I withdrew $60k from Gox in June/July and had no problems.  Has something changed?

Yeah, 4 months for a 900€ SEPA, dated from july 19.

Gox is dead for me, i never will use their services again.
That is strange. I did a SEPA withdrawal of about 300€ from Mt.Gox about two weeks ago. It took less than 24 hours to appear on my bank account.
There is a limit of one Mt.Gox SEPA withdrawal per 20 days (see their FAQs). So the first withdrawal will be fairly quick, with additional ones taking more time. I have a few in the queue myself.

Jesuschrist... you deserve some kind of medal of patience or something.

lol... you don't seem to be aware what's going on at Gox.

I'm still missing transfers from June. Why do you think they trade above market price all the time?

You CAN withdraw money from Gox, but it takes more than a month and a half!

The price can absolutely go down.  Those at Gox will have to choose to move into cash they can't withdrawal or BTC that's value is dropping.  But Gox will not keep the whole market propped up.  Cash is still fine on Gox, especially if you plan to buy back more coin at the bottom so the OP theory is just dumb.

even tho BTC isn't big in Japan Gox just made it a whole lot easier to deposit/withdraw from Japanese bank accounts. I guess the regulations here aren't as restrictive as in the US, but good for people in Jpn tho.

Those who have millions on balance, probably just go to Japan and register an account in gox's bank to make internal transfer.

Yeah, they're an embarrassment to Japan.  The Japanese government should do something about them.

the  price cant go down because real money cant be withdrawn

thus, after every trade, the seller must buy again, at some point

the bid volume is always the same

thanks mtgox Kiss
