How much money do you think you need, to fully retire and never have to work again and why ?

About 1 BTC would do for me lol, but that is only because of the "magic" of hyperinflation. Should this garbage economy ever recovers (probably only after the government "somehow" collapses) i guess about 10 BTC would do, of course no luxuries, simply basic needs which is how the vast majority survives here anyway.

I'm guessing most people living in rich countries would need at least 100 BTC.

Very good question. I'd reckon at least a few million dollars.

I'll make the majority of the funds work for me (i.e. investing) while leaving some for spending pleasures.

i am on my mid years of working so i only need at least half a million dolalrs to 1 million to satisfy my luxurious life with my wife, the problem is i have kids that need to bring to school so if i dont work at least i need also amount to support them until they finished college so maybe another half a million for them.

If its just for me, I think 10 million would be enough. Im not that suited for luxury anyway.
$10M is too much but if you're living in a high cost living country, this is more than enough.

Estimating the means of our living, I think from $350,000 - $1M is already enough for me. I wouldn't spend the whole amount just for vacations or luxuries, I'll use it to make more money so that while I'm on retirement, my cash flow is continuous.
