Right. It is called burst posting. Most of members who do that are  local poster or the account farmers. You can post as many times as you want but please don't do it where the time interval of your post is 5-10 mins. Don't even try that when you are participating in a sig campaign.

It's not the number of posts you make, it's the quality of said posts. If you're making helpful posts that contribute to a discussion or help someone (and have effort put into them), you can make as many as you can muster. If you're only posting shit in Off Topic threads, then you're a lot likely to be seen as a spammer and be treated as such - hint hint.
