, signature campaigns doesn't really have anything to do with people clicking the signatures links or not. That would give them traffic, which could be bought using other methods for much cheaper. What you're missing out on is the fact advertising in bitcoin-talk gives them potential buyers/service users.

And when they fail to take a note on my statement above they'll just run out of funds and get cold feet.

We need not to be just hoping like campaigns will last for a long time but, as long as these campaigns are effective for a business we can be 100% sure that signature campaigns here will last for ever. In other words, as long as this forum is being considered as the prime resource for crypto currency related information, people will be active here so signature campaign also will be living here.
a
Yes, aslong as the campaign is effective, meaning the sites owner is in good profit position. As long as it is still attracts clients ,traffic and players. Once the gains or profit dries up, he has no option but to stop or redesigned his campaign.

I read posts and I don't know why do you people think that bitcoin's price rise up will be the reason of signature campaign's ends? They will reduce payment rates in bitcoin and that will be solution.
Also everything depends on this forum's Staff, if they want they will end signature campaigns by removing some opportunity from bbcodes. Also the reason why signature campaigns are best in this forum is that to promote your product here is much better than using other advertising networks (I don't mean adsense). Here are people who are interested in using bitcoin, so imagine when you want sell hair products, which website will you choose for advertising? Movie's website or Beauty's? Of course Beauty and same situation is here and also this website has big traffic and that's also main reason for advertising.

I guess the signature campaign ends when the campaign manager or the one who own the running sites reaches their quota of their sites, example they need a visitors in their sites for at least 10000 for the whole month then they will make a rules in their campaign that they members need to visit their sites every now and then, one more, if they have quota in new members of their sites like sign up first in their site before earning from them.
That is only my own assumption on signature campaign. Correct me if I am wrong about it.
But the best answer for bitcoin signature campaign last? I guess only the campaign manager can answer your queries regarding that, because they are the one who knows when it last.

signature ads feed themselves in a way that adsense never could. the way bitcoin is, you could spend thousands on clicks and maybe 1% of those clicks might already have bitcoin, maybe 0.1%, and then 1% or less of those holders might spend on your platform.

someone earning on here is way more likely to spend on here too.

I see no reason why Admin will ban signature campaigns - this is one of the main things keeping this forum alive.
More importantly signature campaign attract lot of new people into bitcoin ecosystem through this forum. They start working for bitcoins/altcoins payments, I believe slowly they are starting adopting cryptocurrencies. I believe that must be the main objective of this forum : spreading awareness on bitcoin system, signature campaign are helping to achieve that objective indirectly.
Yes good to us whos here in this forum  where also investor in crypto currency while earning here in signature campaign. I guest there no reason for it to stop or close the signature campaign in this forum.

There are many advantages on signature campaigns system.

- Newbies start earning some amounts of BTCs to start learning and having interest on the crypto-currency world.
- Forum gets more traffic, increasing its income from ads.
- A big part of signature campaign money goes to casinos and online investiments (making the money circulate over the BTC businesses over the internet).

This what is happening now is not because campaign managers like to do it.. Every action have reaction. Campaign managers reaction is answer to crazy spamming around all forum. Belive me, if not that reaction, shortly administartion of forum will ban all signature campaigns. It for sure will be bad for all of us. So better improve quality, than lost opportunity.

Nope, I don't think that the signature spamming can be the reason why the admin will be banning the campaigns. I've read some vigilant users on meta and by reading those concerns that admin seems to not care about it(theoretically).

That's just users opinions.. Do you know what thinks about this admin? Nope;)
Spam is never desirable - look on reaction of Lauda on Bitmixer campaign.
Theymos make every week auction of space for advertising. I am sure that if the signature campaigns got ban, the price of an ad in auction will be skyrocketing. So it can be even better for him.
Anyway, spam in recent months expanded so much that this kind of reaction was necessary.

Since there are more than 800k members here the signature campaign still remains the best option for a new business which is bitcoin related to be promoted in this forum.

It will have the exposure needed for a new business. Cannot say how long signature campaings will last but this forum is the best option still for advertising a bitcoin related business.

It's the best option for businesses promote their brand, because it's a cheap advertisement, and you are promoting it directly to the Bitcoin community, increasing the chances to make a successfull advertise and have good results.

Ads network is better, it's can reach non-bitcoiners outside from here.
No, signature campaigns are easier for any business to attract a bitcoiner for their bitcoin based business through signature campaign rather than making out side people to adopt bitcoin for their business.

You say it better because just filling a little money in your pouch.
If it is true, the concept of signature campaign would not have lasted till today. For some businesses, their biggest challenge must be holding existing customers to come back repeatedly, this way I believe signature campaigns are helping business to stay competitive.

Signature campaign is better then advertising with banners in sites, first of all, there a lot of site owners that run fake traffic and/or fake clicks...

Signatures still one of the bests ways to advertise since the forum have a lot of users from a lot of countries so don't matter what's the price of bitcoin, it's just about regulate the rewards.
This so pathetic but looks like your sentences like a drama, even you're in the signature camp and just wanna for closing your eyes about the another fact behind the sigcamp. Probably last year the bitcoin price went this high already or higher i guess, Yet signature campaign is still there. Of course it would last long why? because owners can set their own rules and rates. Another plus for this is that the campaign managers right now are very vigilant and trying to improve signature campaign services.

most of the time it depends on the campaign owner if they will let the signature campaign last longer especially if they have enough budget to continue on working with the campaign . budget is the most common issue of the signature campaigns if they are short in budget they are not going to last up to a several months or even a year .

It depends on the campaign ceo or the website ceo in how long he will run his advertisement and if hey don't want to continue his signature campaign advertisement then he can really make it 2-3 weeks only and the campaign manager will anounce will known about how long it wll take.

Those campaign who last only for 2-3 weeks are short budgeted sites and surely they cannot get some success un that short time of period aswell as i believe that if they run their campaign for long period of time just like other campaigns do surely their site will be slowly known,  but we cannot stop them to quit since they are the one who knows the limitation of their budget in ad campaigns,  but one thing sites should remember long exposure=success theres no site will be buff up in just one month of advertisement.

I think as long as you can add a signature in your space and as long as it's allowed in this forum. I don't see any reason as to why they will stop.

That's a good thing, IMO. There's nothing bad about that and it's inevitable anyway. We will always have more people today than what we had yesterday.

I don't think so. If the price of bitcoin hits its peak, the signature campaigns will just decrease their payment rate. They will stick here because this forum is where all their audience are. Everyone in here is a bitcoin user and companies that are using signature campaigns are looking for bitcoin users.

known about long time promote use signature campaign
if promote succes i think can added budget to promote signature campaign so can long term in project
Agree,  only owners  know   whether  if they  would  like to continue or not  on a  particular campaign  it depends  on their decision and the  alloted  funds  for marketing purposes  if   they saw that  its effective and odes  help to  generate  clients or  players  on their site then for  sure  they would  still decide to  run the  campaign  as long as they want because  their site  get good results  out of it.

Signature campaigns are now a more effective way of advertising a product and the companies know that with this type of advertising people take more interest in finding and studying about the product and so the results come very beneficial so I think signature campaigns will be for longer or forever.

Sure it is a way more effective than any type of advertising and I think this is more cheaper than the usual advertising that goes throughout the web. But you gotta be wrong with what you said that it will be forever, because there is no permanent in this world and when those companies are alread popular in the minds of the people, I guess they don't need advertising anymore.

At this point, there is no better way to promote services associated with Bitcoin than a signature campaign on Bitcointalk.
With the increase of Bitcoin price, will naturally fell reward for posting.
Increased popularity of Bitcoin can only increase the number of campaigns.

Benefits vs Consequences is always a major theme in currency. You look at your costs and you look at your profits and based off that you can make an assumption of whether or not something is worth investing in/buying/whatever else someone can do with that money. Signature Campaigns were made for advertising and bringing attention to products or sites (often gambling). I'll focus on gambling for this example. Gambling can allow for the player to win big on occasion, but generally, you have people losing their money. Now, when enough people lose their money to the house, then the creators of the gambling sites will run a LOT of profits. Thus, they're willing to give up some money for advertising and bringing more people who most likely will lose on their site and give them profits. So I think the signature campaign idea will last in the long run, given that gambling is still around and people still have the same mentality they do now when they gamble.

It will always depends on the campaign owner or the project/site ownet you can't blame if the campaign will last only for 1 week because that is only amount they give for the promotion of their project. And.as what I've observed the minimum week is 2-3 weeks and the others last long like my signature what I have wearing, its more than 2 years I guess and still running.

Signature campaigns in general will last as long as the company is able to gain customers from those ads. If you owned a website, would you advertise your site on google or a on non-brand shitty searching engine from the same price? You would choose google of course. It is because you will get more hits from google.

If signature holders post spam messages instead of quality content, sooner or later this forum will lose members who are here to read actual content. In result, signature campaigns will lose their power to make customers for the company which they are advertising. It is that day that the sig camps will die.

But there are times even a company will uses signature campaign for their advertising. I think the time that signature campaign will just die if the forum will not allow it anymore. Because as long as there a lot of members here that wants on joining signature campaigns it will last and it will remain if the advertising gets their result reliable.

It depends on what campaign you are referring to because every signature campaign has a different campaign manager and owner.
It can be the owner can no longer fund the campaign cause running a signature campaign costs a lot, or it can be when a signature campaign is not effective in promoting a certain site .
But overall, we could say signature campaigns will last for ever regardless of any specific campaigns which are currently active. Because, as long as bitcoin based businesses need to attract new customers or to make existing customers to be sticking within their business, they will be in need to continue their campaigns.

I predict when bitcoin prices reaches huge levels in near future, there would be some 200 to 500 campaigns will be running here as there would be up to 25% of world population will be using bitcoin payments/investments for their life.

Bitcointalk os biggest bitcoin community. Signature campaign is most effective way to reach these people. By starting signature campaign companies want not only advertise, but also gain trust from users. And new services are starting very often. I think signature campaigns will last long. Only thing which can stop signature campaigns is moderators if they may want to reduce crazy amount of spam.

I agree with  you  bitcointalk is  the  biggest  bitcoin community of all time. Signature campaign  is the  most common way  to advertise  your website or service and  its somehow  effective though because  lots of people would  surely see your site because   there are  lots  of traffic here on this forum. but as of  these days   i think signature campaign would  last for more as  long there are  companies or website owners would   put  up  investment  regarding on their marketting.

Or similar rates to google adsense will be paid out for people posting here. Why wasn't that your first thought? Obviously it's working and people are seeing ROI or they wouldn't continue advertising on bitcointalk. It's a very targeted/niche audience we have here so clearly if you're advertising a service using bitcoins you'll want exposure here.

I don't think so. Advertise on Adsense and another good networks are very expensive. Some businesses aren't interested in spend a lot of money on it if they can pay less money for members of forum promote it.

I hope more people join us here on forum and more people create new signature campaigns, so everybody can earn some money here.

I think signature campaign make bitcointalk become unique. This distinguishes between Bitcointalk forum and other crypto-related forums. As long as bitcointalk is still running, signature campaign will continue to survive either Bitcoin's price increase or not. And most of the managers choose signature campaign as a method of advertising because it is very effective and valuable

True, I must agree on that..

...and I think signature campaigns will stay and be in use for as long bitcoin will be present among us.I believe those ads are focused on minority of population, so those who use, read about or they in any way familiar with cryptocurrencies in general.

No one  really knows  on when  signature  campaign  would last  because it really depends  to a  manager  or owner  of a certain site if   he  intends or decide to put  up funds for their  marketing   on their   investments  or services. Inflation of price  of bitcoin doesnt matter  though  because if   it rises  it only add up a small amount   . If signature campaigns would  be gone on this  forum for sure the  traffic would drastically dropped  for sure.

Just always remember that no one really knows until a campaign would last whether it would e signature or twitter campaign.

And don't think that they are permanent even though the result of their advertising has been great and successful.

Because out of their success its either they will continue to market their services or products with those campaigns or confidently stop it.
Every thing in marketing how you are promoting or starting a campaign we can not know the business if successful or not. it is always depends in your marketing strategy how you promote your site they are just using signature campaign here because its more members joined in our forum and it is related too in bitcoin..  those adnetworks is just an help to your campaign to increase your visitors and sales..  and everything are always starting in try and error until they are making a good profit in their business..

If you talk about the company who run signature campaign it's depends on how much enough their amount to advertising on this forum via signature member or how much their target to attract people to use/be a customers for their service/products.

If you talking about signature campaign features which can be use as earning from this forum, it's depends to admin here to make it legal to advertising on this forum. And I think signature campaign push people to active on this forum.

and as for your popular ad networks, they never work better because this forum is the main focus of all the bitcoin users in the world whereas those ad networks are going to be on some random website with little traffic. and don't forget "ad-blocks" which will easily add all those Google Adsense and other banner ads.
Indeed, I've disabled ad-block only in a few sites but I rarely click any of their ads when I visit them and as far as I remember I never bought any these products.
On the other hand I tried many of the services that are advertised here and I am  sure that I am not the only one. That's why signature campaigns will keep going as long as this forum is online and active, they are one of the most effective ways to promote any Bitcoin related business.

Price increases might result in lower bitcoin-denominated payouts for signature campaigns, but I don't think they will result in the end of signature campaigns.

Any campaign running should already have their funds put aside for the duration of the advertising campaign they are running so price fluctuation should play no part.
Some campaigns may drop their rates if the price keeps going up but they should at least keep the same rate going until the funds that have been allocated for the current campaign run out.
Further, most campaigns are gambling campaigns, and they don't immediately lose income due to price spikes.
Really, i thought casinos would be the first to see a downturn in business when the price spikes. I only gamble maybe once a month but when the price rises like it has over the past week i wont play because it just costs me more, i guess the payoff is you will always win more in the way of fiat value but i just thought casinos would see a drop in business when the price goes up.

Because signature campaigns aren't being discussed often enough already, right?

Bitcoin will be hitting its peak and probably surpass it very soon looking at the current rate.
That's a pretty bold prediction, I don't know if many would agree here.

but ofcourse there are low budget campaign that closes when price spikes
Where comes that idea from that price movements kill small campaigns?
I've been running a tiny campaign (compared to the 100s and 200s bitmixer/yobit/secondstrade are doing) ever since we've been  in the low 300 area.
With the price sticking around 700 these days, we're still up and running, strong as ever.

Price spike may effect the pay rate per post in some signature campaigns as well as this can also stop few low budget signature campaigns. But i don't think a-ads, mellow ads like adnetwork can reach the type of members that can be reached by signature campaign in this forum. If you see those adnetworks ads are mostly used in faucets and micro earning webpages so conversion rate from those types of members may not be good enough for bitcoin casino, bitcoin mixing and altcoin IPO services and for them to reach their targeted hardcore bitcoin users this forum is good place.
Any campaign running should already have their funds put aside for the duration of the advertising campaign they are running so price fluctuation should play no part.
Some campaigns may drop their rates if the price keeps going up but they should at least keep the same rate going until the funds that have been allocated for the current campaign run out.

Well it depends and I don't think the price will matte much on whether a campaign will last or not. I the price rise they can just reduce the payrate. If price fall they will increase the price. If they want to continue the promotion they will continue. See wha I mean?

Why do you think it's important to discuss ? You shouldn't be bothering about it unless you have a full time employment here through sig campaigns.Because many do.

The  day forum stops getting traffic, end of signature campaigns.

No,people don't really bother those adds.Advertising here is like directly introducing the products to the community who actually use the product instead of 3rd party sites which depend on the selective traffic.

I would say it will last very long term, at least 5 years. Unless bitcoin is dead or the forum bans any form of signature campaigns, which these two do highly unlikely happen.

Firstly, I compare the price, Ad networks like google adsense is expensive than signature campaign, and can be cheated on ad clicking. I remember one click can earn 0.5-2 eur when I cheated in google adsense network, google earns money too, so one click of ad will need 1-4 euros fee IMO. It will be very expensive way to promote.

Secondly, btc companies/service providers have their specific potential customers, most of them are in the forum, not in the whole internet world.

I'm not sure. Maybe it will disappear soon or maybe it won't. Who knows. However, I don't think that more people joining bitcoin will be a bad thing for the signature campaigns... In fact it would mean more viewers for the ads.

you are right , after the highest peak of bitcoin famouse quality will make somewhat less useful this forum but still i am sure that adsense ad platform will be less useful then this forum .
here in this forum every person is bitcoiner and direct advertising deals many publisher and advertiser , so less amount of money spent in the advertisement so i think in future new bitcoin site will also prefer to use BITCOINTALK instead of adsense .

It depends on the company or group/owner who is sponsoring it. There are signature campaign that is running for several years now, there are others running for a month etc. As long as the sponsor is earning, and having extra cash for signature campaign, it still on going. When funds dries up, maybe its the end.

Mostly depends on how much budget they planned to use for advertising, some sites have big budget and even the price of btc kicks they are still there like bitmixer but ofcourse there are low budget campaign that closes when price spikes

Well i think depend on manajer signature campaign and the owner how long the signature campaign will be survive,  although bitcoin become more popular and there are many people who use it. In my opinion signature campaign become good choice because bitcointalk is center of informations about bitcoin and other coins.
