you mean CPU mining can work? I earn a mere 15 cents per day from my CPU I am thinking of turning it off. Chance is the CPU mining will make my computer consumes more power that will make it bad.

decent card blower style  a bit loud

Nice find on those diamond cards at that price point -- I used to use Diamond product back in the 90s, have you bought any of these?

yeah for 250 Sad back in the summer.

I ran them for 4 months sold them.  they worked well.

as always a bit noisy but well worth 200 bucks.

I can use paypal and 6 months to pay.  or paypal and 1% back.

For now I am not expanding the rigs.

as for mobo ram lets say 4gb and  a shit cpu  will work.

but I prefer 1x 8gb stick or 2x 4gb sticks  and a used i5 cpu from ebay.

this is 2x the cost of a g4400
but it will pay back if you mine eth+decred  as I can set very high intensity

I am not asking for the memory in the video card. I am asking for the memory in the computer.

Alt coin mining do not seem to require tons of memory

Yeah, also philip was talking about RAM on the mobo and not on GPUs.
I am currently mining on 6GPU rigs with just 4Gb of memory and 32Gb off virtual memory.

More details: I am mining ETH or ETH+something and I do not have any problem
Maybe it's different if you mine ZEC or some other algo, but i don't think so

I wonder what CPU memory is for?

I would say the answer here is subjective.

On a Windows Rig, I put 16GB in

On a Linux Rig, I would go with 8GB

4 GB? 8 GB?

I think I need SSD 120GB for operating system to save power.\

Then I would need a mobo with tons of pci-e

I still don't understand something. Why pci-e 1 x is enough for alt coin mining? Does mining alt coins do not require too much bandwidth or what? Will this reduce GPU performance?

I think that is all right?

8gb

an ssd is good.
