I'm specifically talking about Bitcoin.
It would be very interesting to know how many non crypto users have been tempted to have a dabble by its presence in the app. If you're already signed up you may not bother to shop elsewhere. At least it's better than almost all ATMs and many a Localbitcoins rate.
I actually tried out cash app today buying $100 USD and then transferred it to ShorelineCrypto exchange for a trade. It was decent experience.
Yes, Cash App fee of $1.77 USD for 100 USD perchase is quite high price. However, there seems to be no fee on withdrawal.
$100 USD value was transferred to exchange with fee of $1.77 USD at purchase. Not cheap to speak of, but reasonable. Bitcoin transfer fees are high for small amount USD. Cash App may not be good for large dollar bitcoin trading/transferring, but good for small USD dollar bitcoin handling.
