Shortsighted.  If they can truly pull off a decentralized exchange system, then it will replace bitcoin.  No question:

Because then you have:
1) all the benefits of bitcoin
2) a medium of exchange between currencies.

Ripples can be used as exchange fees between those that utilize "trust" with other friends, but it can also be used as a medium of transfer between currencies.

If the Ripple servers are centralized, it won't matter.  The idea of ripple, however, is interesting, and I wish they'd release the source code sooner than later so we can actually do something with it.  Or maybe someone could invent a debt-based system with a blockchain detailing what debts are owed to who.

xrp are not suppose to be traded like another pump-dump alt coin.

it suppose to be used as the transaction fee's for the ripple developers.

so the true question and answer is
Q: How much is my 40k Ripple worth?
A: 40k transactions

atleast try learning what these services are entended to be used for

Transaction fees are 0.0001 XRP...

XRP do have value actually, because people value XRP, as we can see by the current exchange rate with BTC. Also, the "price" for one transaction in the ripple network is much less than 1 XRP, so you're answer isn't really correct in that sense either.

at_least try learning what these services are intended to be used for

If you have to tell someone how they "should" think about how they use something because they are using it the "wrong" way, then the system is obviously flawed and badly designed for the intended purpose.

I traded all my Ripple at therocktrading.com. Ripple is just another DigiCash that will fail. In the mean time, if they want to blow 9 figures marketing it, I'll cash in.

Actually you can view ripple charts here:

https://ripplecharts.com/market/XRP/USD:Bitstamp ( You may need to flip it).

Ripple has some real haters, but if they get it right it could go big. I'm holding mine. Volume and price are moving in the right direction.

Who cares? If you think it's a scam like most people do it's a good thing to sell it immediatly

A few bitcoins actually. Around 5-6.

How do you know that? Where can I exchange them?
The process is a bit complex. But you'd need an account at bitstamp.net(the domain is correct, right?) and then an account in ripple.com(which you should have).

Use this guide: https://ripple.com/blog/how-to-currency-trades-on-the-ripple-network/

It takes 1 min if you already have bitstamp account.

Lovely, thank you
