An old block eruptor will earn you less than 1000 satoshis a day. You will get more from faucets. It belongs in the museum.

you can get 25 btc if you solo mine with it

just like lottery ticket but draw is every 10 minutes Smiley

I'm not going to bother with the math but the chances of solo mining a block with a block erupter has to be much worse than the crappiest lottery, lol.

show me lottery when you have ticket valid by lifetime and draw is every 10 minutes and you can win new good car.

valid by lifetime is not true... an additional power cost is needed to keep the ticket(block erupter) valid ...every sec

Even my Antminer S3+ is impossible to ROI because of the high difficulty

You cant make money with that block erupter.
I think 1th/s and higher is the best for now..

One additional thing I meant to add. While phillipma1957 is one of the most respected folks here, and his list represents  probably the best hardware available, you still won't get rich from one of the pieces of hardware he mentioned.  If you are lucky, you'll make your money back, over your electricity costs, and have some money left over to take your family out to dinner.

If your financial situation isn't such that you can see your hardware investment drop to zero value, I would discourage you from starting into Bitcoin mining in a serious way. My simplistic view is:

Don't invest anymore into Bitcoin than you are prepared to lose.

There are worse things in the Bitcoin realm than to spend $15 and realize you won't get rich. You could have decided to take a flyer and spend huge sums of retirement money on Bitcoin mining hardware.

hi,
i am really new to all of this and pretty confused. So if i bought a little asic block erupter miner, and i read that it is something around 565 mh/s for 24 hours would get you 1 bitcoin, so i would get 1 coin in about a day and a third, and Google says that a bitcoin is 232.99 USD. does this mean by paying like 15 dollars for a little piece of hardware I would be making $230 in a little over a day, every day? I have got to be mistaken, correct? Thanks for helping

Okay yeah you should come to the site first that 15 dollars will be lost. Other then what you can learn from it.

First question is what is your power cost?
Second question is what can you afford to spend?
Third question is where do you live?  If in the USA just tell us the state if in a different country tell us the country.

If you are in europe you have to pay VAT to buy gear 20% or so.
If your power is more then 10 cents a kwatt making money mining in your home is hard to do.

Here is are 3 pieces of gear that are decent if you have the money to buy them.

Avalon4
Bitmaintech s-5
Spondoolies-Tech sp20

all of them are 370 usd and up

You are out by about a factor of 1 million. That device will earn 1 bitcoin in 17,000 years on average if bitcoin difficulty doesn't change.
