Mr Flavius, do you have that all in one address or is it split up into many? Would you mind telling us how many coins in how many addresses? Or just round numbers?

There's a list here of the 400+ richest bitcoin addresses, check out if you're there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=92423.260

I sold all mine a few days ago for about $101-$100 each. I had about 610 bitcoin before I sold.

I plan on buying more when it bottoms out which could be some time from now.

I still very much believe in Bitcoin for the future however wild speculative bubbles followed by crashes like this won't do it much good.

Sure they will... Bubbles attract business people who recognize that this is part of the price discovery process for any new asset.  It will take a few months for the new businesses to get off the ground, but at least Bitcoin is on their radar now.

Bitcoin first attracted my attention when it crashed in 2011. Smiley

I sold half my coins at $97, and kept the other half.

If it goes down far enough, I can buy back and have more coins, and maybe keep some of the fiat.

If it goes up far enough, I wont care about having cashed out half my stash at $97.

With so many waiting for the bottom, many are going to miss it badly, I think we are in for a few weeks of sideways movement, and then a big spike back up, possibly into triple figures when peoples patience runs out.

This is what my uneducated gut is telling me, but my mind is second guessing it.  Last time I allowed my brain to supersede my gut I lost out on the big sell-off and barely broke even, selling what I didn't need for services.  I tried to hang on to a few, but to no avail.
After reading all the experienced bitcoiners' posts saying it will drop again shortly, it really makes it a tough call.  Most of the press I have read since yesterday has been positive(which is shocking and confusing).

Buying in at 69-70 sounds great if it's not going down any further. -.-

The rule of Bitcoin: Never sell it lower than it's bought.

Good luck with that great strategy.

The past is done, don't think about your total loses. You need to make money now and selling at a relatively higher price is still a profit that can go towards your loss.

I have just played around with a fraction of a coin that I made mining the first days of the bubble.
-At first I thought it was to litte to put into MtGox, but tried, and it worked.
I am up about 25% after playing around a little. Much better than the small amount I used at bitcoinbet....

Still waiting for my small wire-tranfer to come trough Tongue, should give me more legroom.:-)

Thinking of upgrading my 85Mhash GPU for a dual card setup and join the mining fun. Cool
And if BTC goes completely bust, it still seems fun, and I can always play games with a couple of badass GPU's

Same amount, didn't buy or sell.

If you lost the chance to sell high relative to the purchase price, then you incur an opportunity cost. If you bought high you have a capital loss. Even if you tuck your head in the sand and mumble "aaaabaaabababaaaa my bitcoins are all I need aaaaa..." you are still losing money during price swings.

Just spent all my USD on gox to buy at 57. Now it's over 1000.
