I looked at drawing and there isonly 2 pci-e 16x slots and two pci-e 1x slots, by that table it is 5 slots, than with some tweaking you may run up to 5 cards. There is sometimes problem with one pci-e 1x slots, but it should run.

In the layout there are 3 pciex1 ( top 2.5, middle2.5, bottom 5)

that is great

THANKS!!!

It also depends on the type of cards though. Even though you can theoretically have 5 cards, if you try and put e.g. 5 x 7990's on there, apart from the power supply to the card issue (which is solvable with more power supplies), the cards themselves will starve the PCI bus of power, causing the machine not to boot.

It's generally simpler getting more cheaper motherboards - also if you have a crash, you don't have 5 GPU's going down.

You can use 4 cards on that PC.
Which slots can be used the 2 pcie x16 and the the two gray pcie x1 slots or can it be any of the 3 (2 gray (2.5gt/s) and 1 blue (5Gt/s)) pcie x1?

Your reasons if you would kindly please. How did you get to that conclusion from the tables? Did you just count the number of pcie in slot "A"?  Huh

Miner Setup And Reviews. WASP Rep.

Why do you think he can use only 4 Graphic cards ? I am also curios what do you think is it possible to insrease the amount of cards by changing other PC insides?

He can only use the 16x and 1x ports. Depending on the graphics cards and the efficiency of that power supply 1500w should be enough. He could change the "insides" to get a different motherboard and another psu if he wanted 7 cards.

Hey guys;

Was wondering if it possible to add 1 to 3 more cards to my pc for mining? I have a Asus P7H57D-V EVO motherboard with a I7-875k @ 4Ghz processor and 1500w thermaltake thoughpower.

Motherboard has the following pcie:
2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode) one used, waiting for the other card to be placed here.

1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 (5GT/s, blue slot)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 (2.5GT/s, gray slots)

I have these three pcie x1 slots and am wondering if its possible to connect 1 to 3 cards on them will be powered from a separate psu.
I will be using a powered pciex16 to pcie x1 riser with the usb cables for ease of maneuverability of pc in case I need to move it for clean up or other reasons.

Checked manual and saw the IRQ assignments tried to read about but didn't get it.

If you can please shed some light that would grateful.  Kiss
