I don't use the dark markets and have never been there. What do places like alphabay take now, bitcoin only? Do any of these places take coins like Dash, which is supposed to be tailored for dark markets? I'm genuinely curious and very ignorant of this sort of thing.

monero fans were definitely the most irritating people on here before eth took over.

as for the original question, it's not been implemented yet on most of them so this is all speculation, but so is everything else including bitcoin.

- aggressive marketing, please show me this... monero doesn't even have a marketing team... just lots of enthousiasts... this is in stark contrast to some other coins who have funded marketing teams and who buy online coverage...

- actually the supply has ben pretty high, unless I am totally mistaken, I would like you to show some numbers about supply that support your claim...

- might be an excuse, though I think it's more about utility, monero has an actual usecase now, this again in stark contrast to lots of other coins who promise a lot, but who actually bring nothing new... monero brings total anonimity and thus fungibility, read that again, F U N G I B I L I T Y....

If you start like this, basically Bitcoin is useless too, since you can pay with USD.
Let's be constructive....

Monero has its "benefits" to criminals, since it is untraceable. This means that unlike the credit/debit card or even Bitcoin, nobody will know what he was paying for. And unlike physical cash, you can use Monero online.
How much is used now? A tiny amount. How much will be used in the future? It's hard to tell, but some speculate that it'll be A LOT, hence the jump in price.
Of course it may be a pump in progress (I have been thinking a lot on that), but the amounts of money involved make me think it's more than that.
It's a MtGox type manipulation at Poloniex? That looks more possible than a pump imho.
