What is fair price for 1000 ghash ?

bitcoiner49er told 75BTC can be mined in the next year, so 90 BTC seems bit overpay, or Im wrong?

Right now the fair price would be 5$ per GH/s....

you said fair price, but where to buy at fair price?

Fair?  Cheesy I like the way you think! I'd buy in at $5/GHs

As of today, Oct 30, I'd say you could expect 60+ BTC in the next year. So buy accordingly.

1 ghash is 1000 mhash (1024 even) so if he has 1000 ghash its 1000000 mhash roughly

1 Ghash is exactly equal to 1000 Mhash. "Giga" and "Mega" are well-defined metric prefixes meaning 1,000,000,000 and 1,000,000 respectively. Lets not introduce the power-of-2 nonsense that is present in storage-related prefixes.

Okay thx for the information my mistake then. Funny how you always bring up the metric system ^.^

60Ghz this week earns me 0.09 per 24 hours(actual earnings, no calculations) which is about 1.44BTC a day if it were 1 Thash

now comes the maths part

that works out that if you didnt spend any and put all of your earnings into buying more GHash, you would be putting in 14Ghash a day (196GHash every 2 weeks(under 20%)) back into the cloud

which does not cover the 30-50% difficulty change. this means it is NOT worth you endlessly buying up GHash just to TRY keep to a similar income. because you wont achieve it, your'll always be on a losing battle. unless the price per Ghash dropped significantly

id recommend you take that 1.44BTC a day (20BTC a fortnight)
then take the 0.9BTC a day (12BTC a fortnight)
and in under a year you will have ROI and hopefully something bigger and cheaper to invest in will pop up and give you better returns

I thought it was 2 weeks?  It's every 10 days now?

Because the difficulty increases 40%, thus the 4 days got eaten alive...

How much in BTC would I get if I started mining with a 1000 gh/s rig in the cloud?

Thanks

0.0019 Bitcoin per day, after the next difficulty increase then 0.0013 Bitcoin per day Smiley

I think you've got a decimal point in the wrong place...

I think you mean 1.9 bitcoin per day right now...and later 1.3 bitcoin.  But that's right now...they start shipping a lot later...i think January..so you might not even get a return.
I don't think you need to ship "rigs in the cloud".

1000 GH/S will bring you in just under 1 BTC per day. Today. That will go down next time difficulty increases. You should think about contract periods and your daily rate. You can predict the future till the next difficulty increase. After that it's a bit of guess work.

Btc difficulty increases so fast, but u can relay on profitability calculators if you keep your profit in btc. When btc value increases you get more money Smiley)

  • About $11,800 in the first month
  • About $5,770 in the second month
  • ...continues to decline after that

* Assumes you started mining at 1000 ghash/sec on October 1 2013 (24 days ago)

You did not ask about profit after your cost to buy the ghash/sec

Try various mining calculators to figure it out - here's one: http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/

I'm making about 0.0018 BTC/day with 1GHash/s on cex.io
So if you're planning a 1 THash/s miner you'll gain more or less 1.8 BTC/day with current difficulty, but next retarget will be in less than 48 hours (mind calculation, maybe I'm wrong)

if you google a little you will find different miningcalculators around. If you are speaking of cex.io this can give you a rough estimate of what you get:
http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator
It doesntwork with difficulty changes though but who knows if you hold on to your ghash for that long anyways.
If you use cex you could signup via my ref link ^.^ PM me then. Good luck with the mining anyways.
