Odds are odds no matter what has happened in the passed. Assuming you're always on a probably fair gambling site you'll always have the same odds whether you're on a hot streak, which btw there is no such thing, or not. Keeping a log of past bets is fine if you want to make a chart or something but if you're playing 50/50 odds you'll always see that the house edge is just a little bit better odds.
keeping logs is a great way to start counting how much do you spend for gambling, it can be a tool to control your budget in gambling also it can show do you really earned any profit from gambling, also you can set a better bankroll management, so it is a good way to control your gambling
I have never thought keeping logs like this but i also think this is good idea and may help you manage your bankroll as well as you can also limit your losses. I think I will find it hard to keep all of my gambling logs because whenever i loss, i used to get frustrated and don't want to spend anymore time in that site and when i win big i try to left site so that i will not loss what i have won.

For me I just take a mental note of how much I am gambling. I just, for example, a lot around 0.01 for the month as my gambling fund. When that bank roll is gone, I just quit for the month and wait for next month. But if that amount still remains after that month then I withdraw it and place another 0.01 as my new bankroll.

Is this part of your new years resolution? Its a nice way of keeping track of your spending's and if you are well disciplined enough you will be able to stop when you hit your limit if you have daily, weekly or monthly limit. Its the same as real life tracking of your expenses and monitoring which expenses you still get rid off. how many of you are doing the same as i am?

It's not necessary you have to do it in excel, you can write it in a plain paper and there you go. Please put in mind that monitoring our performance in gambling is very important, especially when we are planning to stay long, it will tell you on how are you doing and will certainly help you to make the right decision whether to quit or continue.

Well done, you like a good gambler, because i also do it, but not in an excel sheet, i do it only in paper, because i am not play gambling in everyday. But it is really a good idea, for professional gamblers, also it help us to recover our lose and in this way we control us not to be addicted. I mean we can manage our money in gambling, and not play only for winning.
It is very important if you are aiming for profit, with logs you are starting to treat what you are doing like you are having a business or you are into investment. That logs will tell you on how you perform in gambling and with that you can analyze what happened so you can improve your strategy to help you reach your goal to be profitable.
I think you're making a sensible move, but you do not need to do that to me. I'm doing some leagues and matches in excel file and I analyze them by looking at them.
But of course, there are only leagues that I trust when I do this. I am comparing them on a few sites I am used to and I am betting on the match.

Well i am not doing and save any record or logs in my own spreadsheet if am actually making profit or not because i am not targeting large profit or targeting to reduce my gambling activity i just gamble with enjoyment and gamble just to try my luck.. how many of you are doing the same as i am?
Keeping logs to your bets can gives you idea to know how much you are spending how much you are making profit or how much you are lose in total..
So if you keep losing and lose a large amount of money in gambling better to reduce you gambling activity or reduce your bet amount..or if you are making good profit just stay what you are doing..
I always keep logs to track my win loss and also profit or loss for the year. By doing this I can see if I had a good year or bad year and I normally keep different logs for different sports to see which sport I need to improve on in the next year or in the next few months. So I think by keeping logs of your bets is vital, well for me they are as everyone is different when it comes to betting.

you got it correct man. and i mostly meant this topic to be like a suggestion to all the gamblers on this board to maybe they start keeping logs too.
i used to think i am losing lots of money on gambling, and you know after a while the losses become so much harder so you mentally think you are losing a lot more. but even since i started keeping tabs on my amounts i realized that things aren't that grim, and i actually make profit sometimes too.

I think that you play dice and casino games aren't you? I usually gamble in sport games and I keep logs not only to see btcs win or lose but which teams, I prefer soccer, are profitable. So I adjust my bets dividing teams as low, mid and high risk and according my predictions I change my bet.

i don't save my logs in gambling because i know that my loss is still big than my winning so i think i am not expecting too much for the logs. beside that, i am not good to make a file of excel and i don't have time to make a file for my logs in gambling. but for you, i think you can learn many thing from your logs and you can make success in the gambling industry.

Keeping logs are just for people who are serious on making money on playing gambling but for people do just treat it as an entertainment then they would not bother to do logs.It still depends on a person if he would like to see if he's good enough on gambling industry and if he found out that he lose too much then he might decide to stop to prevent further loss which is somehow a useful thing too. how many of you are doing the same as i am?
it is very effective if you are sensitive about your starting capital tracing the actual amount of your bets and segregate both wins and loses might be a good thing for you in order to check if you still have good streak or you needed to stop for a while and relax, its very useful for sure many of us here will follow this mate, thanks for sharing.
Its actually good because anything one is doing there is need to keep records whether good or bad same goes for gambling because it will enable you know your true position and based on that, make a decision whether to continue or not. Not that you will think you're winning whereas you losing overall in total.
This is effective and i am already doing this , besides keeping a log i also have my limits if i win % of bankroll i'll stop and if i lose my % of bankroll i'll stop in that way i will be able to see and control my money effectively.

The positive part of keeping logs is you actually know what is happening on your gambling career. If you keep records every time you will gamble, you can see how effective you have been gambling and if you also can notice with those logs that you are not that productive for the past days. It depends on what type of gambling are we talking about here if it's dice it'll be time consuming to do because you need to list every roll. For sports betting it's effective if you always bet daily to keep track of your record and profit.

you usually keep a record of your totals not every single bet. you can even do this mentally without writing this down if you make limited number of bets in other games.
but as for dice you can easily save up your final results, for example make a log of your starting amount today and then write down how much bitcoin you finish today with.

Thats a good way to manage your money. All gamblers must do this. Controling your funds a must when you are on gambling. Its a good way to start. You will see your losses and profits through this. It will help you to avoid sudden losses.

Well its one way to make sure the win/lose ratio isnt off is you have like a 50 game in a row lose thats pretty weird.
So if you have logs to check back on loses or wins you can say for your self and have proof if something is up and you need it.
Tho its prob best to run a sim tho with odds and such before you really play.

that was a great idea because you can calculate how much money you had already lost or how much profit did you get during in a month from your gambling and you could compare your betting results for each month but actually i never did it before and i'm not interested to do sohow many of you are doing the same as i am?

That's a good start, keeping a log always makes gambling effective. Based upon the loss and win recorded you can select whether to continue gambling or quit. This serves as a proof who don't believe in your winning.
