For the AMD cards on the windows, the maximum GPU you can have is 8 in a system. In linux, you can have more.

i remember that a mod can allow you to have more than  8, or is that mod that allow you maximum of 8 gpu? but also isn't dangerous to have that many for the motherboard, it can not sustain that wattage

i have plan to buying msi z87 g45 (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z87-G45-GAMING.html) 7slot pcie for vga, then buying 7 tool to push the limit vga to 21vga, it's posible or not ? so in 1 rig i will use 21vga ? because with this method i can save some amount for not buying new processor and motherboard.

21 gpu is crazy no motherboard will detect that lol, also like i said there will be power problem, i would not do that too much risk imho, and anyway ihow you will connect 3-4 psu together to power all those gpu?

The maximum of 8GPU limit is caused by the AMD driver and the Windows system. So there is no way to have more than 8.

we can use jumper for make each psu running, this is just my opinion, im never tested, maybe someone interesting to try it.

i heard from my friend that one motherboards can handle from 4 until 6 vga cards in on place but i am not yet to see my friends rig. but if its true, i will suggest you to buy motherboards which can handle 6 vga cards. maybe the price is too expensive, but you can get ROI in just 4 months like my friends, and if you don't use the vga cards again, then you can selling it into your friends.

i think for mining eth or etc still can get profit for now, unless the rate is going down too deep, but so far i think its could give you some profit.

I run Asrock H81 BTC Pro boards with six gpu:s under Windows 10. No hazzle or hacking to get it going.

not possible to do that.

Think six cards per board.

6vga is the maximum of each rig ? if im using z87 motherboard, 1vga can't detected?

It's a nice device but you need to have lots of rigs, with different motherboards, in order to experiment with it. Lots of motherboards won't benefit from this, but some will. I have a friend who have this multiplier on an h81 pro btc and he is able to use 7 cards total on this rig.

Driver limits make that "3 in one" extender pretty close to worthless, unless you're running a micro-ITX or mni-ATX board that only has 3 PCI-E slots or less.

If you're running a full ATX motherboard, just get one that has enough slots natively - it will be more reliable as you're not needing to plug PCI-E risers into an extender for a DOUBLE whammy of potential connector issues.

That was the lbr mod, for up to 8 GPU. There is 8 GPU limit on the Windows for the AMD cards. For certain boards, you can have 4x7990 without the mod.

It depends on the motherboard, how many cards you can use. Some motherboards can't even ultilize all their own PCIe ports at the same time.
