Just wondering how much bitcoin you feel comfortable with an exchange holding while you trade. I'm not asking anyone and wouldn't recommend anyone detailing in the thread their finances.

I found that amount I am trading comfortably is changing as I got some experience with trading. As price of Bitcoin is rising now I am usualy trading with 0.5 - 1 BTC.

Ive chose 0.2 btc or even less amount to make trades or buying an altcoin because i cant be sure if those coins i have bought does have potential or just a total shitcoin. With that amount i do divide it on buying more than one altcoin because i do really like to diversify it and i do hold some amounts on exchange for a short period of time depending on me.

Though I have trade bitcoin and altcoins with minimal amount I can trade with large amounts. I made over 50% profit monthly trading. If I enlarged my trading capital  and reduce my risk level by 10% I should be able to make 30% profit consistently per month.

0.2-0.49 BTC but for altcoin purpose only because basically i do not trust 100% to exchange and quite worry if i save huge amount of bitcoin so i don't dare to save my bitcoin more than those amount and usually i separated it between several exchange

I can afford to use up 1-2 BTC on doing trading on every exchange which i used to trade since i can able to maximize my btc to purchase potential alts.Im scared and do know the risk of exchange hacks or whatsoever but as long i do make money i usually pull out my capital an re-rolling the profits that i have gained. Rinse and repeat and it should be fine.

I also don't put a lot in trading because altcoins are not as stable yet as the value of bitcoin. Plus can you see the value of bitcoin now? I t has skyrocketed out of nowhere and is almost $2500 which means most of the altcoins will be dumping.

I only trade small amount since bitcoin is very strong right now. No guarantee that altcoins will pump because all the volumes are on bitcoin right now. Maybe .5 btc is enough for now. Its still good time to buy altcoins because they are getting cheap because whales are dumping them. But not recommended to go all in. Bitcoin can still pump. Just wait till they dump.

I don't put a long in a single coin. Most of the time I will invest minimum amount, probably used to invest less than 0.5 btc and based on the growth experiencd used to increase the investment capital. Even at times when the price drop happens soon used to convert it back to btc.

not all of us have the Zapp Brannigan's courage so we go in with smaller amounts.
i actually started my trading with a tiny amount of Dogecoins, it makes me laugh when i think about how small it was. it was about 100 Doge when price was ~70 satoshi back in 2014ish.
and i did the trading on Cex.io because back then they didn't have the silly 0.01BTC min volume for trading. they didn't have any limitations. i was trading 10 doge at a time, buying low selling high just to learn the tricks Smiley

how much i trade now is usually small too and i made it into a vote Wink

Bitcoin- in bullish time
1 Bitcoin is enough for me to trade in the exchangers and that is my max amount in putting some money in exchanger because i believe that 1 bitcoin is enough to buy a lot of cheap altcoins in the market and also do scalping or short trading and earn decent profits in just a short period of time. Above 1 bitcoin is too much and risky for me because i only put what i can afford to lose.

I never put too many coins in exchanger because the risk is quite high, but for now I need to put more coin to trade because almost all of the alt coin and bitcoin price is rising,  I think 0.5 BTC will be enough for me to feel comfortable

as the value of bitcoin is increasing from time to time therefore i think in present time 0.5 to 1 bitcoin will be enough for me to feel confident while trading altcoin, or even to use it for shopping online.
