how many fees should i pay for 0.2 btc transaction?

last time (few months ago) i sent 0.07 btc with 10k satoshi fee and it never reach to its destination. i got back only 0.02 btc and the rest of 0.05 btc are still locked at some block....

so how much fees should i pay so i will not lose my money again?

thanks!

Sure if you pay more in fees your transaction would take less time, but in my case i even transacted 0.4btc with just minimum fees and it did not face any problems at all, so for an amount like that you can also get the transaction done with 10k satoshi which is minimum fees amount, and my transaction never took much time as well.

The fees you mentioned is more than enough for this transaction to complete ,it might take some time for getting one confirmation with low fees but then i am surprised to hear you got back 0.02 ,can you post the transaction ID here.
if you want a high priority transaction you can use 50k to 80 k for 0.2 btc ,if its not a high priority transaction then you can send with minimal fees.

Put half a millibitcoin and you'll be more than fine. Even put one millibitcoin and it will be blazingly fast !

I always use the recommended fees to to feel the most secure that coins will reach their destination. But despite that it might happen that coins remain blocked somwhere. But I also have to notice that blockchain wallet fees are prety high now.

There is no right or wrong answer to your question. Fees should be completely different every day based on how full each block is. I've been sending transactions at about 100+ Satoshis/byte and that seems to go through just fine in a few blocks. Other days 20 Satoshis/byte will be enough.

It also depends if the funds were from 10,000 faucet payouts or if it was all one transaction. Transaction sizes are bigger if you received a lot of tiny amounts.

Your wallet should have dynamic fee options to let you know how much you should be spending on any given day. Right now I'm finding fees to be much higher than the recent past.

It's never about the amount but the size of the transaction in which is composed of output and input addresses. 80 to 90 Satoshi per bytes is the least recommended fee for now so you would get confirmations within the next block.

use the recommended fee, i see that the recommended fee has increased with the recent stuck of all the transaction, if you use that fee you will never get a problem, so don't always rely on the "10k satoshi" fee, soe times it's not enough

Just recently withdrawn a  0.07 bitcoin from an  exchange, the transaction fee is 50,000 satoshis. It seems that charges is quite up now, this is maybe from a certain problem since last day?

Paying 0.00015 BTC (~0.10$) should be more then enough to get your transaction confirmed. Usually , the wallet (most of them) put the recommended fees without you change anything.
