Hmm .. actually when I found out about Bitcoin it was merely a few thousand I think but I didn't start to trade immediately and took a while to even understand how it works.

If I recall correctly, I found out about BTC when a PTC/GPT had a cashout option as Bitcoins. Then perhaps a couple years down the line, I started trading because the price was constantly going up those days and I had to get it.

I believe it was $7-10k when I actually started trading or just holding those days.

If I am not wrong, I started trading when the price of bitcoin was between $500-$1000. But I didn't think about buying and keeping it at that time and just making a profit.
Indeed, it is very painful when we are already in this year where the price of bitcoin has reached $69k.
We might blame ourselves for not preparing to save bitcoins in the past. But that's okay because we can still save bitcoins now to prepare for the future.

Those who have seen bitcoin under $100 and not bought and held it for a long time feel the same regret. But that's all in the past and we can't go back to that year.
We can only try to save bitcoin from now on before the price of bitcoin increases very high again.

There is no perfect time to start trading but what is important is that we are fully ready --capital, knowledge, and skills.
Lack of capital and enough knowledge were exactly the reasons why I couldn't start trading Bitcoin at the right time even though when I came to know about it the price was around $400 or something, I don't remember the month but it was 2016 and I was looking for ways to earn money online which lead me to Bitcoin faucets and that is how I came to know about an innovation that then changed my life later on by giving me financial stability at an age no one could expect one to have such a privilege where I was living.

When I started trading Bitcoin, I think it was already pretty expensive. I got late because I didn't have funds to buy any when it was still pretty cheap, though it wasn't that cheap for someone like me living in a place where $400 at that time used to be a lot of money for someone to have.

when I learned about cryptocurrency in general, Bitcoin was on its ATH, it was then worth about 20 thousand $.  Then, of course, I started trading at the wrong time.  It was not a very good experience, I did not know that this would happen, but when trading alts at that moment everything immediately began to fall.  I even remember how I bought XRP for $3.....
Damn! I mean buying Ripple at $3 wasn't a bad idea but their issues with SEC ruined the potential.

For me, I started to buy bitcoins when it was pretty cheap, I believe maybe even a thousand bucks! But I was more into earning them for free (there were various ways those days) rather than buying with fiat as there were not many options either. Later I discovered BTC-E (right?) and that is where I started taking BTC trading more seriously and gathered good amounts.

I think it was most likely in the 150-200$ range when i first started trading.
Mine was I think below $200 by that time. I'm not so sure and exact with the price but that's how it was I guess.

Before that i was just messing around and getting familiar with the scene. Now that i think about that, thats nearly x200
I understand and feel you because that was also me. I don't even know why there were different prices and I don't understand what's selling and buying price. I trade as if I'm an idiot and what happened during that time, I unknowingly that I am losing my trades by trying to convert and selling at market price.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

I think it doesn't matter how much we start investing in Bitcoin. The important thing here is that you know the importance and potential that it has and why you should invest in Bitcoin or maybe even in other cryptocurrencies.

Because if you only invest because of the hype, or if you just heard that someone you know got rich from it, or if you think of bitcoin as just gambling, the capital you use here will surely be wasted for sure in the end. But if you look at the longevity of Bitcoin and its potential, for sure you will not think about the long wait that you will have to hold it, but you will look at the value that it can give not only to you but to the family that can benefit from what you are doing.

I started to learn about Bitcoin since 2017 and I think the price during that time is already around $7k if I’m not mistaken and that is also the start of my first Bull run. That was a great experience to start my crypto journey, I’ve actually made a lot of good profit from trading, and the bounty as well. I don’t have any regret adapting crypto since then and I’m confident for a more great year to come with crypto.

What I got was around 235 dollars in bitcoin, at that time, I didn't know anything about bitcoin. It's just that the only thing on my mind at that time was the luck of having a lot of money to buy bitcoin at that time. It's like, at that time, I was jealous of those who had money because I believed in bitcoin and that its value would really increase.

You really had diamonds and gold at your feet back then but wasn't oppotune to use it well. I mean, you might not even have all you needed to buy full BTC but if you had bought it's little by little, you will today absolutely have more than one bitcoin considering that there were crash and ups and down that happened before the price grow to this level.

Even if you have $50 dollar in capital to trade back then, it's something that can get you good return if you are a great trader or let's even say you bought $50 of bitcoin today, you should have more money right now but as you said, you were only after having money and money.

Quote
That's why I was nothing during those times, because I didn't have a job during those times either. But it's really like that, just from time to time. Now, I hope I can experience a good profit during this upcoming bull run.

I don't think the opportunity of 2012 to 2018 will ever come again but anything is possible though but this unless bitcoin crash which I know people will buy it pretty fast, it will be very hard to have such opportunities some had in the past because if you don't have thousands of dollars, I don't see th  kind of profitw you are looking for in trading bitcoin but if you don't mind the profits, then I don't see any problem.

I started trading when Btc was around the range of 15-20K . Then the bull market slowly starts until we reach the all time high of 60k last three years. I was then a new trader at  that time so i missed out on so many opportunities should have take the short position when Btc was about to enter the Bear Market wish it was now so that i could sell the assets i hold at that time and avoid the losses in my portfolio.

I am in crypto industry from feb 2018.
When the price of bitcoin is moving near 3,000$. And I see Ethereum at 80$. But unfortunately, i am unable to full my bags, because of low funds. But i get small profits in every ERA when price of bitcoin pumps. I had never seen the 3,000$ price of bitcoin again. I feel after 100,000$ bitcoin price. We cannot see the price of 20K, 30K bitcoin price level.
It is still very normal if you get a small profit in every era of increase in Bitcoin, because when the price is low you don't have enough capital to buy more Bitcoin and Ethereum. But there are also a small number of people who are afraid to buy when they see prices are that low and they are even more often influenced by news that is not true about the market through any media. So the fear of buying becomes greater than their desire to accumulate more Bitcoin and Ethereum at that time.

To be very specific, I remember bitcoin dipping below $200 and me sitting like a dribbling moron at my keyboard wondering how low it was going to go.  I probably even posted about it, which would've been back in 2015.  Ugh.  I am not joking about that sinking feeling in my chest when I contemplate what could have been.

The only thing I console myself with when I start thinking of "what could have been" is the fact that I didn't know much about Bitcoin and I wasn't making much income back then to buy in Bitcoin. I know that's an excuse I tell myself because even though I didn't make enough back then I still made enough to buy Bitcoin if I really wanted to.
It gets worse when I think about the fact that my local currency has more value on the dollar back then so I wouldn't have spent as much as I will now to buy Bitcoin.

My trading journey is spanning to almost 2 decades now, and if I remember clearly, it was between 2004 and 2005 that I started trading. I can't confidently call the exact year for the fact that I first started gathering trading materials without acting on them before I later started reading and training on what I read.

As you can see, this was years before Bitcoin was even born and I can confidently say that the price of Bitcoin was still Zero ($0) when I started trading. But it took me years after Bitcoin was born to actually open my first trade on it and the reason is because I am already trading other aspects of the financial market.
I would guess that what they were trying to say was "what was the price of bitcoin when you first started to trade bitcoin", not when you started to trade in general, yes the wording was a bit wrong because it looks like there is a loophole and your answer would be a correct one considering how it was worded, but the mindset must be learning about the price of bitcoin when you first started trading bitcoin itself.

For me personally I always say that it was under 200 dollars for example, I can't possibly remember what the exact price was, but it was about under 200 dollars and I started to invest, not really trade because at the time it wasn't really trading worthy to me, it was mainly investment and I bought and hold and when it went up a bit I sold and bought something, I kept doing that up until it was already around 20k+ and then I started to trade, been doing that ever since and it's quite fun.

The BTC has changing his price every year if you see the price chart from past you will see the too much difference in every year if we see in 2021 the high price was 69k but In 2022 the price of BTC was low as 15476 dollars but now In 2023 as approximately 37500 dollars.in 2021 when I do a trade the BTC price was 60k dollars now I thinking why I didn't take in entry when it was came to low as 15476 dollars now my money would be double

Basically, there are several methods for trading Bitcoin, as is often done by many crypto users, for example: spot trading, Margin, Futures, these three methods are often used by most users, As far as I know, these three methods are carried out based on the current price of Bitcoin and so on, you could say it depends on the market situation.

So, it's hard to say the first Bitcoin price to trade, maybe I don't remember what price I started from, but overall I did it when Bitcoin was going down, It's up to you what the price is, but stick to market guidelines, charts, analysis, volume and so on.
For trading Bitcoin, it is not so important what the price was when you started trading, if it is day trading, or medium-term trading, then the price will be constantly different, and you will need to act according to the situation. And if you buy bitcoin for long-term transactions, then in this case the price will be of great importance, but everything regarding long-term transactions, from a year or more, I personally consider investing, it’s easier for me. In this case, you should calculate the average purchase price that you will get, this will be your purchase price.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
Although I knew about Cryptocurrency from long back but then my financial condition was not good for which I could not do trading. If I had a good amount of money at that time I would have definitely kept trading or investing in Bitcoin but I would have made double the profit now. If I had invested back then I would have had a lot of money and a fraction of the bitcoins today as the value of bitcoin has increased. However at that time I was very new and didn't know much about Bitcoin or trading that's why I didn't come into this line at that time. I first came to know about Bitcoin in 2020 and at that time the price of Bitcoin was very low, at that time I had no money to trade and no ideas and knowledge. That time was an interesting time when the price of Bitcoin was very low but I unfortunately could not participate in trading and investing due to financial problems.

I started trading in 2017-18. At that time I used to trade at bittrex, now I guess it has shut down operations. I am assuming at that time Bitcoins were at 600-700$. I was trading small amounts, as trading was still something new for me. I used to gamble a lot, and that too in Bitsler and Primedice. Really telling about this, giving me the nostalgic feeling. Willing to hear other people’s story on this.
Bittrex also gave a kind of first time memories with Bitcoin, because I also bought my first Bitcoin through Bittrex, Even I still have some crypto assets in Bittrex and I haven't had time to withdraw it.

There were actually many exchanges in the past that were popular, and eventually they shut down their operations permanently because the company lost money and there was also because of hacking.

But for gambling like Bitsler and Primdice I've never touched it.
I also remember some exchanges that gave me a lot of trading advantages such as Nova Exchange and Cryptopia which eventually closed due to hacking.

I couldn't totally remember the price but that was around $$8k - $10k. Though I knew Bitcoin earlier but due to the lack of interest and knowledge in trading, that makes me think about not doing it. But I never felt any regret because I'd see it was too difficult if you were not prepared well and just think that if I started earlier, I could imagine that I surely lose a lot of money.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

When I first learned about Bitcoin in 2013, it's price was still changing between 15-18 USD. It then took me some time to research and learn what it was and how I could buy it with the limited resources of that period and I bought my first Bitcoin at a price of approximately 80 USD. Of course, during these periods I mentioned since I was a student, I had a very limited capital and unfortunately I couldn't buy or sell for a very high amount. For this reason, unfortunately, I was never able to accumulate very high amounts of Bitcoin and was not among the millionaires who were investigate Bitcoin early. Still, during the periods I mentioned I was making very good profits by buying and selling Bitcoin and I was able to spend much more luxuriously than many of my friends.

Even though I couldn't become a Bitcoin millionaire, I covered many expenses using the money I earned from Bitcoin trading, had the opportunity to use the latest models of many technological products and covered my holiday expenses in many countries this way. For this reason, I am not angry with myself and I am proud of myself for meeting so many expenses by discovering Bitcoin early. Who knows, maybe this is my way of consoling myself for not being a millionaire.

I don't really remember how high the actual bitcoin price was at the time I started trading actively. When I first came into contact with crypto currencies was in 2016, back then the bitcoin price was around 4k USD, but I wasn't really trading it. Bitcoins where just another currency for me, with which I could withdraw money from CSGO skin trading sites quickly and cheaply. I wasn't really interested in keeping any of my coins and converted them back to Fiat money again. This was probably the biggest investment mistake I ever made. In 2017/8 I got more interested in bitcoins and started trading in small scale, the price was around 12,000 USD. But really interested in other crypto currencies I became in 2020 and trading Bitcoin more actively then was when the bitcoin price was already around the 20k USD levels. A lot of missed opportunities to make money, but there is no real point on feeling bad because we can't turn back time. The only way is forward, learn from the mistakes and not repeat them.

I vaguely remember btc being around $150, afaik time was around 2015. Although, I got into crypto couple years prior to that with stellar airdrop (now called lumens or $xlm), sold that for peanuts in fiat instead of converting it into btc.

OP when I first started trading in bitcoin the price of bitcoin was 25000 which was a few months ago this year.I had good success with my first bitcoin trading because I bought 800 to 900 dollars worth of bitcoins when the price of bitcoin was 25000 dollars. Now the price of Bitcoin has increased to about 37 thousand dollars.

Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones who got success trading first.I did one of the most important work of my life with the money I earned from that first trading.I'm even still buying bitcoins to hold in the future.

OP, you suck for making this a topic for a thread (lol).

I was never a trader, first of all.  But when I think back to the prices I had the opportunity to buy bitcoin (or ETH or any of the other altcoins that have blown up since their inception) I can get seriously depressed if I dwell on it too long.  Regret starts to seep in, and the voice in my head that is my enemy starts getting louder, and it keeps calling me a fucking idiot for not having faith in bitcoin even after I realized that it wasn't a scam--and that's indeed what my initial impression was of it.

When I started trading bitcoin, it was during the COVID-19 pandemic before the bull run. Bitcoin was around $10k, but actually it wasn’t stable at $10k. When I started trading then, I wasted all the money I had trying to learn how to trade. After having some basic knowledge about spot trading, I decided to jump into future trading, which was where I wasted all the money I had. I was getting addicted to future trading then because after losing all that I was having in future trading, I went to borrow money to continue trading futures, hoping I would win back my money, but I lost everything in future trading. At the end, I had to caution myself and force myself to trade the future, since then, I haven’t really gotten close to future trading.

The first time I bought bitcoin ? the value of Bitcoin is just hitting 1,500 dollars each but of course My capital is just 3 digits and bought only some part of bitcoin , what made you ask this mate? is there anything to follow about your question?
but that is the saddest part of my crypto journey because if I only add some value to my capital? I may have holding 1 whole Bitcoin now and yes had a x50 income from my holding for that long period of time .

Taken an entry at the trading was just this year when I say the bitcoin price was almost below $20k where i didn't understand to hold some coins or to sell them. But still can't lose hope and I had waited for the bull season and finally a bull season came. I had also got a decent profit in that bull session even though I had received so much loss when I start trading and my first trade was around 50$ which i hold the coins for about 2 days and got a loss of 20$ in that. But indeed that loss was the success to my start and still I'm very happy.

I do not know what your interest is to find out the price of Bitcoin at the time when the participant started trading, but you can open the BTC chart yourself and see the price of the coin at the time of registration of the participant on the forum.
I became aware of this forum in 2016 and started actively exploring the forum.
But I don't trade on Bitcoin right away and it certainly takes some learning first.

Interested in knowing the price of Bitcoin when trading for the first time may just want to know what has been missed and whether they are still holding on or selling their holdings quickly or still getting a lot of profit, It's more about remembering the past about trading with Bitcoin.

I second this. I bought my first bitcoins at around 80$ and started trading them a few month later until the price rallyed to about 1000$ in 2013. This was the time when I stopped my trading activities back then.
That means you realised that trading Bitcoin was less profitable compared to just holding? I noticed a lot of Bitcoiner started off with trading before they became holders, with few exceptions. Those who started with buying to hold for long term probably had divine revelation because I know there were so many uncertainties surrounding Bitcoin then.

However, as I was a complete novice in this area at the time, the losses in BTC terms were also quite high - but quite bearable in dollars at the time. But I would still very much like to have the BTC now Wink
It is obvious that there are not much people who can say they are so successful trading Bitcoin. I have followed several discussions here but not one person that have attested to becoming very successful as a Bitcoin trader. Maybe it should be their little secrets. On the other hand, there have been many successful people who achieved success by simply holding Bitcoin.

I found it at around $2000. it went up in a year to $10k. this really doesn't make sense. I remember it happened at the end of 2017. Unfortunately the high increase was followed by massive FUD the following year. I think a lot of people left crypto in the following year, even now it's not as exciting as 2017. I don't think that year will ever come back again even if bitcoin is bull.

Are you referring to the trading of the short term that you make a trade of futures or are you referring to the times when you bought your first bitcoin or rather satoshi? I started to buy my first satoshis around March of 2019 just to accumulate as possible then I also bought XRP as my altcoins and ETH those are the top listed coins well even now and then I make trade a couple of months or more because I dont have a good strategy yet so I study for a while with the help of internet and then I make a trade just around $100 and make a gain profit during bull market around $300 enough for a good run as a beginner but not as always is a green day so i just casually make a trade when i want.
The combination of learning and trading with a careful technique is laudable, especially given the unpredictable nature of the crypto market. A $300 profit as a rookie during a bull market is no minor achievement. Even though you accept the market's volatility, it's admirable that you've achieved success with returns throughout bull markets. Your wise technique of trading casually when you are confident demonstrates a balanced viewpoint, realizing that not every day in the market is a green day.

Bitcoin's playing around the 10k price point when I started to get serious about it and invest. Eventually I dropped it completely after a tumultuous crypto run that literally took everything that I have and more.
If you may, can you describe to everyone what it feels like to have everything that you have taken from you? I assume that it's a devastating thing for you to happen but our assumption of what you've felt after that is different and much more accurate. The time that you've started trading is a pretty rocky time for crypto because that's around pandemic right? So I can probably see what happened to you during that time, a lot of people faced difficulties during that time so in a way a lot shares your problem although it's not the same level since it can never be truly measured.

I can't remember the time that I've started trading or what price it was because it was such a long time and it's an on and off thing since I've done trading even when I was still in college so it's easy for me to forget but maybe I can say I've started even before the pandemic so probably around 5k to 8k. I envy those that have started trading back when bitcoin was still around 100 dollars, imagine if you were trading at around 1 to 5 btc at that time and then you stopped trading then you came back to it.

Bitcoin's playing around the 10k price point when I started to get serious about it and invest. Eventually I dropped it completely after a tumultuous crypto run that literally took everything that I have and more. I went back in 2020 trying my luck in this forum and that's when things went real well for me. That's also the first time I really took upon Spot trading for cryptocurrencies and bitcoin. If my memory serves me correctly the price of bitcoin was upwards of 30k which was a massive deal back then since this was way back when bitcoin was recovering and shooting from a measly 6k.

Lots of stuff happened till then, and while I don't trade as much anymore, it really opened my eyes to how integral and hard trading cryptocurrencies is, initially I thought you'd just place bets and stuff, when I was put in the ringer I realized there's more to this than just putting in your trades and hoping for the best.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

I am not an active trader but I still really remember the first time I tried trading Bitcoin around July 2017, at that time the price of Bitcoin was still around $2000, at that time I only tried to put money around $100 but then I immediately withdrew everything because at that time I couldn't make a profit, I only made a loss, I still remember that the money I withdrew was around $60, and to this day I still really regret what I did, if I had survived at that time I might have had a lot of Bitcoin because that was the price at that time it was still cheap.

Wish I had a good smartphone then I know how much would have been resting in my account today... But all the same I still got hold of some millions through crypto, and as for the price of Bitcoin then when I started it was in Satoshi I know and then it was worth like ₦400,000k In naira. And that's same year was when I started trading Alt coin and accumulation of AirDrops of different shit coin, What an history to remember.

I think it was most likely in the 150-200$ range when i first started trading. Before that i was just messing around and getting familiar with the scene. Now that i think about that, thats nearly x200
I second this. I bought my first bitcoins at around 80$ and started trading them a few month later until the price rallyed to about 1000$ in 2013. This was the time when I stopped my trading activities back then.

However, as I was a complete novice in this area at the time, the losses in BTC terms were also quite high - but quite bearable in dollars at the time. But I would still very much like to have the BTC now Wink

Now to think back on it. It really shows the power of holding aswell. For every 1 dollar i would have put into it i would at this moment have 250$. Thats a wild return! I know that people who are good at trading, understanding and finding trends would easily beat this (especially when crypto was wild at the starting years) but even by just holdings the potential is there.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
I don't remember what price of Bitcoin I started trading. The only thing I remember is that when I was started trading it was a bullish season, because there were so many mentorships coming out at that time. Their strategies are more effective because the market is bullish so that is the best time for them to do a mentorship program. But I think that trading is easy, I mean the lessons are easy to learn but the hard part is the live testing or the one to execute a trade. You can lose confidence if you lose.

In trading, you should not only take care of your trading plan and risk management, but also your emotions. That's why I can say that trading is not easy. If you enter trading, don't rely on it for a living, you must develop an edge first.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
I kind of forgot, but actually I think that I seemed to know about Bitcoin in October-November 2017, when the price of Bitcoin was around $6k if I'm not mistaken. I've forgotten a bit exactly. But at that time, unfortunately, I didn't buy it straight away, because I was still a beginner and didn't understand it very well. And I only really understood it from the beginning of 2018. But at that time I didn't have the courage to trade. Because that's how I learned trading at that time. Really. In fact, when I first saw BTC hype and reach ATH, I was very enthusiastic, I would have tried buying beforehand. And in the end it failed. After going through a fairly high ATH.

If I'm not mistaken, I finally really dared to trade Bitcoin at the end of 2019, when the price of Bitcoin was around $7k, but it wasn't that big. Because I was just learning. I studied the spot market first, then tried the future market which ultimately failed haha.
And at that time, I just tried holding, not trading Bitcoin, of course I got very high profits. That's why, since the bearish era last year, I made sure to hold whatever Bitcoin I had.

When I started investing into Bitcoin it was around $300 and I was not actively trading as Bitcoin back then was looked at as a P2P transfer service for which it was designed by Satoshi and those were the days when we used to purchase Bitcoin from the amount we earned mostly though warning on this very same forum through signature campaigns.

But I started active trading at a later stage when CEX started getting more popularity as DEX lacks UI.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

Started trading? I started earning Bitcoin through faucet when the price is only 100$ but that time trading is not yet popular in my country since CEX is not that well known here so I started trading a year before I start actually earning Bitcoin and learned basic knowledge on it.

I first trade my Bitcoin at price of 1000$ since it’s already x10 of my hard earned profit from faucet but loss all my profit by trading of garbage shitcoins on ccex.io exchange. I manage to accumulate a lot of Bitcoin using my salary from work few years after my misfortune on shitcoins but this time I hold Bitcoin and just purchase some altcoins without touching my Bitcoin investment.

I think that trading is not suitable option for earning because people have large percentage of loss when they have no knowledge. When I know about crypto then there was no such higher worth of bitcoin as that is today may be due to less acceptable by people and have less demand But now we see that the price become better annually.

The better option for taking profit from bitcoin is that one should keep bitcoin until he can because selling and buying on regular basis or daily basis will not give your any return but will be risky. I am not a part of trading but I have hold some coins for longer time and i hope that they will become more profitable in coming year.

Around $8k to 10k in the first quarter of 2018, post ATH bitcoin is still very volatile. I could easily get up to 5% weekly profit on the spot market which at that time was an extraordinary achievement (although most of my executions were based on the advice of my fellow trader).

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
I remember first learning about Bitcoin when I was in high school life and it was completely negative and scary just hearing its name. That Bitcoin is only used by hackers and to do legal activities. In fact I had nothing to do with it because there are still many people in our local region who know Bitcoin that way. However, that was just know the bitcoin name.
However, the desire to invest in Bitcoin and work with it arose when Bitcoin was at the peak time of the bull run.  At that time also didn't know much about it and didn't invest that much but then bitcoin price was around 30k. The funny thing is that a few months later Bitcoin touched its all-time high price and after touching the all-time high price, when the price of Bitcoin dumped a bit again, I got influenced by a person and invested and since then I have been holding that fund.

I came to this forum recently but I know about Bitcoin since 2017 when Bitcoin first made a great ATH. And I have been interested in Bitcoin trading since then and have seen a lot of Bitcoin behavior since then. I don't know how much you know about Bitcoin and how long you have been trading Bitcoin but I have been involved with Bitcoin for the past 6 years. Well, the last time I started trading in BTC, the price was around $32k, then after that, it went to $25k, and now to the current price. But when I first learned about BTC, it was back in 2018, but at that time I did not take any trades in it due to many reasons, such as the fact that I didn't have funds, didn't know how to buy BTC, didn't know how to do KYC, etc. The steps are not that hard, but I was a little young at the time. And I had less knowledge of how things work as I eventually started to waste time on useless free BTC-earning websites.

I did not learn about BTC and what potential it has, and even if I listened to any of the videos on YouTube, I think they are luring me into their own platform where they can scam us, as I had this solid mindset built by my father, who said to me that there is nothing like online earning when he bought me a PC. Well, the internet was not so common back in time around 2015, so in 2018, when the internet was common and I had a laptop and mobile, I spent a lot of time on different websites but made negligible amounts of money, and at the end, I gave up on everything until I found this forum in 2021 and started to join bounties and made some money, and this year I joined signatures and started to do trading here.

I'm not sure the exact time I started trading. but I remember a little about the first time I bought Bitcoin, the price range was $5k-$8k. I bought it several times from the local exchange. At that time my understanding regarding storing assets on the stock exchange was quite risky and not very good. so I don't have a hardware wallet, there is a trust wallet but I still leave it on the exchange. Of course, now I don't do that anymore. I made a profit from selling my first Bitcoin which I held for about a year. I missed the ATH, to be honest, it was disappointing but I got a pretty big multiple. I'm quite satisfied with that.

Trading? I'm not sure about that because I don't remember exactly, but I remember the price of Bitcoin when I first came to know about it and it was $425 which was shocking for me at that time to see a currency have a value so high and I was fascinated with this fact. I didn't know much about it at that stage, but I was eager to have some of it, so I started using faucets to claim tiny amounts of Bitcoin from them which I kept accumulating every single day.

I came to know about trading way later when I joined this forum and got so much knowledge and information about Bitcoin which I didn't know before but by that time, the price of Bitcoin was already pretty high and the world had started to recognize the full potential of Bitcoin and it's significance.

That's why I was nothing during those times, because I didn't have a job during those times either. But it's really like that, just from time to time. Now, I hope I can experience a good profit during this upcoming bull run.

When I started trading, there were over 20000 cryptocurrencies. How can I know the price of all of them.  Even I did not remember what the price bitcoin was at the time.

If you mean the amount of money that I used to start crypto trading? I did not remember

Or to know if I am gaining or losing? I lost money than gain.
Lol yeah, crypto isn't a single currency but in his second sentence, he mentioned BTC there, so this must be the crypto that he wants to know the most. You started when the number of crypto is already 20k plus. That number is kind a huge already so maybe you started not long ago? There is still a way to know the price of each crypto, and that is by opening Coinmarketcap or Coingecko.

There are cryptos who are listed in different coin listing sites, especially if they are still starting. For us to be sure, just check their website, social media channels, or groups. No, the OP doesn't want to know if how much money we used when we first trade a BTC but if we want to know it, there must be a record on the wallet and the exchanges that we use. It's normal that we can lose at first but later on, we can recover it if we have improved.

paper money is going away
I got into the Bitcoin scene when it was around $70, back when I was into PTC. As for trading Bitcoin, I started when it was in the range of $200-$250 per BTC. I was still in school then, so I didn't have much to invest, maybe just around $5 to $10.

In mid 2017, I became a bit more active and increased my accumulated BTC until I hit the bull run around Christmas 2017, which brought in some significant profits. The excitement from that experience made me want to stay close to Bitcoin ever since.

If only I had taken Bitcoin seriously when I first heard about it, it might have been something big now.  Grin

Well, it's kind of late when I started trading or when I finally have the courage and knowledge to trade crypto currency, especially bitcoin. At first, I do trades from altcoins and shitcoins, taking advantage of the shitcoins, and so far, I've managed to earn from them and from altcoins, but of course, it's only part of investing time to gain experience while studying the necessary things to learn to trade bitcoin efficiently, so I started trading bitcoin assets when their price was between $20k and $19k per bitcoin. And of course, trading is not perfect, so I often face loss trades, which is normal, and I am still trading these days, but with more foundation in trading, so I can say I can earn more than what I lose in trading bitcoin and, of course, some altcoins. The thing I changed is that I stopped trading with shitcoins as I experienced how bad investing and trading is.

Was the question about the first time trading it? Probably at $3k to $4k but that was few years back and I can say that the movement is really awesome. Able to sell some during peaks and sideways but since last year it was struggling at 18k to 22k level for so long and eventually make a break out of water when the market started favoring all the fundamentals right now just like the bitcoin halving.

Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks
Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
I started trading in 2018 when the price of Bitcoin was slowly going down. I think the price was around $12,000 - $14,000.

Back then, I was still a newbie in the crypto space and still learning the essential information that I needed. However, like most newbies out there, they got attracted when they knew that they could earn money through trading, so what I did was I did some research regarding trading, and watched some tips and tricks that will help me. Most of the videos that I watched are saying one thing in common and that is "You will experience a lot of losses as a newbie." From that, I decided to try it and invested only a few dollars in my own pocket (I think that was around $10). Well, I made some small profits in my first trades, but over time, I'm making some mistakes that caused me to eventually lose my money.

No regrets coming from me at that time because I already knew that the chances of me losing my money were really high. I guess the experience is what matters to me.

I don't remember the exact amount but I think it was right after the bullrun I started trading, in the year 2022 I started trading but the market declined too much which resulted in a huge loss at that time.  Until I realized that trading is more risky than investing if you will hold your asset in long period of time.

Since then, I have known how to invest in Bitcoin using the DCA method of purchasing it which is a potential way of gaining profit at the right time.  Though it take time but you can reduce the risk compared to trading.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

Does it really matter? Most of us cannot even remember accurately when we started trading and what the Bitcoin price was then. I know that when I started trading, it was not Bitcoin that I started trading with first. I was trading one particular altcoin just on buy/sell; I buy low and sell high, and it was a daily routine that I do, and back then there was this very volatile altcoin that gets very volatile almost every day. I made a profit with that coin and some other ones too, but when I first traded Bitcoin on futures, it was not quite long before I stopped trading.

Bitcoin is achievement
The price does not matter, the most important thing is how much you bought and how long you keep, as some people heard about Bitcoin when the price was $100 and did not invest until the price reached the $10,000 barrier, and others invested millions of dollars at prices less than $7,000. The most important thing is not to despair, to start now. Bitcoin is considered a long-term investment. When I first learned about Bitcoin, the price was between $900 and $3,000, and I thought the price was very high. I started buying between $4,000 and $16,000 and finally at prices of $22,000 to our current price.
That's I do emphasise always that no time someone invest in bitcoin is waste, because the more people invest in bitcoin the more it get propagate, the values of bitcoin in year 2023 may not be the value of bitcoin in year 2024 and 2025, like as you said base on your theory and when you started investing in bitcoin when it's at $4000 whereas some people invested in bitcoin when the price was below 4000, so their is no time someone invest with bitcoin is most preferable, investment of Bitcoin is base on your financial strength and the duration you want before making a withdraw, I think long-term investment is the best and is meant for risk takers and rich people who is not money conscious or inquisitive.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
Not all traders will remember how much they used to kickoff a trading journey, what matters in trading is that do you make a profit in trading because the primary concern of a trader is to make a profit because when a profit making is not manifesting a trader will not summon a courage to trade more.

A trading is a something of risk and its something someone will weak up and join without knowing the rudiments of Trading, most of the people who loss out in trading or ventures into trading without understanding the concept, is because they have heard of trading and they think that trading is a short cut to make money without knowing the output and input of trading.

If you use all money you have for trading in this market and use leverages for trading, you will lose all your money soon.
That's while I stipulated that someone have to know the advantages and disadvantages of trading before venturing into it, it will be more better and encouraging for someone who don't know rudiments of Trading to venture into buying and selling of bitcoin either for short-term investment or long-term investment base on its financial strength

Excel is fun
In 2014, that was about $200 more or less.

I wasn't actively trading then. I just did a couple of small buys and sells and that's it. Afterwards, I just continued buying more and more coins and hoarded them. Back then I thought $300 was the highest price bitcoin can do after that $1.1k peak back in November 2013. I thought that I missed the train, and all that's left of bitcoin are remnants that will no longer take off simply because it already had its time. Yet I still bought, and fast forward to 2017, I was one of the lucky guys whom held through it all and made a fortune keeping bitcoins and selling them at the right time.

Had I known that bitcoin will reach insanely higher highs, I would have used every single penny of my paycheck in buying bitcoins to maximize my profit. Then again, there's no way of knowing that, and I'm still contented with what I got right now.

If I didn't work correctly it was around $35,000 when I first started learning about Bitcoin. When I've learned it (not everything) I was so eager to trade. I made few trades without any knowledge how to thread Bitcoin or even used to buy or sell option to do spot trades. I got better at it eventually after few tries, but that wasn't ensuring me with profit. I took a huge risk and put half of my assets into buying Bitcoin and then it fell down to $29,000. It was a big loss for me because I got panicked and sold everything taking a loss.

After that I moved on to holding and learn trading in that process while I hold. I'm not going to say that I'm a good trader right now but I have learned a few things here and there with which I can make some profit nowadays. But I have taken a break from it. The Bitcoin halving event is near so it is better to just hodl.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?
The time or moment that i was aware or able to learn about Bitcoin is on the time that it was still sitting around $200-300 but i havent involved myself with trading on that time. Smiley

The main thing on my mind into those times or moments is that i've been engaging on airdrops, bounties and signature campaign and other things which that could make me able to earn
Bitcoin or other coins which i could really be able to hold. Trading interest had just that become that possible on the time that i have experienced that first bull run on which it did
give out that kind of interest for me to tend to make some snipping out some profits with market volatility but of course those are on the time that i have made out some money
on the things that i've been doing. Getting some capital for you to trade would really be that mainly needed because you cant really be able to start up on the time
that you do lack capital which it is of course common sense. lol

To be fair I do not remember the exact price of how much it was, I can't say to the last dollar, it was somewhere around 100-200 dollars, it was between those prices I am 100% sure about that much, it was definitely between those, but I am not sure how much it was. This isn't something easy that I could make sure that easily, it is something difficult to know beforehand to be fair. I get that some people may have some sort of approach to it differently and I can understand that, it is not an issue, but that doesn't mean that I can remember it.

Plus, just because we got into it early doesn't mean that we made a lot of money, I got in when it was under 200 dollars, at that time I had some money, if I put all my money in, I would be rich, but neither did I invested that much, nor I kept the bitcoins that I got during those times, it went up a little, I made a little profit and I sold it. So getting in early all by itself is not really equal to getting rich.

Not only advice but also my warning.
Don't trade
Never use leverage trading or futures trading.

Buy Bitcoin and hold it in your non custodial open source wallet.

Actually, trading can be very risky and stressful activity and in fact, it's not right for everyone especially people who are too emotional. And by the way, you don't need to trade in order to invest. There are other ways to grow your money in cryptocurrency apart from trading such as investing or staking. So if you're not comfortable with trading, you can still build wealth without it. Although, trading can be profitable if you are very skillful in it but you need to dedicate your time to learn it very well and how to handle your emotions and greediness while trading.

But staying away completely from trading because of the risk involved is not the way forward. I think it's more advisable to encourage people to learn about and not rather trading blindly. It's another opportunity to make money if you can do it better.

I traded Bitcoin when the Bitcoin price was still around $700. Just where I failed to convince my father to provide investment capital in Bitcoin at that time, in another way I made savings, by saving half my spending money for one month in order to buy Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin at that time in the amount of $50 for all three.

Bitcoin was below $300 when I first got into crypto in 2015 or so, honestly, sometimes, I just can't deal with how much opportunities I've lost since I first discovered and got into crypto, bitcoin was below $300 like i said before, but before i was able to buy my first bitcoin, the price of bitcoin has already risen to i think about $800 and above, and still, even after buying, i couldn't hold it for too long as i wanted due to financial challenges, back then, i was doing almost nothing, i was working but the payment was very little, i managed to save a small amount of money and buy bitcoin, but ended up selling it before time because something very important came up and i just can't have money in bitcoin and yet suffer such challenge, i had to sell to solve the issue.

But then, all this are by gone now, but i still regret this thing because, if i had the money to invest in bitcoin when i first meet it, by now, i would be very comfortable, even if i sold all my bitcoins during 2017/2018 bull run, i still would have made a very significant amount of money as profit.

I started trading bitcoin when the price was around 7k if I remember correctly. I even saw the bitcoin price around the 4K level but I stopped trading bitcoin after the Luna crash. Actually I was already taking losses due to the start of the bear market and the Luna crash wiped out my full portfolio because I was doing DCA by hoping it would recover. I stopped trading after that and only held projects I liked for the long term.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane and reminisce about the early days of our crypto journeys. It's fascinating to see how far we've come since we first stepped into the world of cryptocurrencies.

The question today is how much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading?

The question today is how much was crypto when you started trading?
When I started trading, there were over 20000 cryptocurrencies. How can I know the price of all of them.  Even I did not remember what the price bitcoin was at the time.

If you mean the amount of money that I used to start crypto trading? I did not remember

Or to know if I am gaining or losing? I lost money than gain.

The question today is how much was crypto when you started trading?
Your question is like about how much is your trading capital when you started trading in cryptocurrency market, is it your question?

Trading is risky and in this very volatile market, more volatile than traditional markets together with very high leverages for trading, risk is bigger. If you can not control your emotion, greediness, you will lose money.

If you use all money you have for trading in this market and use leverages for trading, you will lose all your money soon.

Not only advice but also my warning.
Don't trade
Never use leverage trading or futures trading.

Buy Bitcoin and hold it in your non custodial open source wallet.
