Hi guys, sorry if this has been covered somewhere ( I did a search and I couldn't find an answere)

How many antminer u1's can you have on a usb channel? (Assuming that the ants are on a powered hub)

The reason I ask is I am looking at my old raspberry pi, and wondering how many it can handle?

Thanks in advance Smiley

I have one of these:
http://thepihut.com/products/7-port-usb-hub-for-the-raspberry-pi

It works perfectly with a Raspberry Pi and two Antminer U1s. I haven't tried more than two.

It's powered by a 5 volt 2 amp transformer, so a maximum of 10 watts.  It might handle four Antminer U1s.

Good luck getting them stable on a RaspberryPi.  The Pi's USB is broken, not helped by the NIC hanging off the broken USB bus.  It was designed for a keyboard and mouse, not running several Gigahashes of miners.

You'll need a USB2 hub, and most (maybe all?) of those don't provide enough power to run an Antminer U1.  The Pi won't work with a USB3 hub.
